Love Cults and Faith Healers
The study of America's false religious prophets
Promising immortality to the faithful, and offering to cure any known disease, the false prophets of religion have flourished in America from frontier days to the present time.
In this extraordinary book, Arthur Orrmont tells the life stories of eight self-appointed messiahs who rose from tent-show to tabernacle by the shred mixture of salvation and showmanship.
