For the last several years, Elmorhirian has watched as his sister and closest friends all marry and settle down. Now, he just has to figure out how to navigate the confusing, sometimes exasperating, captivation of his own heart.
Molly Evangeline has been using her active imagination to create stories since she was eight years old, encouraged by her mom's own love for writing. For years she wrote as a pastime until age fifteen when she began writing her first historical Christian novel, The Pirate Daughter's Promise, book one of her Pirates & Faith series. Three years later, it became the first of her books to be published.
Molly credits her success to God and her mom's teaching, guidance, and decision to homeschool her from kindergarten through high school. Since graduating she has actively pursued her independent writing career while living with her family in Wisconsin.
This short story was totally worth it to get a final glimpse of my favorite characters one last time, especially the elf Elmorhirian. I couldn’t stop laughing the entire way through this story, and I read it twice in as many days because I loved it so much.
This was a cute conclusion to the series. It’s not necessary to read to wrap up everything, but it was nice seeing where the characters ended up several years after the ending of Trust. So if you like the series I’d highly recommend it.
I don't care if this book is short! I love it!!!!!!!!!!! It is a very awesome story. Definitely worth reading. So you better read it, BUT.....make sure you read the other books first, Truth, Courage and Trust, they also are very amazing. So be sure to read theses wonderful books and have a good time doing so. I loved every bit of this book. It is very short but very awesome.
This was a really cute short story. I can't say I enjoyed it as much as the other books, but it was nice to see where all the characters were a little later on.
I loved this story! I hated leaving the characters from the Makilien Trilogy at the end of Trust, so it was really nice to revisit them and see what has happened since then. Several of the main characters are featured in the story, and for pretty much all of them it mentions who they married and how many kids they have. Elmorhirian is my favorite elf, so I liked reading more about him, and there was plenty of Leiya as well. The story is sweet, and I only wish there were a bunch of Makilien short stories instead of just one.
Definitely recommended for fans of the Makilien Trilogy.
An entirely adorable, quick story about Elmorhirian’s love life. :) I kind of saw this coming in Trust, but I wasn’t sure. Captivated also provided little tidbits of what’s been happening since Trust, as it’s been a few years. I’m delighted with the outcomes! I would love another short story like this of Makilien and her friends…!
But if not, I guess my excitement for a whole new fantasy world in the coming book Resistance by Jaye L. Knight (Molly Evangeline under a different pen name), will probably be sufficient. :)
This book was a sweet book. It wrapped up the series and gave a epilogue to the series. It has a very sweet romance that I saw coming in the previous books, as well as a lot of the humor that comes with Elmorhirian and Elandir. The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it is really good but really short, when it could have easily been a really good whole book.
The end of this story had me grinning so wide my teeth almost fell out. It was very fun and sweet and made me happy all over. A big must read for anyone who has read the Makilien Trilogy.
I just read this short story again for the 2nd time, and enjoyed it! It is so fun to go back and see where all the beloved characters have gone after the series ended. :)
