My dad was a frogman in the Navy in WW2 so this book had a special appeal for me. Unfortunately my dad died when I was young so I never got to hear any of his war stories, so this book helped me hear about some of the expectations and stories of this branch of service. I am very glad I read this book and I would highly recommend it to others. It amazes me how much faith and strength some humans possess.

4* I was grabbed at the start and held right through to the end. I have been blessed because none of my family had to fight in wars. I can't even imagine ...
The writing and narration is solid and the story moves right along. It sure showed me some of what goes on and what various people on both sides of the globe experience in such complex situations. Moving and thought-provoking. Good one.
