I had to read this book for my Southern Lit class. Though I enjoyed most of it, I'm really glad to be finished with it. Unfortunately, that means that I have to move on to yet another Southern Lit book. And its only slightly shorter than this one.

IF you can find this book, and IF you're a big Southern history nerd, and I mean you really like the intricacies of the Old South (good and bad) you'll love it.

first plantation novel I’ve ever read, not what I was expecting. Very mid, but somewhat enjoyable.
