Trevor is confident he'll have her name cleared in no time, but once he does, will Emily have to leave the men who've changed her life and stolen her heart, or can she stay their little girl forever?Publisher’s The Girl, the Doctor, and the Texas Ranger is an erotic romance novel that includes spankings, sexual scenes including threesomes, age play, medical play, and more. Well..I have read some really KINKY & OFF THE WALL BOOKS... When you see the authors warning that there is "age Play" you don't expect to see a 20 year old playing with my little ponies, drawing pics for the fridge, having a bedtime of 9:00 & getting put to bed in a diaper and hello kitty pj's. This was just pushing it a bit .. Quite a bit... LOL
I have mixed feelings over this story. Young woman, Emily pulled over by an ex school peer, now police officer, who then abuses his position to pull her over for speeding and commit a serious sexual assault, and I have no doubt he would have raped Emily if she hadn't stopped him as did. It shows how for most of us our deference to police authority opens a door to rotten cops pursuing an agenda of their own and who, like Emily versus the police would be believed unless fortunate. Much I liked, the interaction between Emily, Dr Daniel and Ranger Trevor was lovely...some domestic discipline, med kink, spanking, age play etc...but Emily was fleeing sex assault, has a car accident... but within a day or so she is straight into sex play and kinky sexual relationships, first with Dr Daniel, then Trevor, then as a ménage. I think this is where it goes wrong for me. Would a girl fleeing such an assault, who has no one to love or care for her, or believe her, feel happy when her apparent saviours start their domestic discipline regime, with panties off, or naked, for punishments so soon, or would she feel used and abused by them. Would she be so happy to participate in such sexual play when she has had no support or therapy over prior said assault that traumatised her so. So this makes me cautious and drop a star. Any other premise that brings her to the men and the situation she finds herself, such as wrongful accusation of illegal deed would be more acceptable than the sexually assaulted and straight into sexual relationship with two brothers situation we have here. Three stars from me.
The publisher mentions age play among other codes when describing this book. Age play is not my thing, but I can accept a scene when we are talking about someone fulfilling a fantasy.
However, the relationship in this book was solely based in age play and spankings. Two thirty something men find a 20 year old girl with abandonment problems and create a relationship where she is treated as a kid (not even a teenager, a young kid who is dressed-undressed, bathed, read stories like Cinderella...by her "daddy" and " uncle"). Of course, that doesn't stop them for having sex (anal, threesome...) with the same girl who they treat like a kid.
The whole thing just sounded wrong and disturbing. Left a bad taste in my mouth.
It started out fine the premise was good. Just a young girl getting rescued by two older men then all of the sudden they were giving her curfew and she was wearing a diaper. I was out after that.
Possibly some spoilers, but really, you know what is going to happen once you read the synopsis, so nothing really revealed. Okay...I approached this book knowing that there would be some elements I didn't like, judging by what else this author has written...In the beginning, you have a heroine who is naive, makes stupid choices, and recognizes that about herself, and knows she needs to grow and make better choices in the future. So far, I liked it. Characters can be stupid at parts, that is fine by me; it makes characters likable, sometimes. She runs, and I can see why she would, and then meets the heroes. All is fine. I liked that Daniel was angry at first, thinking she was a drunk driver, and I appreciated how that transpired. When the spanking thing gets introduced, I was a little unsure about it, but the author had hinted at it, and Danny and Trevor seem to give her time to acclimate to the idea, and once she shows interest, they proceed. Out of my comfort zone, but ultimately, not bad, though I skipped over the spanking scenes after a while. But while their love is certainly explained, and I can see why Emily falls in love, for crying out loud, can it be explained more often that she feels neglected by her mother? I don't think so! Talk about being hit in the head repeatedly with a fact until it is gushing out your nose! Then...something happened. Where earlier their treatment of Emily as their child seemed mild, really just broaching on being overprotective, and maybe just a kinky part of their affair, it gets to the point where she is literally acting like a child. I am talking dressing like a child, playing with toy ponies, and drawing with crayons. And then...the diaper. Yes. The heroine wears a diaper. And where the author introduced interesting conflict in the beginning? Nothing really comes of it. We don't see a confrontation, it just gets dealt with. No, just...no. I am going to pretend the book ended with the car accident. She dies. The end. Ugh, I have the creeps after reading this story.
As others have mentioned, this book was just weird and frankly, disturbing. Ostensibly, this is a BDSM book, although the word/term BDSM was never uttered in the story. There were no safe words, explanations about the lifestyle, etc. which leads me to believe the author wasn't writing BDSM book at all, just a strange baby fetish book. I mean, it's one thing to act out a "scene" or play kinky games on occasion. There were no scenes here. Just 24/7 spanking, 9pm curfews, coloring with crayons etc, etc. It was gross. The author justified it in the story by explaining that Emily never really had a childhood b/c she was poor and abandoned by her mom, so she never received proper love and caring. OK, but that doesn't mean you LITERALLY treat a 20yr old like a baby, asking if she has to use the "potty" and having her draw pictures with crayons for goodness sakes.
The main offender was Daniel, the older brother and Doctor. I don't think the author realized how skeevy and pedophilish it came off to have a doctor of all people treat Emily as if she were a 5 yr old. Not that Daniel was a pediatrician or anything but.... ugh, scary. Trevor, the Ranger seemed more normal, although he's the one who took her to the "potty". Aside from that incident though he seemed to go with the flow. he Emily was actually a feisty character and she was pretty interesting until she went along with the weird baby stuff.
I have never read this author before. I don't know if this is her usual style or subject matter. I'm all for hot and even kinky reads, but this was was neither. It was just weird.
I am quite amazed I finished this...I am very very picky about my kink reads and I am quite fond of the whole caregiver/little thing but this story isn't one bit safe, sane or consensual.
It felt like they pretty much took advantage of a lost, confused little girl who is also desperately looking for love. No safe word, no explanations. Just them pushing her limits. Treating her like a baby and giving loads of spanking. Not one guideline of bdsm followed. So I shall assume the author wasn't planning on writing one but a fetish story.
So if You're looking for a fun kink read, then Maybe this might do for you. But if you are looking for a proper bdsm read, you might not like this as much. The characters felt unreal at certain points and I couldn't connect or relate to them at all. Development was fairly lacking and the romance felt stiff on a whole. Still amazed that I finished the book...
Loved this story! It was my first AP, so I was a little nervous about mixing sex and the "little" dynamic. But actually, it was very well done, and I liked it. A lot!
With this being my first AP, it also helped that Emily did not ever call Daniel, "Daddy". That helped me enjoy the sex scenes more without me having to worry about and incestuous feeling.
The sex scenes ranged from sweet / romantic to scorching hot! They also included a few menage's, between Emily, Daniel and Trevor, which were well done and sexy.
I really liked how these guys took such good care of her. Great story!
I just couldn't get into it. The 'spanking' was just cover for two older men who enjoyed an got off on beating a younger girl. The writer tires to cover this off as "showing love an trust" but it goes horribly wrong as Emily is viewed more as a little girl/their daughter who is dressed, bathed an even taken to the toilet about cleaned up by these men who then have sex with their daughter. wasn't how the intro into the book read as I said not my thing
3.5 - 4 stars. This book had a little of everything in it. Mostly DD, but some BDSM, age-play, medical play and a plot thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed this book even though there were a couple of skeevy spots for me. I think it would have been better if the author had focused in on a couple of lifestyles rather than throw in everything. I will watch & read this author again.
3 1/2 STARS This book was short but I kinda struggled to get through it because it was pretty boring. I'm sure that sounds crazy with a stranded woman on the run, a hot ass doctor and his Texas Ranger brother but it just didn't do it for me. I would've really liked it if they weren't brothers but instead "friends with benefits" and she stumbled onto their land, that would've been AMAZING.
Who wants to be treated like a little girl? And wants to be spanked so hard?? I did not care for this story. I taught the way these men treated this girl was so stupid!!
I read some other reviews and was shocked at all the 1☆ reviews because people don't like age play books. It's clearly stated in the description that this is age play, so if you don't like that genre do not read it!
That being said, I enjoyed this book. Emily really needed someone to be on her side and stand up for her. Daniel and Trevor were amazing and so loving. They made a sweet little family as neither Daniel or Trevor had the time individually to devote to a relationship but the two together were perfect for Emily. I loved the HEA and recommend this book to anyone into age play.
Very powerful story of a young lady who has seen some of the worst. She finds herself in a safe place full of love for the first time in her life. Daniel takes the lead but Trevor is right there to help out. With their helps she is set free from her past in all kinds of different ways.
Meh... I expected the story to be a lot hotter. I was sorely disappointed. I thought there were going to be some more sexual elemens, but all there was to it were a few spankings. That's it. Well, I don't think this story is worth wasting your time on if you have something better to read.
At the heart I think this is a good storyline but executed somewhat poorly. I think some of Emily's reactions were just flat unbelievable and made her seem weak. Good scenes, with a bit of taboo which were written well.
The initial story was good and the sex scenes throughout the book were hot. However the heroine was too naive to make their dynamic feel consensual. Instead of naughty, this story felt wrong.
I like a little kink and naughty. Knowing your desires being ok with them is great. This author delivered it very tastefully without making it degrading.
Sue Lyndon's The Girl, the Doctor and the Texas Ranger was an enjoyable read. In it we meet the female lead character, Emily Hall, a shy 20 year old. She was forced to grow up and fend for herself at a far to early stage in life. As such she never really experienced love, the sense of being cared for or the feeling of belonging. Her life was harsh and oven cruel. Nevertheless, she capable of taking care of herself, but, her emotional level often feels overwhelming. In her world people treat her poorly. As a juvenile her search for belonging led her to a gang of juveniles and subsequently she found herself in trouble with the law. The male leads are two brothers--Daniel and Trevor Anderson. Their lives are polar opposite of Emily's. They grew up in a functional family with lots of nurturing love. They are successful as adults. Daniel is a doctor and Trevor is a Texas Ranger. Destiny brings these three together when Emily crashes into a tree on their property. Daniel is the one who finds her and is instantly attracted to her. Trevor, when he sees her, also experiences an instant connection. Seeing her vulnerability and emotional unrest causes these dominant alpha men to feel protective of her. Can they help her? Will they help her vanquish her demon? Will they all find happiness? To discover the answers to these questions, you have to read the book.
Ms. Lyndon penned a charming age play romance story. Her characters are complex and multi-layered. I appreciated the way she added a bit of suspense with the antagonist, Officer George Patrick. Through the inclusion of his backstory, that of being a spoiled bully, his actions appropriately flowed into the story. It is satisfying to discover that justice does prevail. Additionally, Ms. Lyndon's skill with literary devices such as dialog, point of view, and descriptive language positively contributed to the flow and pacing of her plot. All of these elements contribute to making this story credible. If you enjoy HEA then you should get this book. Happy Reading!
A nice enough story with plenty of kinky goodness. In fact the kinky goodness overtook the story. The bad guy got arrested and that really was good enough. Everyone, well except the bad guys, were happy leaving nothing but pleasant dreams.
Majorly HOT and Sensual with lots of charged emotions and intriguing writing. If you're interested in some amazing characters that will draw you into the story and make you laugh and cry then you'll want to grab this book.
This is a beautiful love story with lots of amazing chemistry between the characters. Developing trust between the characters is heartwarming and beautiful. Add in some hot sexy parts makes this a book that you will want to read!!
