A phenomenal paranormal romance that’s heartrending and wonderfully original!
Full of such premise and inspired concepts, Forbidden Bond is a paranormal romance with a difference…something that stands-out within a very popular genre. As a fan of Rachel Vincent, Charlaine Harris and other authors of paranormal fiction I was really excited upon encountering a new Shapeshifter story (Wolves). The character-driven narrative is entertaining and interesting, keeping you glued to the pages and lost within the dazzling romance and thrilling action. Olivia and Eion’s relationship was so cute and they melted my heart! Containing sizzling, seductive erotic scenes this book was literally smouldering in places. I would recommend it to all who enjoy reading this genre, as something refreshingly new and remarkable.
Forbidden Bond{Short synopsis} ~

Eion is a wolf shifter and rising alpha, sent to high school to learn about Humans where he met and bonded with Olivia. Pack Law dictates that no human and wolf shifter can mate and so Eion is left with no choice but to abandon Olivia and leave. These forbidden star-crossed lovers still yearn for one another, despite their separation and Olivia moving forward in her life with a new guy. But forgetting a childhood crush is not that easy…
Jessica Lee’s novel is an exquisite mix of magical fantasy and otherworldly vision, fused together within a heated and intensely passionate characterization. I connected to the characters in such a profoundly personal way that I read the entire book in a single sitting; desperate to finish the entire story with excited anticipation! I would like to thank the author so much for providing me with an e-copy of Forbidden Bond to read and give an honest review on, as it was an impressive novel of such scope. I simply LOVED this amazing book with it’s fantastic characters {both main and lesser ones}, and in-depth details regarding the Wolf Pack. I am a new No. 1 fan of Jessica Lee and I cannot wait to add more of her books to my wish list in a hurry.
This fascinating paranormal romance captures the heart as well as the imagination.
Wolf shifter Eion Mandrake, destined to be Alpha, had attended school in Little Crow Pass to learn all could about human life. But something unexpected occurred and he bonded with Olivia Wilson when he saved her from drowning since a shifter and human mating is forbidden he had to leave Little Crow. Now twelve years later, he’s returned to sell his land and get out of town as quickly as possible. But he runs into Olivia and realizes that the flames still burn hot for both of them and when she needs his help to save her brother’s ranch and their home, he can’t turn her away. But his pack is determined to keep them apart, can he protect Olivia and stay loyal to his pack or will he half to sacrifice one for the other.
This fast paced plot captures the reader’s imagination as well as their hearts. The author paints very vivid images with well written words that bring the story to life and keep the reader engaged to the very end. The characters are strong, compelling and charismatic and easily related to making it easy for the reader to get caught up in the story.
The chemistry between Olivia and Eion explodes off the pages with lots of passion and the sex scenes are hot and steamy. The relationship slowly builds throughout the story since Eion has to accept that fate has chosen his mate, but he also has to rebuild her trust in him. The author describes the emotions, personalities and passions of the characters with vibrant detail that reaches out and grabs the reader’s attention and ensuring that they have to know how this captivating couple’s romance comes together.
I was totally engrossed in the riveting werewolf tale from beginning to end and couldn’t put it down until I had read the very last word. I sure hope that there will be more books in this series as I would love to read about Eion’s brother and Olivia’s brother.
What’s a guy to do? Eion Mandrake’s life path was chosen the day he was born. First born of the Alpha, he was always destined to follow in his father’s footsteps. He’d been groomed his whole life for the position. Only problem, the time he’d spent at his godparent’s ranch, the best times of his life. Twelve years later, he’s still drawn back to the ranch his godparents gifted him. With the best of intentions, he’s going to sell the ranch and get as far away from what keeps calling his heart, Olivia Wilson. Jessica Lee weaves another paranormal romance that pulls you into the characters lives and makes you want Hallmark to start making movies in this genre. Olivia and Eion are destined to be together, bonded when Eion saves her life at the tender age of fourteen. Eion knows that the laws of his pack forbid him to be with a human. His only course of action is to get away from Olivia before things get too entangled. Only thing, she’s just as bonded to him as he is to her. This mesmerizing story is too good to put down. From chapter to chapter, I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. Jessica’s talent to develop characters that you care about and draw you into their lives shines in this book. With skill and grace, her words paint the pictures that come to life before your eyes as you read. Forbidden Bond, is a great addition to Ms. Lee’s repertoire of paranormal romances.
A Story that captures that Heart as Destiny Rules!
Destiny always rules when love is involved and in this cute story, the undeniable love between Olivia and Eion was such a beautiful allure that it captured my heart as I read the Author’s smooth visualizing words. Olivia and Eion’s unconditional love was so inspiring and refreshing in this wolf-shifter story.
The author did an amazing job building the characters. Eion has got to be the most honorable and respectable man (wolf-shifter) ever. He knew that his world was totally different than that of the human world and he went to lengths trying to protect and save his families wolf-shifter legacy of being exposed to the humans. He spent 12 years away from his imprinted mate in order to protect them.
Olivia is such a sweetheart. She is so strong willed and intelligent but she has put up a wall around her heart and has a hard time letting herself feel and love as she finds she is always measuring everyone up to her school crush “ Eion”- the one who fills her every dream and thought.
No matter how hard Eion and Olivia go on with their lives there are other factors such as Eion’s shifter family (his father Cyrus) pulling and demanding him away from Olivia because she is human. Then there is Taylor (any woman’s wildest dreams) who is wanting that happy ever after and proposes marriage. I so wanted Olivia to just drop Taylor, but Olivia didn’t have the heart to hurt him knowing she couldn’t give him what he wanted and instead tried to make him see that they were better just being best friends instead because down deep inside Olivia knew that regardless of the security he could give, her heart belonged to Eion.
The story had many moments of revengeful strikes from Eion’s wolf-shifter clan and Olivia faced many heartaches dealing with her brother and their finances but regardless of all the drama surrounding these two, destiny’s faith of a true mate is unstoppable and their love for each other only grew stronger until they become inseparable. Their erotic scenes were built up all throughout the story and sizzled up at the mate bonding. Heat Level: 3 FLAMES
This was such an enjoyable and heartwarming story. Even the secondary characters intrigued me and I would love to see the author write about Olivia’s brother Chris whom just so happens to be a wounded warrior in healing.

Eion decides to stay away from his friends finish school an get back to Streaming Eagle.
Twelve years later Eion is back in Little Crow Pass on business. In six months he turns thirty and will become Alpha of his pack. He plans to get in and right back out without Kris or Olivia seeing him. That didn't work out he runs into Olivia first and finds there bond is still strong. Finding out Olivia plans to marry Taylor upsets him a lot. Finding out that they are going to lose their ranch and home he goes to see Kris. Kris is just back from war and wounded so he is unable to work the ranch. He is shocked to see Eion, then pissed off. Eion wants to help them save the ranch before leaving again.

Does Kris and Eion find a way back to friendship? Who is killing the cattle on Kris and Olivia's ranch? You will be unable to stop reading this wonderful book.
I’ll admit I almost didn’t finish this book but boy am I glad I did. I kept wanting Eion to man up and claim what was his. I wanted Olivia to dump Taylor. The chemistry between Eion & Olivia was there from the start and I was impatient to get to it. When they finally did it was worth the wait. This sexy shifter book will force you to keep turning pages until the very end and then you will sit there and say damn what a ride. I received a copy of this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.
Unlike most fated-to-be-mated stories, Forbidden Bond finds these two doing their best to distance themselves from each other and the unexpected bond that forms while they are teens.
Shortly before Eion is due to graduate from high school, an accident leads him to get closer to his best friend's little sister, Olivia. Closer than he'd ever allowed himself in the past despite his attraction to her. For one, she's his best friend's little sister. Second, she's human and he's a wolf shifter set to assume his role as alpha. Last and most importantly, human-shifter relationships are forbidden. So, he resists his and his wolf's urges and returns to his pack in hopes that the bond will diminish over time and distance.
Flash forward twelve years, he's returned to Little Crow Pass, Wyoming to sell his farm neighboring Olivia and BF, Kris' farm. His plan is to quickly take care of business and head back to the pack. Plans change when he learns his friends' farm is in financial trouble and his bond with Olivia is stronger than ever.
There were many things about Forbidden Bond that were both positives and negatives for me.
Despite these issues, I really enjoyed the author's writing style, the depth of the story and the characters/world she created. Too bad it's not a series; I think there's a lot left to tell in this story.

This was kind of a crap shoot. I'd never read anything by this author, but bought it on sale for $.99 because it looked interesting.
It was enjoyable. Eion is the hero. He's a wolf shifter and soon to be alpha of his pack. Olivia is the heroine. She's human and she's a large animal vet. Go back 12 years and Eion and Olivia meet when they're teenagers. Eion is staying with his aunt and uncle to experience life outside the pack. Eion is best friends with Olivia's brother, Kris. The last summer Eion is there, he accidentally bonds with Olivia. Bonding/mating with a human is forbidden by Eion's pack. He only has weeks before he goes back to his pack, so he cuts ties with Olivia and Kris.
Fast forward 12 years and Eion is back in town to sell the land his aunt and uncle gifted to him. He ends up making contact with Olivia and Kris. The story goes from there.
I liked Eion. He knew that he'd bonded with Olivia and knew that it was forbidden and he thought she wouldn't feel the bond because she's human, so he left with the idea that she could continue on and have a "normal" life. I was pretty ambivalent about Olivia. She did feel the bond, but didn't know what it was. She just knew that no other male ever felt "right" and that the feelings she had for Eion after 12 years were not normal. But, she dated Taylor, her veterinary business partner and male best friend from college. Taylor really loved Olivia and went so far as to propose to her. She really led him on, knowing that she didn't enjoy any sort of physical intimacy with him, because she wanted "normal" and "steady", etc.
The first half of the book was drawn out with all the conflicted feelings. The next quarter was Eion and Olivia getting closer and the third quarter was a very quick resolution. I felt like there was an imbalance there. But, it was a decent book - writing style was good and not many editing errors.
I looked at the title of this book and knew I had to read it. It's a shifter book and it has a forbidden love that shouldn't have ever started. Sometimes fate has different plans for you that no one can change. Not even for a pack law. This was a really great read and the author did a great job with the characters. They were so easy to love.
Eion Mandrake was sent to Little Crow Pass in Wyoming to attend school and to learn all he can about humans. He wasn't sent to start a bond with a human. That's going against pack law.It seems that he is always getting her out of trouble so you know she's a handful. He knows that he needs to stay away from her and get back to his pack. Since Eion is the rising alpha the rules apply to him even more.
Olivia Wilson has decided to let Eion go and start over with someone new. She never expected to see him twelve years later. Guess what? She needs Eion's help again. Seems like he is the one to always take care of her. She knows there is a connection with Eion but knows he left years ago and she has to tell herself that she needs a man that will stick around.
This was the first book that I had read from this author and I loved it. I just love her descriptions and all the work she put into writing this story. If you want to know what happens at the end you should really check this book out. Hopefully you will fall in love with this book like I did.

I really, really liked this book. It’s a great story about the heart wanting what it wants, Pack Law be damned. The book is well written with relatable characters and good dialog.
I have to admit the only character I really didn’t like was her new man, Taylor. I felt like he was too pushy and most of the time I wanted to slap him upside his head. I’m not sure if the author wrote him like that on purpose but I really just didn’t like him.
This story, in my opinion, has a moral at the end and that is: Always following your heart may not be the easiest path, but it is a path that leads to great happiness.

Very romantic and had a great story line. I was captured from page one. It was really a good book & I'm looking forward to book-2. There were a couple of moments where I wished they would just be honest with each other but overall, I didn't want to put it down until I finished it.
Forget about the terrible cover, this an entertaining paranormal. What I didn't like is Olivia telling Taylor all about her brother Kris, but since those two have known each other for years, this is only done to inform the reader - bad plotting IMO.
I've been trying to finish this for about two months. I should admit that I kinda skimmed through the last 30%. An okay read that's cliche and pretty cheesy in some spots.
