This insightful resource helps explain how your personality affects your spiritual life. Using the widely accepted Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator® assessment, author Reginald Johnson analyzes the various personality types with actual case studies from Scripture. He offers biblically based guidelines to manage personality vulnerabilities and affirm personality strengths, and demonstrates why some devotional disciplines and patterns may be more helpful than others. This book helps you recognize your unique gifts and provides methods to cultivate them, all with the goal of spiritual growth.
Christian spiritual formation + Meyer's Briggs Type Indicator (personality typing) = brilliance! Finally, a book that discusses the strengths/weaknesses of each MBTI, personality type, from a Christian perspective. The book begins with explanations of each letter, i.e., thinking vs. feeling, and how to distinguish between the types. Provides an excellent argument for the inborn nature of a person's personality. There are chapters for each MBTI, and I found the section on my type very useful. It brought enlightenment and understanding to my spiritual walk, as well as challenged me in the areas of weakness pertaining to my MBTI. Great book for Christian psychologists or psychology enthusiasts.
