This is a series of 10 stories about a little boy who traveling in a magic soap bubble visits the world of gnomes and has marvelous adventure! "Ned has a pleasant encounter with a gnome, who invites Ned to accompany him on his journey. They travel to Gnome Land inside a giant magic bubble, where they eat magic cake, meet up with a giant, and have an interesting exchange with the Fairy Queen."

Ned, who likes to read about gnomes and fairies, is visited by the gnome king who takes him to his kingdom. Ned then has a series of little adventures. Even though I've taken into account this story was first published in 1922, it was a bit disappointing because throughout the story Ned is mostly a by-stander. He doesn't really participate in his adventures or help solve any of the problems he encounters. Still, it was nice little story and a quick read.
