I really enjoyed this series.

It was violent, gruesome, and very spicy.

I loved the guys. Each one different not only in their monstrous appearances and abilities but also in their personalities and quirks. Tesq and Creep stole my heart though.

The overarching storyline was fast paced, and action packed. And I got quite a kick out of all the crazy monsters and their funky and weird appearances.

I'm definitely gonna check out the other series written by these two ladies and hopefully it will be just as good.

4.6 stars.
Well that was a very cute epilogue.🥹
The conclusion to the overarching problem wasn’t Super satisfying, but I still actually liked it.
And the thing that was hinted at that I mentioned in my last review was actually pretty cool.
But let’s be real, I was mostly in it for the relationships and the smut. And I happened to really enjoy those aspects of the books.
Plus the little bits of phsycho humor that was thrown in every now and then kept me cackling throughout it.
It was a really fun series.

It all happens to fast. For how much time she spends not fighting we don't really see any character development with her monsters. We don't really see any growth of the relationship other that verbal changes Aliana just states. But you don't feel it in the characters.

Also the fight was just boring and too quick. The author just skips a lot of it.

And the whole thing in the beginning about her being sold and fighting for her life against the monsters, to her at the end to go kinda like "oh well a lot of New York monsters died, humans good luck" was so out of character. I don't believe the Aliana from the beginning of the book would have just gave up even thinking about the humans.

And the epilogue could have been about her feeding humans and starting colonies or communities, that would have at least redeemed it some. But epilogue babies? Gross.

It was really just weak for me, and it took me forever to read this book.

This has been an absolutely AMAZING series that I have really enjoyed!

I'll admit, it took me a second to remember everything that'd happened so far and who everyone was, but they're all so unique and loveable it really wasn't hard. Seriously, Katie has such a way with writing eccentric characters and I love it so much.

I really adored our FMC, Aliana, particularly in this book. I really love it when the MC is so open to what they want and are confident enough to go for it. Especially when it has to do with monsters. I loved that she really found herself and realized how much she loved everyone. Really, her bonds with the guys were so different and amazing in their own right. Her having powers was unexpected but I ended up really liking that plot twist, as well as the one about her family.

The guys have been the absolute best. There were many times, specifically in the first book, where I'd get frustrated with Aliana and how much she fought against them however the guys were always memorable and unique and loveable enough for me to keep reading and truly enjoy every chapter. It's hard to rank them because they're all so perfect in their own ways, however my favorite is most definitely Tesq, AKA The Grotesque. He's genuinely so adorable despite how many perceive him. He loves Aliana so much and he's just so damn tender and sweet I feel like I have a bad case of cute aggression with him lmao. His sexy times are really amazing too, but really I adored every smutty scene. They were all perfect.

Next we have Creep, AKA The Creeper. He's crazy and wild and so fun and he's also so utterly, hopelessly in love. I really loved how much he lightened the group, and I SALIVATED over that scene towards the beginning with him and Dev. He's just so open and willing and slightly insane I love it.

Dev, AKA The Devourer, gave us that moody angry possessive alpha vibe we all know and love. I always enjoy characters like that, and it was really amusing how much his "tastes" changed after that first encounter with Creep. He's also the most likely one to have angry sexy times with Aliana which is always fun to read.

And last but CERTAINLY not least is Em/Chase, AKA The Empty Man. He inhabits Chase's body and it was honestly really cute watching not only theirs and Aliana's relationship progress but also just theirs alone. They hated each other in the beginning but in this book they really learn to coexist and I loved it so much. Em definitely redeemed himself from his past mistakes, and Chase was a character that I honestly pitied not because of his body/mind situation but because of how misunderstood he was by Aliana. In the end, it all worked out and it was just amazing.

Uni isn't apart of the harem, however he was most definitely a favorite. His character was so funny and genuinely crazy. I loved him and his girls, and finding out about them being sentient was a little crazy but I actually liked it. Made his crazy seem a little less crazy, even with his weird tendencies.

Overall this has been a great series that I've truly loved. It's most definitely a 5/5 because of the unique characters, not just their personalities but also the type of monsters they are. Certainly not your typical monsters but that's what I genuinely enjoyed about it. If you like interesting anatomy, mate bonds with utter devotion, violence/gore, and a slew of unique characters and funny moments then this is the book for you!!!!

(P.S) THAT EPILOGUE WAS SO CUTE AHHHHHHHHHH I CAN'T

What if the world was ravaged by monsters? What if you had to do anything you could to survive? What if you got captured and discovered you are the four most terrifying monsters’ mate?

Now picture these monsters have insteresting powers and that they have the ability (by accident) to sometimes swap body parts and use them to their advantage 🤭

Yep yep. It got my attention too. Honestly they bring the humour, interesting plot twists, super *fan yourself* scenes… you won’t want to set it down and you won’t want it to end.

It was a page turner. Well done Katie and Ann 🤌🏽

Well....!

I have mixed feelings. The end result is I was entertained. The ending wqs cute and sweet. I expected more from the others when they finally ended Creeps father. Imnot thrilled, but I was invested in the characters.

We never do find out if Chase lead the demons to their camp mates. Hmmm, sad redemption for him.

Creep is the fav, hands down. He's more emotionally mature than the others, and Dev is on his way if he can share.

Tesq is adorable and I like that he's shy and sweet. Would love to have seen him grow more throughout the books.

I thought this book would answer some lingering questions from the first two books and conclude the story nicely, but this book was a letdown for me.

There were a lot of descriptions that were repeated from book one that were repeated again in book two and then again in this book. A frequent example of this would be Empty Man talking about all of the bodies he jumped into and the sexual things he did with them. We were this in the first book multiple times, and then again multiple times in book two. Having him do this one again in book 3, even if the intent was to show growth, is beyond annoying and unnecessary. Having Aliana identify all of the waysbshe can distinguish Em and Chase only to saw "don't ask me to explain how I can tell, I just can." You literally just told us how you can and you've told us these same things in book two and now again in this book. I'm not going to list all of the other things, but there were multiple repetitive things that did nothing to move the story forward and came off as being used to hit a word count.

Dev, Creep, Tesq, and Em/Chase: Em/Chase were described at the end of book 2 and after the full rescue in this book as severely bruised, eyes practically swollen shut, wounded, and injured. They're described as limping, barely able to stay upright, and even pass out where they hit their head hard on the concrete floor, which leads to them being placed on the bed. Very shortly later, they're fully awake, jumping out of bed, walking around and ready to fight like none of that happened despite Aliana repeatedly describing how battered they look....including when they go swimming in a shark tank. Empty Man is inside of Chase's body, and we were told in book 2 and this bookxhow many limitations the human has, so how is it that Chase has recovered so quickly? Also, the majority of their growth takes place internally, so we don't even get to see the relationship between each of them and Aliana truly develop the way it did with Creep and Tesq. Chase almost died on multiple occasions and none of that gave him the bravery to tell Aliana how he feels? And Aliana acknowledges jow many times Chase sacrificed himself to save her, but she doesn't make any effort to talk to him about anything. The picnic scene was her literally noticing even more (because she's observed a ton in the previous books) of the emotions she can tell both Chase and Em have for her. We are in book 3--why is she still allegedly doubtful of this after she quickly accepted the same observations with Creep, Tesq and Dev. Dev stayed one dimensional throughout all of the books and had the least amount of growth throughout the entire series. Creep and company know Creep's dad is the mastermind and they barely survived the battle at the meat plant, but their next step is to play around and have sex in a shark tank. I keep reminding myself that this is a romance book with fantasy elements, but even with that in mind it is still dumb placement. Don't get me wrong, it was cute and spicy, but you can tell it was put there solely for the shark tank sex scene because where it's placed in the story makes no sense. Unfortunately, it also shows that Aliana is not attentive to her mates at all because this is the second one third time she's had an injured mate, and instead of taking care of them she has sex with one of her other mates. How can she be anxiously worried about their safety and then immediately go into lusty sex mode with someone else. I wish there had been more Fluffy scenes as well because she was a decent character in the first two books where we got to see her relationships with Tesq, Aliana, and Creep in-depth. There was a missed opportunity to see more of her relationships with Dev and Chase/Em, and she wasn't included in the epiloge at all which was disappointing. The final "boss" fight against Barnabas was lackluster and it didnt help that Tennious (Aliana's dad) explained how he had already planned to kill Barnabas, ironically the same day that she and her mates did, but that they beat him to it. He even said he believed Barnabas was afraid of him, but had ample time to destroy Barnabas once he knew he intended to kill Aliana but he delayed doing it.

I liked most of the fight scenes and that Aliana continued to be a more active fighter in this book. I liked that Creep continued to be funny. His role as the facilitator between Aliana and her other mates was good enough in the series that I didn't care that he didn't have any character growth in this final book. Most of the monsters were destroyed by Uni. Tesq's masks aren't mentioned much in this book, so I'm assuming he stopped wearing them since Aliana embraced his appearance since we're not actually told. I'm glad that Aliana eventually got the bond with all of her mates and finally stated that she loved them. I'm fine with the epiloge, which is basically explaining that she's had 3 kids so far and is currently pregnant and that they're only certain about Creep being Brett's dad while Tesq being Illy's is a guess and Maddi's will never be known. Overall, it was an okay resolution to the story.

I honestly expected a bit more from the final book. Not from the finale. From the final book. It took me eleven days to read this one and that's a lot for the series I actually enjoyed quite a lot. And yet, I wouldn't exactly say it was a disappointment. That word would be too harsh and I don't feel that way. Just like Goodreads says, three stars is "I liked it". Now to my notes...

All in all, I liked this series. It was a nice one to read right after Halloween. But I'll say one thing (and maybe that can be used as a blackmail material against me later in life, lmao)... I expected a little more monstrous behavior from monsters, but not, like, evil one. Am I making sense here? I expected a little less human-like behavior, but I didn't want them to be evil. I think some of them were evil enough. If anyone here played Homicipher, that's kinda what I expected mean. That's the kind of monsters I expected. That's not a critique though, I'm just uhhh... Not thinking aloud, more like thinking as I write.
Anyway... I still had a good time with the series and I liked it. That's why I'm giving this one three stars. I still liked it. I am not disappointed in the authors and I will read their works again. I'm thankful for all the work they did here. Until next time, Ms. May and Ms. Denton!

*SPOILERS AT THE END*

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 /5 ; OVERALL RATING

🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 ; SPICE

🖤🖤🖤🖤/5 ; ROMANCE

Aliana lives in a world full of monsters, monsters who had taken over 100 years before. They take humans as slaves and if not, they just kill them. One day on a mission to get more medicine for her group she and a frenemy (Chase) are kidnapped and is placed on bid for other monsters. The four terrors (Creep, Grotesque, Devourer, and Empty Man) all place a bid believing her to be their mate. The terrors are the top of the food chain and are the scariest monsters around. Throughout the series she gets to know each of them including Chase and falls in love. They all face a problem of lower monsters trying to takeover and eventually have a huge fight to end the war.

Okay, so I love monster romances, they’re always a fun read but this was kinda a miss. Everything was so rushed and the relationship development wasn’t there. One day she didn’t like them and then the next she was fighting off feelings of love? Idk, insta-love novels need to be written with more tact and this just didn’t hit. I was left with more questions than answers and there was a lot missing. Like I don’t understand why their powers were so powerful. Creep? He literally would just teleport lmao. Overall, if this was maybe 4 books with MORE relationship development and showing more than telling it would be so much better!

Aliana- ice powers that developed randomly bc WHY NOT MAKE HER HALF HUMAN/MONSTER, WHYYYYY NOT
Devourer- werewolf type guy
Empty man- ghost
Creep- can teleport through dark spaces? And was blue lol
Grotesque- gargoyle
Chase- human

What I liked:
- [ ] World building was okay not the best but still good!
- [ ] The monsters 👹
- [ ] Grotesque pulled at my heart strings in the second book🥺🥺🥺
- [ ] The humor lol I definitely giggled quite a few times when reading
- [ ] The epilogue was very cute :)

What I didn’t like:
- [ ] Felt very rushed especially in the first book
- [ ] A lot of telling not showing so it felt like there wasn’t much relationship development
- [ ] Struggled to connect with the characters because of that^^^
- [ ] Dev being a misogynistic asshole lol
- [ ] We’re the monsters only on the east coast? What about the rest of the US? Or the world??
- [ ] I just had a lot of questions..

Ugh. I really liked the first in the series but it went downhill for me. The momentemum was also ruined having to wait a year between books when they were so short and quick with major cliffhangers. Maybe my review would have been higher if I just waited until they were all out and was able to read in one go. But as it is, I felt disappointed in how things all came to a rushed end.

My major notes:
- Dev was an aboslute asshole even until the end. He was awful and annoying the entire time.
- Creep felt like an accessory character. Most of the time he just felt like a way to smooth the relationship between Aliana and the other Terrors.
- Tesq was adorable, as always. However there was a HUGE plot line that seemed to have never been addressed. (His mask...)
- Em/Chase - ?????????????????? I'm?? Truly dumbfounded by this whole plot line. This is the one I have the biggest issues with. You get basically no resolution for their whole issue. Which is fine, I guess, but it reallllly felt like there was going to be so much more with them. To the point where the entire time I thought there was going to be a 4th book just figuring them out. Em gets no backstory. All his redemption happens inside his head with Chase. And Chase is just a guy. He never gets to go back "home" and is stuck with a man living inside him forever. And that's that because he loves Aliana.
- Aliana was fine. She gets her very last minute, not very well gone into depth, cliche revelation.
- The rocks??? What the hell was that even about???
- The absolutely unresolved homoerotic tension during this entire series... So disappointing!!

All in all, I think this needed to be longer. Everything was so rushed and there was so much that could have been delved deeper into. Relationships could have been explored so much more. There was just so much untapped potential that when it ended that was the only thing I could think about.

Of course, and thankfully, this book picks up right where the last left off. I promise myself I will never read another book, unless I know if it is a series and if the series is complete because it would suck if I had to wait to pick this story up a few months later. I’m already emotionally invested in these characters and in their happiness and success. As I have been reading this series I wanted happily ever after for the mates but also for humanity. I wanted them to stop being hunted, enslaved, and slaughtered. I like the interaction between them all. Katie May captures their personalities so well with the banter. This book has a twist in the middle, We have that mystery to solve as well as the mystery of the pouch of magical gems. Where did they come from? What is the source of their power and what is their purpose? The most compelling goal is the complete defeat of Creep’s dad, the mastermind behind the conflict, carnage, and coup. One thing I know for a fact after reading this book is that I will never look at visiting a public aquarium the same. Creep is still my favorite but now with Tesq coming in a close second. I’m so thankful this was the conclusion of the story, not because I am done with the characters. I’m not. I love them all. But because I hate the cliff hangers that this author seems to love.

That was a fantastic ending to this series.

Aliana is such a fierce character. She embraces the darker, unfamiliar side of her and just runs with it. She’s definitely not great at speaking how she feels, but she definitely shows it. I was *very* worried for her for a moment, though. Oof. You’ll know what I mean if you’ve read it.

Tesq will forever and always be my favorite. I love the soft giant types, and he’s definitely one of those. I’m so happy he and Aliana finally got their moment.

Go Creep! He was amazing in this book. He’s always so light-hearted, and he’s definitely the jokester of the group.

Dev is just as possessive, but I’m glad he’s learning that sharing is caring. He’s so intense, but I think his intensity matches Alaina’s well.

I was very uncertain about Chase, but I’m glad he ended up sticking around. He’s pretty useful, even as a human, and I loved seeing him open up to Aliana. I’m happy that Em is still insane but now has directed his insanity towards Aliana. The picnic was adorable.

I loved meeting Uni and his girls. I think we may need a novella about them. I am very intrigued. 😂

5/5 stars and I’d say 2/5 spice. It’s definitely a plot heavy series, but it’s so good! Totally worth the read.

Review of Worshipped by Monsters by Katie May and Ann Denton
* * * * *
The epic finale to a monster riddled romance read! Villans get served, our girl discovers who she is, our monsters find their redemption and happiness, and so much raw naughty taboo hotness you cannot turn this book down!

Aliana's so close to finding happiness with her monsters, they just have to deal with a tyrant and avoid being eaten by nasty mutant monsters with teeth.
The Empty Man still inhabiting Chase work together to get their girl and redeem their actions.
Tesq builds his confidence as well as takes on a new awesome power.
Dev tons town his anger issues...and puts them to better use (winky wink).
Creep deals with his daddy issues.
They are just going to need some help and stop having 'fun' in interesting places.

A great ending to the triology.
Harmony is found within the group, and we are given some more extra spice to no leave us wanting more from what have come from this book.

10/10 best monster series ever!

Absolutely one incredible series, so much fun, excitement and entertainment in a series. It’s tested my sanity for sure but with book 3 made more sense even though by book 2 I was thinking it (if you know, you know) 😜

Monsters who definitely go bump in the night, actually surprise how likeable they are. A human FMC who has one kinky dark side. And I can’t help it creep who was my favourite, he made this series so much fun, if your after a proper laugh then he’s your monster.

Think book 3 has been the funniest for me.

One very enjoyable series that just what you need in life ❤️

Okay I really wanted to hold out hope and see this series through… but I feel like the planning sheet got lost or something because there was so many CONTRADICTIONS in this book!

Dev has been mentioned being 12 feet multiple times.. the opening chapter is him saying he’s glad he’s 7 feet and big and strong the fuck

Then Aliana finds out that she’s not human and suddenly wants to beat the shit out of a monster and she says the Dev “is the only one who doesn’t treat me with kid gloves”… yet Creep and her are constantly saying how overprotective and controlling he is … like make your mind up authors.

Much like the other 2 books in the series this book was funny, steamy, sweet and fast paced. We see relationships grow further and find out more about Aliana’s past. Which was greatly needed for further context.

My 2 concerns about this book was within the first couple of chapters there seemed to be some confusion on what color Chase’s eyes were. At first they were noted as blue and then the rest of the book they were green. A minimal detail but one as a previous Beta reader, I noticed. The other was how short the final boss battle was. I needed more.

Overall, the book was great and still had everything it needed to round out this series and make it a memorable one.

This is a must read for fans of tales that are a little darker, a little more twisted, a lot of fire & spice, and a hell of a lot of fun to read. It's a worthy finale to a well written and engrossing series. Ann Denton and Katie May prove again what an incomparable team they make! At times funny, sexy, intense and always entertaining. The journey of Aliana and her monsters....Creep, Tesque, Dev, and Em/Chase... has been amazing to follow. I loved the entire series and am sad to say goodbye💕

The best of the series

Spoilers.
I love the enemies to lovers was a bit slow going forward but in this book they were solely devoted to each other (except Chase/Em), who had to work for the relationship. There was enough funny dialogue, and twists- the dolls coming to life, her surprise father, her death and coming back, pregnancy. It was exciting to read ,as each chapter was written with a lot of intrigue and the spice was 4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

It was such a fantastic series!

As much as I loved all Aliana's mates.. TESQ was where it was AT!!!!! I Literally got so giddy when they kissed or had smexy time for the first time. Tesq's shyness and how he absolutely worships Aliana was so freaking attractive 😍 😩 🥵

Lots of sexy times, a bit of a plot, and some intense moments near the end of this book really topped it off for me. So glad I picked this one up!

Not a strong finish but not too bad I guess?

My thoughts, not in order of importance:

Relationships all ended up in a pretty good place. I actually ended up liking the Em/Chase resolution. 🥲

But I still don’t understand Barbabas’s motivation and plan? Kill all the monsters and just rule over humans? Or was he planning to kill the humans too? Since that was the driving force behind the plot throughout all three books I feel like that should have been very clear to the reader and it was not at all.

I am glad that we got Aliana’s origin story, that was nice, definitely cleared up some things.

❤️Thoughts❤️

This is the conclusion to this series, and I’m happy with how everything turned out.

My only complaint is that I wish the ending was longer and you saw more intimate moments with Chase/ EM. Out of all her mates, I was rooting for him and Aliana to finally get past all the BS, which they did but it took forever to get there.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐
Tropes🔦: Monster mates, Bad@$$ female, Paranormal romance, RH, No Cheating, possessive /OTT mates, Touch her and 💀.
Steamy:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Type📣: Book three of the series.
Recommend: Yes! Highly recommend this series to anyone who loves possessive, psychotic monsters who will do anything for their girl!

This is a great conclusion to this series. Told from all POV. There was a lot going on throughout this series and it is difficult to sum it up. It’s spicy, sensitive, raw and funny. So many feels. The authors do a wonderful job of pulling you into the story and showing the characters souls...and you want to go on their journey with them. Love the epilogue!

Best read !

A terrific ensemble of sexy, funny, brave and noble characters. Each book in the trilogy was better than the last. Watching the characters love for each other grow as they adjust to their monstrous dynamic and save their world was thrilling. The sex was oh so hot and thrilling too! 😂

A bit weaker than the other books, but enjoyable as a finisher for the series. I feel like everyone’s story was told and all of the romances really came together in a believable way. Seeing the guys really getting along was great. The final boss sort of bored me though. Uni was weird but interesting, especially with his girls.

Yay, an amazing finish to this series.

Did I raise an eyebrow or two and some of the smexy scenes? Why yes, they were spicy and intriguing. Monster romances are so great for variety!

A good splattering of humour and great story.

I loved the epilogue too.
