Just ok for me. The jealousy thing is not my favorite. I might consider reading the next volume whenever it comes out but...I also might just leave it here with the series being kind of forgettable.

Damn, ok I was right. It's staying as a 2. The ending REALLY caught me off guard and all of Keiya's behavior toward Isaku is triggering as hell. It's too much to just ignore for the sake of the plot or the wholesome moments. The fact that he can proudly call himself her mom, dad, brother, AND LOVER is insane. And he's FULLY aware of her age and still wants to be intimate with her and push all of her boundaries. He's such a whiney jealous man child. Aside from how uncomfortable their relationship/dynamic makes me, at least there are some characters that have some decency and common sense. I actually liked Kajika (at least he knows to never get involved with an underage girl). The artwork will always be what I like the most of the manga series, but everything else? Garbage.

I'll read volume 10 when it comes out. Only cause I hate not finishing things, but I'm pretty sure my rating for it will be a 2 as well lol

This manga has been phenomenal! Hatsu-san's storytelling and animation are too notch. However, looking at the anime, Keiya looks much older and less attractive. They did not do Hatsu's work justice. Though, I did see a live action is in the works. So here is hoping they do a better job with that. Either way, can barely wait for more volumes to come out!!

Il fattore "nemico che si finge nuovo studente" è un pó ripetitivo, ma funziona comunque e abbiamo potuto vedere una Isaku con uno stile più maturo, quindi ben venga.
Inoltre abbiamo un Keya che preso dalla gelosia si fa trascinare dal desiderio di possesso. Questo porta a mostrarci delle tavole davvero scottanti!
È ingiusto ora dover aspettare chissà quanto per il prossimo volume!

I am done with this series. Once again Isaku is treated as a pawn, this time in Kajika's conflict with Keiya, and Keiya manages to treat Isaku badly in every scene where they kiss by pushing boundaries and paying attention only to what he wants. As far as I'm concerned this series ended at volume 6 with their first kiss.

I think Kajika's presence in this volume adds a new dimension to the manga's plot. This tough guy who has his eye on Keiya turns out to be quite nice to Isaku. The final chapter of this volume is quite surprising, isn't it?

In questo nono volume Kajika prende piede nelle vite di Isaku e Keiya, cominciando il liceo nella loro stessa classe con l’obiettivo segreto di diventare amico di Keiya in modo da poterlo convincere a far parte di quelli che sono i piani del suo boss. Keiya ha già intuito il piano di Kajika, ma non sa ancora che quest’ultimo ha coinvolto nel suo piano Isaku, ricattandola e minacciandola di svelare il suo segreto a tutta la scuola. Isaku è quindi costretta a passare del tempo con Kajika in modo da poter scoprire più cose possibili su di lui per aiutarlo nella sua impresa “amici per la pelle” con Keiya. La gelosia non è di sicuro un tratto splendido del carattere di Keiya, ma fermarla sembra alquanto impossibile, anche per Isaku. Chissà se riuscirà a limitarne i danni 🧐

Lei e il suo cane da guardia è un manga che mi ha conquistata dal primo capitolo. Non riuscivo a smettere di leggere: tutto, dai personaggi alla loro dinamica, è adorabile e super coinvolgente!
La protagonista, Isaku, è dolce e determinata e il suo rapporto con Keiya, il suo “cane da guardia”, è semplicemente meraviglioso. La chimica tra i due è ciò che amo maggiormente: tensione, complicità, momenti dolci e romantici, tutto reso con delicatezza e cura. Ho adorato la rappresentazione teatrale di Romeo e Giulietta e, senza dubbio, ciò che rende questo manga così bello è l'attenzione che Keiya dona costantemente e esclusivamente ad Isaku: Keiya è gelosissimo e possessivo nel modo giusto, e adoro come la protegge e interagisce con lei con dolcezza e premura. Niente è più importante di lei ai suoi occhi.
L’age gap tra i protagonisti è un filino discutibile, ma onestamente… è un manga. Leggo tante recensioni critiche sull'argomento (in generale sia per i libri che per i manga) ed è davvero semplice: leggete la trama, informatevi sui triggers, se non fa per voi andate avanti. Non vale davvero la pena creare un polverone sul nulla e soffermarcisi così tanto. La storia riesce a essere emozionante, divertente e tenera allo stesso tempo e non stiamo certo parlando di due bambini!
Detto questo, il nonno di Isaku (con il suoi gattoni) è assolutamente iconico: capo del clan yakuza, è presente nei momenti giusti, aggiunge leggerezza alla storia e la rende molto più divertente!
L’arte è pulita, espressiva e cattura perfettamente le emozioni dei personaggi: dai gesti teneri alle scene romantiche ogni personaggio ha la sua funzione e contribuisce alla trama senza mai essere superfluo. Ma poi, dobbiamo parlare di quanto siano belle le copertine? E' la prima cosa che ha colto la mia attenzione in libreria!
Non vedo l’ora che l’autrice continui la serie!
