Well written with a big, big editing issue. This is a stand-alone story with no cliffhanger, but the seeds are sown for the next book in the story.
This is another original story concept with really interesting, complex characters who have horrific tragedies and emotional traumas they've overcome or are working through. With two hot South African alpha males, there's significant heat throughout the book. For a romance, there's not actually a lot of wooing -- mostly avoiding -- but the story moves through romantic, interesting parts of the world.
The lead female character is a little odd, but if you stretch your imagination, not beyond the realm of believable. A smart, young, attractive, wealthy executive at her father's company, she has some self-confidence and self-perception issues to overcome. Very sheltered, even though she's a top exec, she's looking for an adventure to help her figure out who she really is and what she really wants.
So, the editing issue. I didn't actually count the occurrences, but I'm guessing more than 50 and probably more like 100 instances of swapping first and third person styles -- mid sentence. (i.e. His fingers touched my nose and slid up to the fabric covering her eyes. This is a scene between two people, not three.) It seems that perhaps the book was first written in third person and then the author decided to switch to alternating first person POVs. No issue with that decision, but it appears that maybe this was does with a simple search and replace. . . or something. Whatever the strategy, it didn't work and clearly nobody reread the book in its entirety. The issue is SUPER distracting.
Despite the wacky editing issue, I strongly recommend this one because the characters are original, I learned a little about some interesting new spots around the world, and there's a lot of heat and chemistry along the way.
