This was a re-read for me and I liked it all the same the second time around. I enjoyed the narration of how the story went back and forth between the friends’ previous trips and current one. It’s a fairly easy and fast read about two friends who go on yearly summer trips until something happens on a trip two years ago and they haven’t talked since then. Poppy plans a current trip, two years after the one that broke their friendship, and wants to ensure everything goes perfectly to fix what has been lost.

The People We Meet on Vacation is a really fun and heartwarming read. The story follows two best friends on years of vacations together, and the slow-burn romance between them is both sweet and emotional. It’s an easy, feel-good book with lots of humor and great character chemistry.

I loved this one so much more than Beach Read. It truly gave me Nicholas Spark and rom-con kind of vibes. Now if it wasn't so predictable and some of the characters didnt get quite annoying then it would have been an easy 5 star.

I started reading this book when it first came out and I couldn’t finish it. I listened to it this time and it was definitely good, but I still thought it was super slow! The story line is super cute but I just get a little bored with how long it takes to get to the point.

Story about Poppy and Alex and 12 summers of life together and vacations. Till they realize they love each other.

I enjoyed the style of the storytelling. It’s unique sharing the different vacations. But overall the story just didn’t grab my attention the way I was hoping it would.

took a lot longer than I thought made sense for them to get together

Very predictable plot! However, it is a cute heartfelt read! The movie was also true to the book.

Took me time to get into it but I liked the ending and the sarcasm of the characters. Movie is absolutely terrible.
