About the author

Award-winning writer Ioana Visan has always dreamed about reaching the stars, but since she can’t, she writes about it.

After fighting the apocalypse aftermath in “Human Instincts”, she played with shapeshifters in “Blue Moon Café Series: Where Shifters Meet for Drinks”, she dealt with vampires in “The Impaler Legacy” series, and then she designed prosthetics in “Broken People” before tackling longer works like a fantasy trilogy and a science fiction series.

Aside from publishing short stories in various Romanian magazines and anthologies, she published a Romanian short story collection “Efectul de nautil” and the Romanian edition of “Human Instincts”.

She received the Encouragement Award from The European Science Fiction Society at Eurocon 2013.

I'm a little puzzled, as this short story sort of implies a sequel, but two years already passed and there isn't any new story.. oh, well.

Liana and Jesse enjoy a bit of vacation time in Marrakesh and promptly end up stalking Max across the city. A cute little extra to finish off the series.

What does Max do when he is not working with Liana to keep vampires safe? He follows a lovely lady and has dinner with her. This takes the characters of The Impaler series and gives us a light-hearted look at the three main characters when they are not working. I liked the humor of this story and it fit the characters. A fun read!

Great Addition to the storyline, A great night on the town while everyone recoups from the battle that took place. And some messing with Max to lighten things up. Can't wait to see where the story goes with Max's "Lady Friend vampire"
