About the author

I love nothing more than creating characters - both on page and on-stage! I studied English Literature at Sheffield University, spent a year at UNC-Chapel Hill, followed by a crazy year at Mountview drama school, a national Shakespeare tour, and back-packing through South-East Asia. I love all genres, and am busily working on a variety of projects from novels to picture-books - whilst playing the odd princess/assassin/zombie in-between!

I give this book 3.5*. Overall rating was gotten after each short story was given a mark out of 5.

This book is short stories on love and heartbreak from some great authors.

I liked this story. Loved Charlie would love to hear more from Charlie and Vita. The story made me want to hear more from Charlie. 3.5*

My embarrassing mother by Monica McInerney

I liked this story. It was a slightly more serious story than the first three. The consequences on two children due to their parents actions. 2.5*

Lost in translation by Sinead Moriarty

I liked it. Could kind of see where it was going. Like extracurriculars feels like the story could continue. 3*

The Movie Kiss by Joanna Nadin

I didnt really like this story. I didnt get all the references, you would have to be a movie buff to get them. I didnt like the writing style. 1.5*

I loved this story. I couldnt see where it was going which was great. Was a cute read! 5*

I loved 'My Embarrassing Mother', 'All of a Sudden', and 'Dog Days'. All the instant love bothered me a lot and none of it was terribly original, but those three were rather sweet and made me smile.

I’m 17 reading this. It’s cute. Way lower reading level than I’m used to but a good easy filler to keep me occupied during study for my exams.

A short story collection for readers aged 16+ with a romance theme. It was published originally in 2012 and most of the entries were heavily British with references to places that have since closed down. There are mature themes throughout such as terminal illness, bullying and broken families which younger readers may find uncomfortable.

This was such a cute book! I love romantic anthology’s and even though this was a little bit young for me I really did enjoy it.
A nice quick fun read and so many cute scenes.
I’m not sure I can pick a favourite but I can definitely relate to the girl who wants the film romance.
If you want a cute, quick, fun read then go ahead.

This book is sooo good I found it by chance and it's the best chance everrr, every story somehow touched my heart and it's easy and fast to read I finished half of it in one reading session, it's a really good romantic book with some happiness and pain .. really had a real meaning and really love lessons. I really was surprised that it wasn't that popular because no way it's so so good.

this book is a very good read especially if your a young teenager, but the only problem is because they are all short love story’s you are left wanting more from each story which you never get.

In the story "Dog Days" there was a vet called Faith and she cared for a tortoise... that's just beautiful.
