Alick Mates. As a human, Alick’s never been jealous of flying or magic, but mates…well, that’s worth a bit of envy and a dash of bad decisions. But with magic in the air and a mate who might be under a compulsion, all he can do is pray to the ancestors that they haven’t killed his potential mate…or worse.
Grady Troublemakers. Grady’s always known his mate is out there somewhere waiting for him, but what he never expected is to be put under a compulsion or to find his mate in the strangest town he’s ever been to. But with the magic of mates and an adorable little who needs a Daddy and a bit of confidence, anything is possible.
If a spell can find wallets, keys, and phones, surely it can find where Alick’s mate has wandered off to, right?
I had to take a minute before I wrote this review. Otherwise the first two to three lines would have been a bunch WOWs and OMGs with some squealing thrown in. Yes it’s that good. I have been finding Alick adorable but now it’s even more do. And Grady was a riot. Just the kind of dragon the town needed. Plus we get some new history that opens the series for even more stories, especially since we’ve got the four friends all mated up. I always want more after each book but this one screams it the loudest. So many ways this series and town can go. I’ve loved all the books in the series but this one is my favorite.
4,5 stars Mischief and Mates is the Fourth book in the Blue Ridge Magic series by M.A. Innes. It's the story of Alick and Grady. I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.
I am a 50 years old vanilla, straight, married (for 37 years) mother and grandmother who is so in love with this series it's scary. I have always believed to each his own in politics, love and life in general. Even if I was slightly homophobic I would still read this series for the shear enjoyment of laughing out loud that I get from almost every page. I enjoy sarcasm and using it to make life less stressful just as this author does in every way with this series. Even the sex scenes have a humorous undertone that makes the entire "scene" worth reading. This is a lighthearted and easy pick me up read after a long week at life. The premise is just crazy enough to lose yourself in but gives you the insight to understand the lessons of trust and unconditional love expressed by the main characters. But my favorites are the nosey townspeople. I live and work in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountain Range and let me tell you, this characterization is spot on. As an "outsider" who moved here from Southern New Jersey, I can relate to believing most of the town must be aliens...lol!
Human Alick wanted his mate and magic was used to try and compel his mate to find him. All he can do is pray to the ancestors that they haven’t killed his potential mate. Dragon shifter Grady has always known his mate is out there somewhere waiting for him, but what he never expected is to be put under compulsion and then to find his mate in the strangest town he’s ever been to. But with the magic of mates and an adorable little one who needs a Daddy and a bit of confidence anything is possible.
This was a sweet story as the crazy littles struggled with reality at times and had stronger beliefs but did manage to cast a spell to help Alick with the location of his mate. As usual, the diner and all of the crazy townsfolk had something to say to add to any discussion that was there and Alick was badly embarrassed. I loved Grady and how he was tolerant of all the shenanigans in the town and along the littles there. There were moments to cause laughter and smiles in this story which was easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with some mature content.
This was a really fun Blue Ridge Magic romance. Human Alick's best friends are dragons, so it should be no surprise that his mate is, too. Grady is a funny, trouble-loving goofball, but he's also the best daddy/dom that little/sub Alick could hope for. As mates, all their kinks line up. Grady keeps reminding the easily embarrassed Alick that mates are always compatible, and I love his patience as Alick grows more comfortable. This book, like the rest of the series, is full of humor and heart. The sexy times are hot, but they are also sweet. The men, their friends, and the nosy townspeople are all at least a little crazy, but they all have good hearts. These stories are easy to love, and I hope the series isn't over. I'm interested in learning more about the gate and the history of the dragons and mages, as well as the humans who know their secrets. I love the pieces we've received so far, and I'm hopeful that there will be more to come.
"Mischief and mates" is book four in the "Blue Ridge Magic" series. We are in a small town where mages and dragons live amongst humans. Each book follows a different couple but I think it's more fun if you read the books in order. Book four focuses on Alick, who is a human and Grady who is a dragon. The meet cute between the two was really fun and different, I found it very entertaining. I also really liked that we found out more about the history of dragons and mages and it was interesting to know how Alick's family has helped the paranormal community. I loved learning more about the world. The chemistry between Alick and Grady was wonderful. I had fun reading this book. It was sweet and funny.
I enjoyed Alick and Grady’s book! It’s a fun insta-romance and a good addition to the series. I liked that Grady didn’t take himself too seriously and I thought both little and little-little Alick were adorable. My only complaint is that we didn’t get to see how Alick and Erin got along together
Alick and Grady's book is sweet, funny, fun and hot; it has everything I want in a book lol. Do you like a sweet, innocent, manipulative little and the Daddy who loves them and makes them pancakes? What about dragons and mates? If you like those things this is the book for you.
Love this series, Alick wanted to find his mate so Lorne decided to ask his mate to help Alick find ' something he had lost '. Grady knew something was happening,, maybe magic, but he needed to leave his home and look for his mate. Every time he got close he lost his mate . Fun read with no anguish, just from the nosey friends who want to know all the details of the new dragon in town.
This town is so much fun! Grady is Alick mate, and the two of them are a very sweet couple. We don´t see too much the previous couples in the series, but these two are more than enough. A Daddy eager to love and pamper his little and a very compeling Alick work perfectly to make a cute story. Don´t miss it!
Another cute and fun addition to the Blue Ridge Magic series.
In this, you'll find: ✨️MM Paranormal romance ✨️A human in the know ✨️A Canadian dragon shifter artist ✨️An accidental mate compulsion spell ✨️Daddy Doms ✨️Littles ✨️Body insecurities relating to being a muscular Little ✨️Found family ✨️Small town ✨️A HEA
I am absolutely loving this series. This was so cute and funny and the characters are all so amazing and adorable. This time we get Alick’s story and it was so good. I can’t wait to read more from this series.
I loved Alicks story. I mean hello here’s a human in a town of mages and dragons who is seeing all his friends have these great romances due to having mates. He has the best of friends who have the hare brained idea to have his mate come to him. What a great read!
I am really enjoying this series! This is Alick’s book, and while Titan not my favorite of the four, it is still really good. I enjoyed learning more of the history of the dragons and mages, and I hope there will be characters from the other towns soon!
I laughed so hard when I realized that spell went awry! 🤣 Alick and Grady are just so sweet together. And can I just say that there's something so sexy about being chased by your very own monster?? I love this series so much!
The crazies are back. Witchcraft was involved, and a spell was cast. A compulsion was sent out into the ether. It turned up with a Grady. A Daddy dragon for Alick. Mr Kennedy is at it again with helpful suggestions, ridiculous questions, and conclusions. Hilarious 😂 😃 🤣
These dragons and mages are confusing. Hah! In the best sort of way. And the town in Blue Ridge is entirely too nosy. But Alick is a cutie who deserves his mate and Grady is absolutely perfect for him. Mates are compatible in every way and now how the bind should work.
This book was so dang good. I love both main MC’s and so happy that Alick finally got his story. This was filled with so much cuteness and adorableness that you just can’t help but want to keep reading. I loved all the funny moments and the craziness. I want more.
This was a cute story. With the signature humor of most of her stories and the antics of the crazy townspeople, this story does not disappoint. It’s part of a series but truly can be read as a standalone. Contains regression and mild D/s dynamic.
I really liked this book. 4 stars for rating, 3.5 for spice. Having one of the Daddies be a kind of troublemaker was interesting. And he handled the nosy townspeople well.
Alick being the last of the four friends to find his mate, we get to see more of the towns background in this story and how his family has played a role. With him needing to wait for his Daddy Grady who is a dragon to get to him, we get a story full of humour, gifts, naughtiness, banter, love and spice.
This for me was the best in the series to date. I’m absolutely enjoying this world that the author has created.
Alick and Grady get together in the funniest way - a spell that wasn't supposed to be used to find a mate! However when they realize things had been drawing them together anyway, their romance really takes off. Both of them had a huge desire for their perfect fit, and the readers get the bonus if some additional Lore of the dragons and mages in this world. A solid addition to a fun series
