I really enjoyed this series, these characters and the highs and lows they all went through trying to get the vaccine to where it was needed.

The losses along the way
Not just having to fight off zombies but other humans made this a thrilling series.

I can’t seem to get enough of this genre just like my trash tv addiction is a rabbit hole I fall down frequently and lose hours lol

I loved the group of survivors the trials they faced, the wanting to live a better life on beaver island they found refuge on in the first book. And the group they call family, though the losses have impacted the numbers drastically, now there’s only a few left standing.

This ended as though there was more to come. A cliff hanger of sorts. And I hope that’s the case because I could really do with reading more from this group.

Now off I go in search of more zombies to be read 🤣

The first 2 books were pretty good, but the last 2 got a little monotonous. Like why drag the story out for 2 more books just to still leave us hanging? I honestly hope it wasnt to leave an opening for a 5th book since the 3rd & 4th were already a struggle to get through. I understand in a tv series when they just keep having things happen just to have them happen, so they can extend the series, but I really dislike it when authors do it.
Also, this its a small thing, but the author really needs to learn how to use “but” in a sentence. It’s a conjunction, it shows contrast or a preposition that excludes. The author uses it synonymously with “and” for example: “The lights are on, but they’re steady and never flicker…” never flicker as opposed to what? It would have made more sense if she had said “the lights are on but they’re steady and don’t flicker the way generator powered lights do…” or “…but they’re steady and dont flicker like they’re on a generator” It drove me nuts in every single book.

Overall, I’recommend

Okay, so I've finally gotten through this series and while I've absolutely loved parts, there's plenty that fell a little flat for me too.
The ending for this book in particular just didn't satisfy that 'post-apocalyptic' vibe that the rest of the books managed to hold onto.
But in saying that, the series was decent and it wasn't finished on a cliffhanger. At least it didn't feel like one for me, so yeah.
7/10 Recommend.

Good series

I really enjoyed this series! Book 4 really had me on my toes and I couldn't stop reading to find out what was happening next. I really hope there in just one more book so I can find out how all the characters turn out. I don't want to explain what I mean, because I don't want to give out any spoilers.

Tense, plot driven story line

This is the best so far with no major plot issues. The characters are even better developed in this book, while the action continues. The characters still need more development as their loss isn’t eliciting emotions in the reader. The author adds some unique elements to the story with “The Cure”.

I loved it but it felt like it ended abruptly. Which leads me to believe there will be more books. I hope so. I’d like to see them

see them return to the island and the world coming back after the cure… and more explanation on the fast crazed zombies that resulted from the cure.

Good series!

The narrative arc of this series is captivating, with compelling protagonists that truly resonate. The character development and storytelling are so engaging that I'm eagerly anticipating future installments and hoping the creators will continue to expand this rich and immersive world.

this was so hauntingly good

Out of all of these books this one messed me up the most I was sobbing at parts. It also had happy moments and bittersweet moments. I really wish we could have a fifth book with all of the group going back to Beaver island and some more happy moments with our group. Yes I’m sure there would be some bittersweet moments too but that would be okay.

Great Read

Really good story . Following the group as they try to find a safe place . They have been attacked and lost friends . Fought off a group of criminals and survived . It's a fast-paced roller coaster ride . Would definitely recommend this series.

I didn’t want it to end!

I hope for some spin-off to this series. The ones who were cured, do they have special abilities? Gosh it would be so cool. Loved this series!!!

Liked this conclusion to the series, but it needs editing badly, as all the books do!! If they could get a proper edit they would be so much better. I was pulled out of the story a few times when mistakes were made.
