This book is a mix of “a little spooky” to downright stomach turning horror. The author does a great job sucking you into a short story and leaving you wanting more, but also being afraid to know more. The story Doomscrolling hit a little too close to home for me and I plan to avoid my phone for the next couple of days.
Great collection!

3.5. Doomscrolling was definitely the highlight of the book. I'd like to see more about From a Colder Place...such a creepy vibe to it.

Thoroughly enjoyed this collection. Short, sharp and entertaining. Read in one sitting. Doomscolling was the star, Judith captured the agonising downside to social media expertly.

I just adore the works of Judith Sonnet! She has this way of story telling that evokes such strong emotions from her readers, which is a true talent. With one particular story in this collection, it was absolute rage for me. It takes a skilled writer to construct a character so detestable as Ripley in the story titled Bury Me. Grab this book and see why!
Her other works in Doomscrolling: and other stories demonstrate her abilities to be a skilled versatile author. She is unafraid to challenge her writing by branching off into her eerie tellings of quiet horror, unique plots, and single page short stories. Great read!

Judith Sonnet always delivers and Doomscrolling is no exception — the four short stories in this collection are all a variety of messed up, weird and creepy as fuck. It’s definitely a collection that’s worth getting if you’re a horror fan.

I especially liked how it’s not /too/ extreme and it definitely feels like a good middle ground when it comes to Judith Sonnet’s books. It’s just uncomfortable and gross enough, but not over the top, and I think each of the stories are strong on their own. So all in all, it’s just a good horror short collection.

A collection of 4 short stories from creepy to downright abominable. These stories are all different, but very interesting. They will make you feel all sort of sorts of emotions, from just making you uneasy, to completely sick to your stomach.
The main event of this collection was my favorite story, Doomscrolling. I loved how extremely disturbing it was, some part were atrocious and not easy to read, even for me. But it was expected, it’s extreme horror, and written by Judith after all.

I am absolutely on a Judith kick, and want more.

Doomscrolling was amazing, and i don't just mean the short story in the collection, the whole little book.

I need more, yes, i want more, another yes, but can i handle more?
Probably not, but here i am going for my next Sonnet special .

One of my favorites in this category, good story, crazy scenarios, and always a good horrifying time.

Wow! This was my first book by Judith and I'm mind blown! She for sure has a new fan!
All four stories were amazing but specifically the second story about the subway and the main event, doomscrolling!
The second story was short enough to have you confused and lost, and needing answers, I will think about it forever for that very reason. What the frick??
Doomscrolling did as it was intended, I think Its time I retire the social medias and maybe just watch re runs of bones😂

"Doomscrolling” by Judith Sonnet is a captivating collection of horror stories that range from mildly spooky to downright stomach-churning.

Sonnet's storytelling draws readers in, leaving them both eager to uncover more and wary of what they might discover. The first story really gave me the creeps!

Doomscrolling struck a nerve with me so if anyone has trouble reaching me, it’s because I’ve nuked my phone and all means of communication. K thanks 😅
