Love and Sacrifice was another great read from Chelsea Ballinger. And like book one, our main characters are faced with forbidden love.
The story:
What would you do if the person you fell in love with is the daughter of the man you were told to kill? Not to mention, you were honor bound to take out the designated person’s entire family as well?
Well, this proves to be the case for 20-year old Tommy Dumas:
A man with a gritty and jaded past and who takes up refuge under the sworn enemy of the Pierce family: Mickey Valentine (from the notorious Valentine Organization). Under Mickey’s wing, Tommy is trained to be an obedient and efficient killer and guises himself as a server at Ella Pierce’s graduation party, only he didn’t expect to gain a conscious and lose his heart in the process…
So Ella:
Ella, is the daughter of Roman Pierce and sister to Donovan. She is straight up, in your face, and a no- nonsense type of spitfire.
Having recently graduated from high school, the sky is the limit for Ella and all signs of danger look to be a thing of the past. Or so Ella (and her family) think.
But when the mysterious Tommy Dumas steps into the picture: she finds herself falling head over heels for him, the type of heart quenching love that she's only seen shared between her parents and Donovan x Claudia; while not knowing of the true danger and deadly secret that he’s withholding from her.
What will the future hold for Tommy and Ella? Is their love meant to be? And with secrets, betrayals, and revelations unveiling themselves, will it end in blood and ruin?
Read and you will find out!
#Over all, a great installment to the Pierce Family Trilogy!! I will (sadly and reluctantly) comment though that there were still some editing issues, BUT, story and content wise I enjoyed it a lot. I appreciated that the author does not give a fairy tale type of ending but keeps things reasonable and ethical. I mean, with that much dirt against you, it wouldn’t make sense to get off without a scratch. So hallelujah for that!
I definitely can’t wait for the third and final installment where we see Donovan and Claudia's ++ Tommy and Ella’s story line's now merging for the last hurrah!! What will it entail? Marriage? Babies? And will Tommy and his big brother Joey have more of a foreclosure and show actual bonding between the two of them? GAH, I can’t wait!!

Tommy and Ella.
I read 'Roman' and just loved it I then read 'Love and Hate' which was Donovan and Claudia's tale, a modern Romeo and Juliet and loved that as well but I'll admit I was a little apprehensive about this book, partly because I've read three books by this author and they've all been 5 star and the chances of that continuing can't be that good, or so it's gone in the past also I wasn't sure how I really felt about Ella and I didn't want to be disappointed, crazy I know but I didn't need to worry this book was just as good as the others. I love the characters and their relationships, we not only get Ella and Tommy but loads of Donovan, Claudia, Roman and Vera as well and I absolutely loved Tommy, with everything he'd been through it was amazing he was still capable of feelings and compassion.
The synopsis gives you everything you need I'll just say I loved this book and I'm now just waiting for the next one 'Love and Redemption' which I believe should be out in December and having just read the blurb on that I can't wait.

Chelsea Ballinger tells enough of the key points to fill the reader in or remind the reader about Love and Hate's epic love story (Romeo and Juliet style). Love and Sacrifice is a different type of love story.
Ella Pierce is the attractive daughter of Roman Pierce, a mob boss who has moved his family from the city and gone legit. Ella has just graduated high school when the story begins. She is tough, sassy and has no problem speaking her mind. Even though she may lack tact, people always know exactly where they stand with her. Ella is in awe of the deep love shared between her parents and between her brother, Donovan, and his girlfriend, Claudia. She doesn't think she can ever really have that type of unconditional love. She's not sure if she could ever surrender her heart.
Enter sexy, dark headed, 20 year old Tommy Dumas. He's has had a rough life, to put it mildly. Mickey Valentine, head of the Valentine mob family, has taken Tommy in, made him family and served as his father figure. Tommy is completely loyal to Mickey. Loves sacrifice
Loved reading this novella to Absolute love!
Finally got to see what truly happened between Aaron and Susan Phoebe's parents
and the true love that they had which was tested in the hardest way. Erin you knocked this novella out the park and gave us so much description and missing bits of the puzzle that I had been searching for. It great to read a book about true love conquering all even with the sad events

Sacrifice is the word. This is an excellent tale and I'm holding my breath waiting for more of Tommy and Ella's story.
