Multi-Level Murder by T.E. Scott is book 8 in The Wronged Women’s Co-operative series. Bernie’s Mum, Deborah, storms into her daughter’s house wanting help as she says she is being framed for murder. The woman she works for, Holly Moore, has been found dead and Deborah had an argument with her the night before. This is such a great light-hearted series and the characters, all so different, are full of humorous interaction. Bernie, a strong female character, rules the roost and is quite an abrasive person at times. She is also very honest and every now and then we see a softer glimpse of her. Bernie and her Mum don’t get on and have little contact, so this situation causes some difficulties, but also some humour. Mary is softer, a single Mum with 4 children and her partner is Walker, a police officer trying to get into CID. Liz is the financial guru of the team and a real asset. It is fascinating reading how the police and the Co-operative approach the case from different angles and lead to them each uncovering various pieces of information. It is certainly an enjoyable read.

I love the Wronged Women’s Co-operative series . It’s an absolute joy to read them. Bernie , Mary and Liz have to act swiftly when Deborah , Bernie’s mum turns up on her doorstep seeking their assistance to exonerating her from blame when she is being framed for her insufferable boss’s murder…Holly Moore the deceased had been arguing with Deborah the evening before … Walker , Mary’s husband has a different approach to investigate the case but you can always count on the ladies to uncover that which is hidden , even their own secrets…. Brilliantly immersive , perfectly crafted story T E Scott bravo on an highly entertaining episode that’s well written with super characters and excellent descriptors .
I read a forwarded book and I’m leaving my review voluntarily in my own thoughts .

Still going strong

I really enjoyed this book, as I have all the books in this series so far, though I dropped one star as I felt it contained one too many subplots that could have been reduced in number and increased in their contribution to the storyline. But it was a fun and engaging read based on an all-too-real menace in society and I enjoyed following the investigation through to the end. Off to Amazon now, to buy the next in the series.
