It was just meh…. I didn’t expect it to leave on a cliffhanger and I didn’t expect all the randomness in the book. My issue with a lot of novellas is the author tried to give you a full novel in a few pages, instead of just giving you a full novel. It makes the novella a jumbled mess and that’s what happened here. From her mentioning the death of the FMC’s husband, the random customers, the random acts of kindness while the bank system was down… the bank system being down. It all added nothing to the storyline. Just because he was a customer at the bank she worked at, didn’t need to be added for him to take her. The author could have easily just said she was getting her life back together after her husband died, mentioned her job title , and then set the scene for the kidnapping and the follow up. She gave more pages to the randomness than the “juicy” part. I’m not trying to be mean, just speaking my peace. I won’t be reading or recommending this author.

Just One Date

I like the beginning when she and Cortez shared memories about their wedding day. But the whole suddenly losing her husband to an aneurysm... nope I I'm buying it! Even the brief interactions she had with 911 dispatch and EMTs were not believable! There are a lot of examples like this throughout the entirety of this Novella. This whole story can benefit from a new rewriting and a good editor.

If I could give 0 stars I would

One of the worst books, I’ve read in years. The beginning made no sense. You tried to end it on a cliffhanger, but it just made the story look incomplete. This is very terrible.

Ok read

It was ok for a short story. There were some misspellings that threw me off but I got through it.

Liked!

This was a good short book. Kia di1d not deserve the wrath of Fabien who is a typical scorned psychopath.

Basic

This story was very primitive. Not well written, with a weak plot. I kept waiting for it to GET better
