After a breakup with my ex nearly tore our band apart, I swore I'd never date another musician. Who has time for romance when they're on their first nationwide tour anyway?
However, that all changes when I find myself swooning for the guitar players of Rhage, the masked metal band we're opening for.
Daire and Steele are identical from their outfits to the way they whisper tempting promises in my ear between sets. They're hard to resist and I'm curious to know what secrets lie beneath their disguises.
Will letting these twins sweep me off my feet be what I truly need, or will their dark and mysterious truth rock me to my core?
Riot is an MFM monster romance and the second book in the Monsters of Metal series.
Riot is the second book in the Monsters of Metal series by R.K. Pierce. This is an MFM romance with Ashton, Daire and Steele and I really enjoyed it.
Ashton is the lead singer of the cover band that goes on stage before Rhage. She is getting over the break up of a bad relationship with a former band member and has sworn off ever dating musicians again.
Daire and Steele both play in Rhage. They are twins, and share a life force which means that what ever one experiences, the other does as well. They share a soul. They have found themselves increasingly intrigued by the lead singer of their cover band. When they finally talk to her, her nervousness makes her all the more appealing.
Ashton also feels drawn to the two masked musicians. But strange things keep happening when she’s around them, like fainting when she’s never fainted in her life. She has so many questions for them. Why don’t they ever take off their masks? Why does Daire keep insisting that they need to keep their distance from her for her own protection? Would getting involved with these two be another mistake putting her band in jeopardy? Or is it a risk worth taking? Because she doesn’t just want one of them, she wants them both.
I really liked this one, maybe even more then the first one! I felt like it was fast moving with a little bit of everything. I also loved getting to see some of Sebastian and Niki from the first book. I haven’t read many monster romances but I’m so glad I read this one.
I saw the words Monster Rockstar Romance and downloaded this SO fast. Opening the CWs to include quadruple penetration told me I was in the right place.
This is the second book in the series and twin demons from the band Rhage fall for the FMC who is the screamer and lead singer for one of their opening acts. There is some murder, violence and light stalking, and some accidental hellspawn battling.
This is a little of a slower burn but the spicy scenes were worth it! Absolutely recommend if you want something kinda cozy, kinda smutty, and totally different.
Riot: A Monster Rockstar Romance is book two in the Monsters Of Metal series by R.K. Pierce.
💜 lead singer FMC 💜 masked band 💜 rockstar romance 💜 he falls first 💜 🌶🌶🌶 spicy spice
Ashten just wants to move on and forget her ex. That now includes changing their band name that he came up with and was only supposed to be a placeholder while they got started. As her band tours opening for Rhage, she needs to make a name for herself. So she’s been studying them, Rhage, and trying to emulate what they are doing. But the Imp twins always capture her attention. Are they twins? What do they look like under those masks? How do they play so well?
This was another great installment into this series. While this is about the Imp twins and Ashten, it couldn’t technically be read as a stand alone, but I wouldn’t recommend it. This story includes the full band like before and there are pieces that you would understand better if you read the the first book before reading this one. But, I love Ashten and all of her sassiness and willingness to stand up for herself. This was a great addition and I can’t wait for the next book to come out.
Daire and Steele, the duo I knew I needed. I absolutely loved everything about this book. The fact that the FMC is a FEMALE rocker whattttt, LOVE THAT SO MUCH!!! Everyone deserves lovin, especially these two demons. This was a 5 star for me. I fall more in love with monster romance after every book I read from R.K.!!!
I love Rhage and was so excited for book 2. It definitely didn’t disappoint. I almost like it better than Rhage because Ashton is such a strong confident FMC. I enjoy the pushback she gives the twins. I can’t wait for book 3!
The characters are so fantastic - the twins are just as dark and mysterious as Sebastian is but it is definitely a different dynamic when it’s 2 demons in place of 1! And Ashtyns character is sassy and cool, making their thruple ELECTRIC!
Loved everything about this!! From the first page, I couldn't put it down. Ashten is the perfect rocker chick FMC! She's feisty and loves what she does. She's completely starstruck by Rhage but especially the twins (Daire and Steele ). And they are more enamored with her than they realize. I wouldn't call this a a slow burn, but they aren't immediate jumping to spicy times. It takes some time for the twins to realize they can trust Ashten with their huge secret. There is so much tension! Not just between Ashten and Daire and Steele, but also between the twins themselves. They both crave Ashten but battle with whether or not she can be trusted and if she would even want them. But once they all just let go?? Lots and lots of hotness!! It's spice OVERLOAD!! Of course, we also get to see the rest of Rhage and even Niki!
I’ve been dying for the twins book and it was so good! The fight for Ashten and her fight with her emotions… it was complelling and kept me curious about the way they were gonna get their HFN. How will they eventually approach tether disagreement. Man Steele stole the show for that lovely surprise but Ashten took it like a champ 😉 I am absolutely in love with these three and maybe favor Daire a little more 😜 but it’s all in good fun 🤩
I haven’t read many monster romances, and this was my first rockstar one altogether, but I really enjoyed it! The concept of their band being masked and completely anonymous was of course hot. We all know how popular that is right now. And Ash being the lead for the opener of their show? Yes! I loved when Daire and Steele were telling her good they thought she was. Supporting your girl is always super cute. And the twins in general… I personally wouldn’t be able to handle all of what they were packing, but I would certainly try if you catch my drift. I can’t wait for this series to continue!
Ashten is the lead singer of a rock band, touring with Rhage a headlining rock band. She is intrigued by the twin rock stars and wants to learn everything about them.
Absolutely loved the book. As a first read by this author I'm keen to read the first book to see where it all began.
We are back with the bands. Rhage may be the main act but Ashten is from one of the warm up bands. She is a killer singer and has one hell of a crush on the twins from Rhage. But the twins are all about breaking the rules and they may just break her heart. Can she be trusted with their biggest secret?
Couldn't ask for anything better than my favorite music genre plus twin demon smut! I adored this continuation of the band Rhage with Steele and Daire's story, this was a fantastic HEA with Ashten the strong lead singer of her own metal band. The chemistry is off the charts and I devoured this book! Can't wait for the third in the series.
Monster Rockstar Romance? Yes, please! I really enjoyed this one! I like that the fmc is a rocker as well as the mmc's but not in the same band. Riot is a bit of a slow burn, but when that spice hits... wow. Also, those brothers are hiding more than the fact their demons.
R.K. always surprises me with what she writes and Riot was no different. I'm ready for the next!!
Why choose/MFM, demons, and rockstars, yes please! This book will quickly grab attention. Filled with spice, a little humor, suspense and more. Ashten, Steele, and Daire were so hot together! I hope we get to hear from the again. An overall devilishly delicious read!
So I really loved this book! I’ve recently dipped my toe into monster smut and now I think I want to go swimming! Daire and Steele are just delectable and hilarious, who doesn’t want twin demons chasing after you? Ashten is a fierce kick ass chick who puts those twins in their place, or maybe her place ;) Together they are smutty, funny and keep you guessing!
🔥 “We belong to you just as much as you belong to us.” ~~~ Ashten is amazing! Not only is she an incredibly talented singer, but she's an even more awesome woman! Ashten is strong, resilient and always learning to be better at performing. Even more, she’s sassy, fierce, stubborn, determined and never backs down from a challenge. She’s definitely a force to be reckoned with and I absolutely loved her!
And then we have two of the most mischievous members of the masked metal band Rhage - Daire and Steele! Those two are not only quite naughty but always looking for trouble, too. Both are extremely talented musicians and irresistible and mysterious in their own way. Even more, the twins are cocky, confident, charming, fiercely protective and quite dangerous when needed. Steele and Daire are phenomenal males and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about them!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Ashten, Daire and Steele! Since they started touring together, all of them have had their eyes on each other. But, after a really bad breakup that almost tore her band apart, Ashten has sworn off rockstars and the twins, on the other hand, are keeping dangerous secrets. I adored those three together! I loved their chemistry, their banters, teasing and the constant push and pull. But as much as three tried to resist the growing attraction, what’s meant to be cannot be denied. And when they couldn’t resist the undeniable need for one another, the passionate moments they shared were off-the-charts hot, and I couldn’t get enough! Daire and Steele are quite the naughty demons… double trouble if you ask me. And each of them is packing double “trouble”, too (iykwim). Oh, HOLY (HELLISH?!) HOTNESS! Ashten, Steele and Daire were so perfect together and deserved to find happiness and love with each other.
In addition, there were some surprises, suspense, danger and twists that kept me glued to the pages till the very end.
Overall, Riot is another spectacular addition to the series and I absolutely loved every page of it!
I’ve been waiting for this book, since I became obsessed with book one last year, so I was more than ready to devour this…
And devour I did. Every moment just proved to me this was worth the wait, from the story to the spice; I loved everything about these twins, their bond, their fights, their connection. Every. Damn. Thing.
It may be a slow burner, but once that heat hits, the temperature rises quicker than you can prepare for… a double bubble of double trouble. Let that soak in, and then tell me you don’t wanna read this book…
That being said, I reckon it’s actually the twist you need to watch out for, because that left me in range of states, you’ve got to give it to Ashten, that’s a heck of a lot to deal with in one go.
So if you’re looking for double the fun (in every way) and the kind of story that has you doing a double-take, Riot has you covered.

Ashten, lead singer for Maelstrom and Daire and Steel, demon twin masked guitarists for Rhage, what could go wrong?
Ashten’s ex has left her and the band. It’s left her feeling that mixing musicians and love are a really bad idea. But she has a fascination with the twins from Rhage. They’re mysterious, Daire tells her to stay away, Steele draws her closer. She doesn’t understand how they manage to do some of the things they’ve done, but she’s determined to get answers.
The twins, called Imps by everyone because all of Rhage except Sebastian go fully masked at all times, are a sexy mystery. They’ve been attracted to Ashten for months, watching her open for them at every single show. Daire and Steele both want Ashton, the difference is that Daire is willing to let her go to protect her, Steele thinks keeping her will protect her more, plus, he wants her.
I already love R.K. Pierce’s books, I love her world building and the characters she creates. She’s not afraid of dark, twisted or taboo plot and plot twists. I love how the three of them work through their issues, and it isn’t just them, the rest of the band is a part of it as well. While this is a great stand alone, it’s also part of an over-arching story, we get more hints of things to come. (oohhhh who’s falling next?) This book was fun, full of witty comebacks, sexy times, and suspense and plot surprises. I can’t wait till the next one.
I need to give a bigger rating than 5 stars!! It's worth twice that! First off, let's just say that I have been climbing the walls until the day came for this release. I absolutely enjoyed Rhage. It was one of the first things I read by R.K. and that world sucked me right in. I was beyond excited to get drawn back into this world with Riot. R.K. did NOT disappoint. I was feeling ALL of the emotions with Ashten. A sense of draw, waves of wave, hints of curiosity--everything! It was absolutely exciting to see how the twins and Ashten did their dance of attempting to stay away for her safety. (I won't deny that I wasn't rooting for them to fail at that and cave into those desires. ;) ) Seeing how they start bonding was amazing. We even get more insight to the overall plot, where Rhage deals with the constant danger of being found out/hunted down by other demons. Even Sebastian and Niki made another debut! I could not get enough of this book and I was super sad to see I had finished it! It is a goal to get a paperback ASAP so I can have it on the shelf with Rhage, so I can reread them both over and over. I eagerly wait for the next book with delight! OBVIOUSLY I hardcore recommend this book ;)
Rhage is still collecting hearts with each sold out show. Ashten and her group are touring with Rhage as their opening act. Ashten is a huge Rhage fan and enjoys traveling with the band immensely; she also enjoys watching two Rhage members who are twins in every way. Steele, and Daire are twins in every way. They share the same lifeforce and have telepathic abilities. They are thick as thieves, but they find themselves bumping heads over their intentions with Ashten. Where Daire is somewhat smitten with Ashten; Steele only sees her as a good time until he didn't.
Ashten is drawn to both brothers but the one thing she never meant to do was get between them. Steele wants a good time and Daire wants more but fears how she will react once she realizes what they truly are. Ashten knows the twins are keeping secrets from her and she doesn't relent until they spill their secrets. What was meant to be a good time turned into something entirely different once lines were crossed and Steele and Daire's need for Ashten went far beyond mere attraction and obsession.
Danger is lurking in the shadows. Will Steele and Daire put aside their differences to keep Ashten and the members of Rhage safe or will their egos and pride doom them all?
tropes: -demon daddies but make it a throuple (MFM) -masked men -monster smut -rockstar romance
This book…was such an amazing second installment in this series. I loved rhage and riot was no different. I loved the dynamic between all three of them, the way that Ash had her own individual connections with both Steele and Daire and the complications that an MFM romance would have in real life.
I won’t lie. This book is full of SMUT. So much amazing monster smut, and I don’t want to spoil the anatomy much but YES it’s different than Sebastian’s and YES it’s a dream come true. The smut is unbelievably hot and thank you for the millionth time 🤣.
I’m usually not into MFM (unless the boyfriends are boyfriends) because the concept of the complications and jealously stresses me out a little, but I think this captured that balance really well without being unrealistic. Some books don’t talk about it or make everyone just seem so perfectly in tune but people aren’t like that! (I guess even demons get insecure?)
Anyway, please please read this book. I recommend reading Rhage first just to get the plot secured in your mind (and also why the heck wouldn’t you it’s so good?) but I’m sure it could be read standalone.
TWIN MONSTERS WITH 2 PEENS EACH?!? SIGN ME TF UP 💚💚💚💚 This was everything I could’ve wanted and more!!! When RK was telling me that she wanted to take more time to make this perfect I told her I would love it regardless- LOVE was an understatement. I FREAKIN ADORED THIS BOOK. It had me feeling alllll the feels- swooning, laughing and almost crying. Not to mention my heart was in my throat during the hellbeast scene, the fear I felt for Steele, Ashten and Daire was suffocating. THE SPICY SCENES- LORD HAVE MERCY THE DOUBLE PEENS HAD ME LIKE A BITCH IN HEAT. Can’t forget about the split tongues either… Those monsters sure know how to make a woman scream that’s for sure 😅 The twin monsters stole my heart and soul, I’m officially owned by Steele and Daire… I don’t think Tommy will be pleased to know that I sold my soul to them but it’s not my fault that RK creates top tier demon daddies!!!! I loved Ashten’s stubbornness and back chat towards the S & D, it was freakin hilarious how she put the hot as hell demons in their place. I LOVED IT!!!!
What I loved: • Female rockstar • Monster band • Twin demons as the love interests Riot completely fits the bill if you’re looking for an easygoing, humorous, quick read that features a little romance between monsters 👹 and a human 🙋♀️ Daire and Steele are the twin love interests of Ashten our FMC who is on tour with them. They’ve been watching her from afar and quickly develop feelings for her. Who can blame them when she’s so feisty and doesn’t let them get by without answering for things that don’t add up about her interactions with them. I like the vibe between the three characters and even though Daire was my favorite I understand why Ashten fell for both. I’m really looking forward to following the series and seeing what adventures the trio gets up to as additional characters stories are told.

“We belong to you just as much as you belong to us”
Amazing second book! 🤩 It was even better than I expected!! Even though this book is different main characters from the first book, I would recommend reading the first book to get to know everyone. I feel like this was a bit of a slower burn to love than the first in the series but it was perfectly written, I absolutely craved the tension! I literally fell in love with the twins, even though they share a life force they’re unique to themselves and I loooved their personalities!! I’m OBSESSED with this series and already excited on the next book!🤩 Thank you so much to the author for allowing me to be an ARC reader!
