Our future was as bright, all thanks to the Omega who had been wronged in so many ways.
Meddling, it’s a vice of mine, one I never gave up even with the curse looming over me every step of the way. When someone was in need, I stepped in, forgetting the damage I could cause, and this time, saving Ellie, well, it wasn’t like the others.
I found myself in the grasp of the Primarchy, living with two Alphas and their little sister, thinking ‘here we go again’. I quickly learned how wrong I was, but this was how my life went, rolling from one bit of chaos to the next.
However, with Odie and Cy by my side, showing me everything I had been missing, I fell deeper, finding out I wasn’t who I thought I was. Then, to top it off, to keep this life, the new one I now clung to, I’d have to accept that everything I knew had been a lie.
Will Mine avenge those who she had lost, forging her own path, or will she fall to the pressure of the Primarchy, losing more than she ever thought possible?
The Wronged Omega is an FFF (AAO) Omegaverse standalone with a mute FMC and female Alphas. All CWs can be found at sullynshaw.com.
First off, Mine, let me count the ways that I love this character. She’s sarcastic and tough as nails. Yet even after everything she endured she still remains a bit gooey in the center. I love that she puts even strangers first, something you learn right off the bat as she rescues Ellie.
No good deed goes unpunished. That statement is pretty much Mine’s motto thanks to one of two curses placed on her. The other is the inability to speak. Even though she can’t speak with her tongue, it doesn’t hinder her from laying down the sass with her hands or writing.
This is a very detailed story, at times a bit too detailed but it didn’t really take away from the plot. There were a lot of ins and outs to this story. Puzzle pieces that slowly came together before you saw the whole picture.
There were a lot of characters you both loved and hated or both. I’m looking at you Gerard. Some you couldn’t take at face value and some who wore their heart on their sleeve. None more so than our alphas, Odie & Cy.
I’m not sure how I feel about how their relationship progressed. It was a slow burn that I thoroughly enjoyed but when it came time to get down and dirty it was a bit… fucked up. But I liked that too as much as it made me uncomfortable.
Overall it was great plot, fairly good pacing and fantastic character growth. I highly recommend if you enjoy morally gray sapphic romance.
I should have DNF this book. I tried to give this author another chance with her omegaverse books, because I love them usually. But I guess this author isn’t for me.
Wronged Omega by Sullyn Shaw is a dark omegaverse. Mine is human and is cursed with back luck and is mute. When she notices a girl at her neighbors house in distress, she attempts to save her. However, she ends up being accused of kidnapping and is held captive. As shes held captive, she finds herself becoming friends with Ellie the Omega she rescued, and the 2 female alphas watching them. However, if something can go wrong, it does where Mine is concerned. Can Mine find a place for herself, heal, and keep her new friends safe from her curse, or is it too late. I really loved and hated this story at the same time. The characters in this story are perfect. Mine is just such a survivor she's experienced so much trauma yet somehow keeps moving forward. Cy and Oddie are grumpy alphas. They can be alphah@les, yet there is another side to them. This story has a lot to it. There are mysteries, suspense, action, secrets, and spice. This story is definately dark and you should take care if you're disturbed by certain things like kidnapping, SA(off screen), dubcon, and few other things that I won't say here to spoil the story. There is a lot of trauma in this story but also healing. This story was an emotion Rollercoaster for the character and myself. I found myself with tears a few times as I was wrapped up in the story and invested in the characters! If you enjoy dark omegaverses, this is for you. There are also themes of fated mates, found family, magic, curses, heats, knots, FFF, and spice. Sullyn Shaw has done it again and created an amazing story that drags readers along for a rough ride through a messy relationship where the characters experience trauma, betrayal, redemption, and love, leaving readers emotionally wrung out and exhausted but having no regrets for experiencing it.
Pros: This was a very unique take on the omegaverse where omegas are at the top of the hierarchy and alphas are at the bottom. Interesting lore. Sapphic romance with nary a dude in sight. Love interests are generally very sweet and loving.
Cons: It would have made more sense linguistically to change to roles for each name instead of swapping alpha and omega as-is. This is more than dark romance. I happen to really enjoy dark romance, but for me this read as more trauma porn than anything else. The author seemed to genuinely enjoy causing her characters pain, both emotionally and physically. The noncon/dubcon was very noncon and would definitely be triggering to a lot of people. The smut scenes in general were lacking though. The best part about most dark romance is the utterly sensual and explicit smut scenes, this didn't deliver. The names...I could not get over someone choosing to be called Mine. It made zero sense that any sane person would choose that and was more than a little confusing at times.
We follow Carmine, who has been through hell and back due to a family curse! She isn’t just cursed BUT she is also MUTE!
I absolutely love how Sully made this book so related, and how inclusive she is.
Mine had a WONDERFUL character development as a FMC. She is strong, badass, and definitely sassy 😉.
The plot of the story was phenomenally written along with the spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️.
The other characters were developed well also, and that is why I found this book so hard to put down.
It is definitely in my top 10 omegaverse! 🩷🩵💜
The following quote touched me deeply in my soul since we all go through bad things, and sometimes our family isn’t always the ones we are born into:
“I knew that no matter what came our way, we would figure it out together, me and the family I found, the family I forged in the darkest part of my life.”

Carmine, or Mine, is a Human in a world that contains Alphas, Omegas, Half-Bloods, Witches, and more. Her family was cursed long ago, she is mute. She can make certain sounds but talks with her hands. She is coming home when she sees something from the neighbor’s house…a scared teen who cannot escape! So, she rescues her! That is the beginning of many terrible things to come. She is arrested and charged for kidnapping. The young Omega teen, Ellie tries to come to her defense no one will listen!
They house the two of them with two female Alphas until a decision is rendered as to what will happen. Fated mates will occur, a new dormant species will be uncovered, a conspiracy within the council, more arrests, fighting, and trying to change a system will all occur from there! A new action-packed series that brings you back into the Omegaverse!
It was just soooooo long-winded and on top of that just tragedy after tragedy (even though the MC was really positive considering everything). Like the main character's life was just one big blob of misfortune. I don't understand how anyone can be so unlucky. I mean I do understand: she was literally cursed, but still. And you know, the worst thing is, even her suffering became boring.
When we finally arrived at the first smut scene, I was like AT LAST something that is not boring or depressing, but noooo even that somehow became a trauma. At that point I was like, I cannot handle this anymore.
On the flip side, the writing was pretty good! It had to be when I read pages and pages about absolutely nothing and still stuck through untill chapter 32 I believe? So there is that :)
"A series of unfortunate traumatic events" seems like a more fitting title.
2.5/5 - FFF but lowkey MFM, I want Odie and Cy to be women instead of someone with boobs and G!P. Also, Odie and Cy barely interact with each other ... It'd have been a DNF but it's like I got morbid curiosity and I just have to know what happens with each train wreck. (I rounded it up to 3/5 but as I typed this review, I rounded down to 2/5 cuz I'm annoyed with all the little details and plot holes I remember)
I’ll start off by saying that I really enjoyed this book. Mine’s story had a little bit of everything.
My only issue was with the relationship between mine, odie, and cy. I love the FFF aspect since you don’t see a lot of books like it but the relationship seemed stronger between odie & mine vs mine & cy. Every time I read scenes with all three of them together I felt bad for cy because she seemed more like an extra that was thrown into odie and mine’s relationship. Cy didn’t really have a lot of heart felt moments and there was a lack of with the spicy moments. I just felt like the relationship was off and could have been blended better.
To say The Wronged Omega was packed full of tension, plot, character development, and spice would be an understatement. Sullyn has a beautiful way of writing that truly takes you away. The pacing is wonderful and it'll grab your attention right from the start. Carmine definitely had me captivated and I found myself wanting to follow along and learn more - I was not disappointed!
The found family and personal paths written by Sully shown really highlight the beauty of found family as well as the many heavy layers many of us know and can relate to with family not being the most... wholesome.

I enjoyed this book a lot, and I loved the group of Mine, Odie, and Cy. The only few issues are have are that it starts, and continues, feeling like you have walked into a conversation that has just started, so you are missing bits. I also don't understand why the whole arm issue was glossed over. There was so much that could have been done there that wasn't. In fact, the theme seems to be that bad things happen but shrug and move on regardless of how bad the bad is. So it feels unrealistic, and like the author just didn't want to put the time in tackling an issue she created. Other than this enjoyable but I'm not sure I would read the next yet.
It’s always interesting to read different takes on relationship dynamics especially where in that universe it’s a norm and the author doesn’t have to spend pages trying to convince the MC that they don’t have to choose between two love interests. The Wronged Omega satisfied this for me. I know there’s an entire flock of readers who already read this kind of dark romance but it’s so hard to find books with FFF dynamics in omegaverse that isn’t just erotica. This book with its adoring characters explored complex themes, remained thrilling from start to finish. I’d definitely recommend.
Twice?! Yes, twice. Bookworld doesn't judge. Mine is one of my favorite FMCs that I've read this year. She's strong and confident but only as a way to protect herself, and it was sooooo satisfying to see Cy and Odie break through to let her be vulnerable, all while being a safe place for Ellie. And alphas with *ahem* anatomy are highly underrated.
Medium burn (it happens but not till the second half of the book roughly) HEAT times Thriller and paranormal elements mixed with omegaverse goodies
This was a really good story with relatable characters dealing with a tough situation. I really felt for Mine, she'd had a tough life in many ways but she dealt with all of it without turning into a whiner, and the latest mishap to befall her changes everything she knows and believes! She was a feisty individual who wasn't afraid to let her opinion be know and in the end it worked for her. Looking forward to reading Ellie's story as she had her own trauma in this story too.
Holy wow!!! This book from start to finish is the definition of can’t put down. I love that the book follows our fmc and her love story while the rest of the plot moves around them. There is next to no stagnation and you get to watch each character change and grow not just the main characters! I read it in less than 24 hours so if you are looking for a bing reading book that you just can’t put down! This is it!
Great omega verse story with love, loss, and so much more. In this one, we get a very unique take on the omega verse and how the hierarchy set up. Female main characters are relatable, not so different from you and I, but bring out the desire to have love, family, and happily ever after.
I enjoyed this one so much. There are definitely some rough times, some triggers that might not be for everyone, but overall I recommend this book to everyone.
I was intrigued by this book bc it was suggested in a book chat I’m apart of. It was definitely interesting at times but overall not my preferred style of writing. It read like a middle school wattpad story. I kept reading because I do not like to leave books unfinished plus I was curious just how it would end. So, again, I’m not the biggest fan of the writing style but it was a quick, “fluffy” read when I wasn’t sure what to choose from my tbr list.
I had the opportunity to get an ARC of this book. Once again Sullyn did not disappoint! I enjoyed every second of this book. The characters and world building were amazing. I can't wait to see what she has in store for Ellie in the next book and also how Mine, Cy, and Odie's relationship grows.
A wonderful FFF omegaverse that had captivating and intriguing characters. The world building was fabulous with a lot of tension, action and emotion.thus drew me in completely. Loved Mine. She has to go through many changes in her life. An amazing read.
The Wronged Omega by Sullyn Shaw was the first FFF Omegaverse story I have read. And I loved it. We meet Mine, a cursed young lady who is mute. I loved Mine. She has such a sass to her. Great story.
I got the opportunity to read this as a beta. It was great! It was my first time reading anything with female alphas with appendages. I loved this take on things!
This was perfect, & reminded me why I love to read Sullyn Shaw’s work. A 5 ⭐️ rating isn’t adequate, it’s better than that. I’m usually not a fan of f/f(🤫🤐), but everything was done to perfection…the characters, pacing, dialogue, the plot…no flaws. 👩🍳💋
