What a seriously fantastic read! I have been waiting forever for Tatiana and Ms. Winners did not disappoint! Wonderfully epic storyline with so many twists, turns, and secrets to be uncovered. The chemistry between them is 🔥🔥🔥 and their fiery personalities translate well to the bedroom scenes. The cliffy is killer, but luckily the second part of the duet releases right away. Can't wait!

I was craving Tatiana and Illias's story since "SASHA" and I was exciting when I learned that we would have a whole duet dedicated to these two!!!
I knew that Tatiana was lost after the loss of her dear husband, Adrian and that she started to spiral out of control and I was waiting like crazy to see how Illias will change the game, but OMG!!! I took so much more than I was bargained for from Eva Winners!!!
This was a hell of a complicating story and I can not wait to jumb into the second part and uncover everything that has happened before and to see a future that these two could be together!!!

Llevo un tiempo leyendo el mundo de mafia de Eva y es impresionante cómo va introduciendo nuevos personajes, estableciendo conexiones entre las familias del mundo criminal mientras crea nuevas tramas, con más secretos y sorpresas que cautivan y atrapan al lector desde el primer momento.
Tatiana es de esos personajes que carga mucho sufrimiento y conlleva un gran proceso de crecimiento y sanación. Es una princesa de la mafia con sus propios sueños y anhelos, pero con el corazón roto. Me encanta que sea tan feroz, terca e impulsiva. Es muy astuta y leal a su familia. Me gusta cómo expresa sus sentimientos y no se doblega ni se acobarda ante nadie.
Ilias me sorprendió mucho más. Es el Pakhan de la Bratva, imponente y demandante. Tiene tantas cargas encima debido a su pasado y a pesar de eso, no se ha rendido. Desde su infancia siempre se ha preocupado por sus hermanos y ha hecho todo por ellos. Y ahora, con la amenaza de ataque por parte de otras organizaciones criminales, está haciendo todo por proteger a los suyos.
La forma y circunstancias en la que él y Tatiana se conocieron me tiene intrigada, más secretos que saldrán a la luz cuando se revele esta parte. Su historia lo tiene todo: intriga, suspenso, mentiras, traiciones, pasión y acción. La historia está muy bien estructurada, con entresijos y secretos entre el pasado y el presente. Los personajes secundarios aportan a la trama y los cameos de los personajes de los libros anteriores fueron increíbles.

The beginning of the book starts with the heroine is grieving about her death husband. Because the previous book of SASHA which is the heroine’s brother, it explains that the heroine’s husband died and she is having a hard time about it. So this SASHA AND VASILI LITTLE SISTER NAME TATIANA LOVE STORY! The beginning of the story is not ideal for me because it start with the heroine loving someone else before officially loving the hero and just have a history that has to said it first at so many times in this first book. See? NOT my ideal book that i want to read… But idk why this author just making me annoyed lately with her newest books these past couple of months😓😓 AND YES ANOTHER OF THE AUTHOR LATEST AND USUAL HERO CHARACTER IS ALSO IN THIS BOOK: The one where the hero is obsessed with the heroine for seven to eight years but didn’t actually pursue her in those years. He was obsessed with her, stalk her but yet he never pursue her. And the reasons for the heroes to do that? Is a stupid reason. The last three books of the author writes heroes like that which is beyond annoying. ANNOYING AF!!!!! (I thought the author will stopped that bullsh*t but no…. The fvcked up still continues and it frustrates me to the core🤯) If you want a romance book that start of with the heroine and hero already a couple or going to be a couple without someone else in the past, then don’t read this. Because the first chapters in the book, the heroine is mourning about her late husband so much and feel sorry for herself and thought about the OM way too much. And many more of her stupidity and dumbest things💩

The beginning of the book starts with something like that so i sometimes skipped some of it cause its too sad 😅🤣 But maybe the author wants the readers to first be sad then be happy for her lol. Emotional roller coaster 😆😆 The way she’s grieving is she drinks a lot of alcohol, thankfully there’s no drugs and she doesn’t like to go out especially to her family, she’s always feeling sorry for herself and about everything in life. Her grieving stages is too much to read that’s why i skipped some of it😅 Cause when I read a book like this, i like to escape from the real world and not reading the real world if you know what i mean🫣🫣😅 BUT ALSO it’s not too much either because some of the grieving stages the heroine was going through, there’s also a mystery…. That’s why when i skipped some of it, i still read it and there was a mystery. Honestly it made me more curious about this book😋

Let start with what I don’t like about the book. Start with the bad news then the good-news 😂
1. THIS FIRST BOOK. THE HEROINE PUSH AWAY THE HERO WAY TOO MUCH….. LIKE THROUGHOUT THE FIRST BOOK, THE HEROINE PUSH THE HERO AWAY AND NOT ONLY ONCE. BUT WAY TOO MANY TIMES 🥲 EVEN THOUGH THE HERO IS TRYING TO MAKE HER UNDERSTAND HIS INTENTIONS TOWARDS HER AND ALWAYS SAY BEAUTIFUL THINGS TO HER, SHE ALWAYS PUSH HIM AWAY…. AND HER REASON IS NOT REASONABLE. HER REASON IS INCREDIBLY STUPID LIKE HER BRAIN MOST OF THE TIME🥵 I lost count on how many freakin times he said about wanting her and to be with him, but the stupid woman always says NO. Always say bad things to him like the hero being in the mafia, WHILE THE HEROINE’S FAMILY AND HER DEATH HUSBAND IS IN THE MAFIA AS WELL…. HOW STUPID CAN THIS HEROINE BE???! IT’S SO FRUSTRATING TO READ A ANNOYING AND BAD CHARACTER LIKE THIS HEROINE…. LIKE WHEN I READ THE BOOK, I WANT TO PUNCH THE HER😓😓
2. THE HERO TAKE WAY TOO LONG TO ACTUALLY PURSUE THE HEROINE. Because of his personal issue about his past life, he doesn’t want to pursue the heroine for real after he learned that the heroine is already married to someone else. BUT WHEN THEY HAD S3X, THE HEROINE WAS SINGLE AND WAS NOT MARRIED YET. The hero thought that the late husband is making her happy so he let them ne. But also still stalking her every day life and everything. Which is annoying. I don’t know why but when I read that, I’m like, HERE WE GO AGAIN WITH THIS AUTHOR…. LIKE PLEASE WHEN YOU FIRST WRITE YOUR BOOK ABOUT A COUPLE, START WITH THE COUPLE ALREADY IN THAT RELATIONSHIP, NOT WAITING LIKE THAT😡😡 IF YOU HAVE A GREAT REASON ON WHY THE COUPLE HAVE TO WAIT OR THE HERO HAVE TO WAIT, OKAY THAT’S UNDERSTANDABLE. BUT THIS HERO SAID HE LET THE HEROINE BE WITH HER LATE HUSBAND BECAUSE HE THOUGHT IT WAS FOR THE BEST?????!!!!!! 🫠🥵🥵 LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FVCK🤯🤬 THAT’S NOT EVEN A GOOD REASON AT ALL…. CAN YOU GUYS SEE MY FRUSTRATION ABOUT THIS WHOLE THING???! 😖😖 AUTHOR STOP WITH THIS NONSENSE BULLSH*T BECAUSE IT’S NOT EVEN OKAY!!!! IT’S SO STUPID😓 WHAT KIND OF A ROMANCE IS THIS 🥵🥵
3. When the heroine push the hero away, even when he texts her and calls her, she didn’t answered. She only answer when she’s horny and drunk. Not only i have to read a stupid heroine, i have to read a alcoholic and idiotic woman character ever.
4. The heroine and hero both is stupid. But the heroine is way too stupid. When the heroine didn’t text the hero, the hero didn’t text her for weeks as well. If something important comes up, then he will text her or come to see her. LIKE BACK IN FORTH THESE TWO PLAY THEIR RELATIONSHIP LIKE CHILDREN OR WORST THAN CHILDREN. My eyes was burning when i read “six weeks later, two weeks later, three weeks later”. I’m trying to enjoy this book but it was hard when annoying things like this keeps happening🥵😓
5. The heroine always says to the hero when they have s3x for the first time, she says THIS IS ONLY A HOOKUP. When the hero says no and then continue to says no because this is permanent to him, she always say that. She continued to say that until the end of the book. When the hero always make sure to her that this is real. I don’t know how many times the heroine will heal from her stupid brain because she never believe what he said. Not because the hero is doing something bad so she doesn’t believe him, but her stupid brain and stupid POV is refused to believe him for no reasons 🥵😑💀
6. I have to read chapters of the heroine still thinking about the OM, talking about their time together and her love for him. While that connects the story i understand that, but it just annoying… like start the book with the couple already and no contacts with their past partners. not with this character still have strong feelings for someone else in the past.
The story begins with the heroine is driving with her husband and they got into a accident. Her husband died and the heroine hear a sound. A sound of a man that is willing to help her out of the car and save her life. The man did save her life and brought her to the hospital. The heroine was not badly injured tho. When the heroine woke up, she only remembered her late husband died in front of her in the accident and now she’s a widow. The hero is the one who saved the heroine. When the hero saved the heroine, he immediately pursue the heroine real this time and stalk her everywhere she goes and have guards with her as well. The hero said that finally she can be with him, because the heroine have been wanting her for years. Like seven years. He first saw her at a party then have s3x with her but because it was a dark spot when they have s3x, the hero knows who she is but unfortunately the heroine doesn’t know who he is. The heroine even thought that was her late husband when it was not. And also her late husband even lied to her that it was him, when it reality it was not him. It was the hero… The hero let the heroine be with the OM because he thought it was the best but also still wanting her after all these years… THE WHOLE STORY IT’S A DARK ROMANCE BUT TO BE HONEST WITH YOU ALL. THIS NEW ROMANCE FROM THIS AUTHOR GAVE ME A HEADACHE 😓

I love the hero. His character is way better than the heroine… He always defend the heroine to anyone even to his fellow mafia circle. He loves to take care of the heroine physically and emotionally even when the heroine is being total b*tch for no reason.
The hero is so patient to the dumb b*tch🤣

HE SAID IT MANY TIMES IN HIS POV that gave me butterflies 🫣😆 So romantic. And seriously, MANY TIMES he said beautiful and hot things about the heroine…

‼️‼️‼️IT HAD DRAMA WITH OM AND MAFIA ENEMIES… THE OM is physically dead already when this first book started but the problems he left the heroine is still hanging. And that i called a drama with OM 🤣 NO OW DRAMA…. NO.
And mostly the drama is about the heroine being stupid 🥵

‼️‼️‼️The heroine. Like i said above about what I don’t like in this book, the heroine is honestly the most frustrating and annoying woman character ever. I don’t like her at all even at the beginning. The heroine is too arrogant, spoiled, childish, boring, stupid, small minded and not very smart. Maybe smart in her business and her work but not in real life feelings or thoughts. Cause her POV is honestly blows my mind, it made me want to choke her😡 Many times the heroine likes to gaslighting the hero, lies to him about her feelings.
‼️‼️‼️UNFORTUNATELY the first book here for me is not too romantic and the chemistry is low. Why is low? Because when the couple meet, the first word from the heroine is always mean things even when the hero didn’t say anything yet. And the hero always says hot and romantic things to her but the heroine yet again always push him away. Her words are always harmful and disgusting. I sometimes think she doesn’t work her brain properly🫠 The romance and chemistry, you can feel it when you read their intimate moment. But when it’s over, it’s mean words again from the hero. And throughout this first book, the heroine is like that. Read it so you can believe me. So for me personally their romance is low cause of how many negativity comes from the heroine… Like i get that she’s going through some stuff like grieving about her late husband, but that doesn’t make you a sh*tty person to a good guy.
And also the saddest part is that THERE IS NO DINNER DATE. OR GOING ON A DATE IN GENERAL. Damn. Even in the wynter and basilio story, they have a date even just for couple of nights but they still go. And why this one doesn’t have that? How can I feel the chemistry?! Huh? 😑💀🥵

The beginning of the book starts with something like that so i sometimes skipped some of it cause its too sad 😅🤣 But maybe the author wants the readers to first be sad then be happy for her lol. Emotional roller coaster 😆😆 The way she’s grieving is she drinks a lot of alcohol, thankfully there’s no drugs and she doesn’t like to go out especially to her family, she’s always feeling sorry for herself and about everything in life. Her grieving stages is too much to read that’s why i skipped some of it😅 Cause when I read a book like this, i like to escape from the real world and not reading the real world if you know what i mean🫣🫣😅 BUT ALSO it’s not too much either because some of the grieving stages the heroine was going through, there’s also a mystery…. That’s why when i skipped some of it, i still read it and there was a mystery. Honestly it made me more curious about this book😋

Let start with what I don’t like about the book. Start with the bad news then the good-news 😂
1. THIS FIRST BOOK. THE HEROINE PUSH AWAY THE HERO WAY TOO MUCH….. LIKE THROUGHOUT THE FIRST BOOK, THE HEROINE PUSH THE HERO AWAY AND NOT ONLY ONCE. BUT WAY TOO MANY TIMES 🥲 EVEN THOUGH THE HERO IS TRYING TO MAKE HER UNDERSTAND HIS INTENTIONS TOWARDS HER AND ALWAYS SAY BEAUTIFUL THINGS TO HER, SHE ALWAYS PUSH HIM AWAY…. AND HER REASON IS NOT REASONABLE. HER REASON IS INCREDIBLY STUPID LIKE HER BRAIN MOST OF THE TIME🥵 I lost count on how many freakin times he said about wanting her and to be with him, but the stupid woman always says NO. Always say bad things to him like the hero being in the mafia, WHILE THE HEROINE’S FAMILY AND HER DEATH HUSBAND IS IN THE MAFIA AS WELL…. HOW STUPID CAN THIS HEROINE BE???! IT’S SO FRUSTRATING TO READ A ANNOYING AND BAD CHARACTER LIKE THIS HEROINE…. LIKE WHEN I READ THE BOOK, I WANT TO PUNCH THE HER😓😓
2. THE HERO TAKE WAY TOO LONG TO ACTUALLY PURSUE THE HEROINE. Because of his personal issue about his past life, he doesn’t want to pursue the heroine for real after he learned that the heroine is already married to someone else. BUT WHEN THEY HAD S3X, THE HEROINE WAS SINGLE AND WAS NOT MARRIED YET. The hero thought that the late husband is making her happy so he let them ne. But also still stalking her every day life and everything. Which is annoying. I don’t know why but when I read that, I’m like, HERE WE GO AGAIN WITH THIS AUTHOR…. LIKE PLEASE WHEN YOU FIRST WRITE YOUR BOOK ABOUT A COUPLE, START WITH THE COUPLE ALREADY IN THAT RELATIONSHIP, NOT WAITING LIKE THAT😡😡 IF YOU HAVE A GREAT REASON ON WHY THE COUPLE HAVE TO WAIT OR THE HERO HAVE TO WAIT, OKAY THAT’S UNDERSTANDABLE. BUT THIS HERO SAID HE LET THE HEROINE BE WITH HER LATE HUSBAND BECAUSE HE THOUGHT IT WAS FOR THE BEST?????!!!!!! 🫠🥵🥵 LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FVCK🤯🤬 THAT’S NOT EVEN A GOOD REASON AT ALL…. CAN YOU GUYS SEE MY FRUSTRATION ABOUT THIS WHOLE THING???! 😖😖 AUTHOR STOP WITH THIS NONSENSE BULLSH*T BECAUSE IT’S NOT EVEN OKAY!!!! IT’S SO STUPID😓 WHAT KIND OF A ROMANCE IS THIS 🥵🥵
3. When the heroine push the hero away, even when he texts her and calls her, she didn’t answered. She only answer when she’s horny and drunk. Not only i have to read a stupid heroine, i have to read a alcoholic and idiotic woman character ever.
4. The heroine and hero both is stupid. But the heroine is way too stupid. When the heroine didn’t text the hero, the hero didn’t text her for weeks as well. If something important comes up, then he will text her or come to see her. LIKE BACK IN FORTH THESE TWO PLAY THEIR RELATIONSHIP LIKE CHILDREN OR WORST THAN CHILDREN. My eyes was burning when i read “six weeks later, two weeks later, three weeks later”. I’m trying to enjoy this book but it was hard when annoying things like this keeps happening🥵😓
5. The heroine always says to the hero when they have s3x for the first time, she says THIS IS ONLY A HOOKUP. When the hero says no and then continue to says no because this is permanent to him, she always say that. She continued to say that until the end of the book. When the hero always make sure to her that this is real. I don’t know how many times the heroine will heal from her stupid brain because she never believe what he said. Not because the hero is doing something bad so she doesn’t believe him, but her stupid brain and stupid POV is refused to believe him for no reasons 🥵😑💀
6. I have to read chapters of the heroine still thinking about the OM, talking about their time together and her love for him. While that connects the story i understand that, but it just annoying… like start the book with the couple already and no contacts with their past partners. not with this character still have strong feelings for someone else in the past.
The story begins with the heroine is driving with her husband and they got into a accident. Her husband died and the heroine hear a sound. A sound of a man that is willing to help her out of the car and save her life. The man did save her life and brought her to the hospital. The heroine was not badly injured tho. When the heroine woke up, she only remembered her late husband died in front of her in the accident and now she’s a widow. The hero is the one who saved the heroine. When the hero saved the heroine, he immediately pursue the heroine real this time and stalk her everywhere she goes and have guards with her as well. The hero said that finally she can be with him, because the heroine have been wanting her for years. Like seven years. He first saw her at a party then have s3x with her but because it was a dark spot when they have s3x, the hero knows who she is but unfortunately the heroine doesn’t know who he is. The heroine even thought that was her late husband when it was not. And also her late husband even lied to her that it was him, when it reality it was not him. It was the hero… The hero let the heroine be with the OM because he thought it was the best but also still wanting her after all these years… THE WHOLE STORY IT’S A DARK ROMANCE BUT TO BE HONEST WITH YOU ALL. THIS NEW ROMANCE FROM THIS AUTHOR GAVE ME A HEADACHE 😓

Cause her POV is honestly blows my mind, it made me want to choke her😡 Many times the heroine likes to gaslighting the hero, lies to him about her feelings.

Because when the couple meet, the first word from the heroine is always mean things even when the hero didn’t say anything yet. And the hero always says hot and romantic things to her but the heroine yet again always push him away. Her words are always harmful and disgusting. I sometimes think she doesn’t work her brain properly🫠 The romance and chemistry, you can feel it when you read their intimate moment. But when it’s over, it’s mean words again from the hero. And throughout this first book, the heroine is like that. Read it so you can believe me. So for me personally their romance is low cause of how many negativity comes from the heroine… Like i get that she’s going through some stuff like grieving about her late husband, but that doesn’t make you a sh*tty person to a good guy.
And also the saddest part is that THERE IS NO DINNER DATE. OR GOING ON A DATE IN GENERAL. Damn. Even in the wynter and basilio story, they have a date even just for couple of nights but they still go. And why this one doesn’t have that? How can I feel the chemistry?! Huh? 😑💀🥵

Quienes siguen mis reseñas notarán que el dark romance sube varios puntos, para mi, cuando la protagonista femenina tiene algo más de sustancia y en esta historia eso se cumple.
Tatiana Nicolaev es una heroína a la altura de cualquier mafioso sexy.
La primera parte es un tanto lenta, pero creo que es justamente lo que le da profundidad al personaje. Ese paso por el dolor del duelo creo que la vuelven creíble y compleja.
Cuando Illias Constantin aparece en escena saltan las chispas. Amé como se construye su relación, así como cada flashback.
Toda la trama me parecio miy buena. Obviamente te manda corriendo a leer la segunda parte.
Lo recomiendo para quienes aman este género.

Not only was this a mammoth page-turning start to Tatiana and Konstantin’s story, but it was one impressive introduction to the Thorns of Omertà series!
Quickly discovering the level of complexity and highly-detailed developments, there was no way their story could’ve been told in a singular novel. There was so much to grasp from this book and knowing by the end of it that there was a lot more to be revealed, I’m thrilled Winners had decided to turn their story into a duet.
I love mafia romances, but what set this one apart from others I’d read was the constant secrecy, unpredictability, and how the entire narrative was set in a massive murder-mystery backdrop. It’s an element that immediately had my mind turning, whilst the anxiety-building, sexually-charged developments between Tatiana and Konstantin amped up the overall reading experience. It’s well-paced and full of interconnecting worlds from a few of Winners’ other series’. I’m in awe of how well Winners has incorporated these various worlds and timelines of certain events into this one.
If you’re not up-to-date with her backlist of books it shouldn’t be a problem. Although there are plenty of mentions and character crossovers, it didn’t feel like I missed out on the connections and relationships amongst the cast of characters. Brief explanations are provided, more than enough to get you curious, but it also added plenty of secondary plotlines. The world-building is expansive, vivid, and held wonder.
Tatiana and Konstantin have fast become two of my favourite characters by Winners. They each have a balance of fiery determination and heart to their personalities that not only made them such likable characters, but immediately had me emotionally invested in seeing where their complicated, totally screwed-up relationship would lead.
I loved the flashbacks provided. It enriched both Tatiana’s and Konstantin’s POVs, and gradually clarified plot twists little by little with each one. There was a nice slow-burn in developments that caused this book to be unputdownable, alongside a huge cast of secondary characters that helped add dimension to both Tatiana’s and Konstantin’s characters and interesting group dynamics throughout.
There’s already a deep and twisted attraction between the two that I cannot wait to see become a full-blown love affair. It was exciting, suspenseful, at times unrequited, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading every bit of it! I would absolutely recommend this story to fellow romance readers, whether you’re an avid mafia romance lover or not. It’s not heavily gritty or violent—perfect introduction to the dark and mafia romance sub-genre for those wanting to give it a try.
Winners’ writing is solid and effortless to follow. The characters are fleshed-out and immensely engaging. I was instantly transported to her fictional world. This is a must-read. I'm ready to get started on book two!

TATIANAILLIAS NATION HOW ARE WE DOING TODAYY???
I not gonna lie but I binge-read this duet without reading the blurb or pretty much not knowing these characters. I did kinda knew about Tatiana and that her husband was killed and all, but missed, if there was, any hint about her love interest.
And now that I'm obsessed, please kindly let me know if there were any from Konstantin in the previous book, I need more of themm.
Now back to their story, this was quite a surprise! I haven't been feeling EW's books lately so I didn't have lots of expectations, and I'm being very honest. So, I love love love that I truly could get into the story.
Tatiana was such a great heroine, I love that she truly knew her worth as a queen, and she was very badass lol. I also liked that Tatiana was pretty bold about what she wanted and all, like I am sooooo tired with the typical virgin why heroine like you can be a virgin but also know what you wanted and this pretty much was Tatiana when she was younggg. Ok, ill shut up because spoilers.
Illias Konstantin was so hot, my kind of alpha, my feminism was nowhere when this man showed up. You can search on google Obsession and Illias will show up. He took it to the next level ️🔥️🔥 he literally saw Tatiana one time and became obsessed with her, my favourite stalker.
The pace of the book was pretty good! I think the duet was perfect for them, and of course this was a perfect introduction of the Thorns of Omertà series!

I guess this was an okay book for me. As for the MCs we got an obsessed hero and a grieving widow.
I honestly think that they're relationship is built only in lust. They never really had proper conversations, because most of the time they're screwing like animals. So any idea of the them falling for each other is highly unbelievable. Their setup is weird they'll fvck, won't speak for a few weeks, meet again then jump each other bones, rinse and repeat. It was so unhealthy kind of situationship.
For Ilias, he's obsessing over her for 7 years. He's possessive which is common with Ms. Winners hero characters. This was introduced as age-gap, but it still made me wonder why a grown 34 yo man would lust after a 20 yo young woman? Which he continuously to do so in the succeeding years. I'm glad that he's not an alphahole, just a bit domineering but is still enjoyable to read and not really annoying. It was never mentioned how he lived his life during those 7 years or if he was with other women. I mean I wouldn't fault him if he did, seeing as the heroine actually got married and has someone special to her.
For Tatiana, at the beginning I really feel sad for what happened to her husband. I shed some tears while reading her grieving moments in the book. But then she met Ilias and she just never click with him at first, either she's annoyed or horny around him. I think she's a pretentious princess. She always say that nobody can tell her what to do or that she's independent. But then when Ilias is around she becomes so pathetic that she'll be mad for like a minute but then will do whatever he says. It really pissed me off when she wouldn't hold her ground. She acts as if she's in control but when Ilias tell her to do something, she just followed like a puppy.
I'm also still wrapping my head with the fact the she never remembered their first night. I mean he spoke during those times, how can she not differentiate the voice of Ilias and Adrian? Also, about Ilias's perfume, he said it was specifically concocted for him and not released in the market. So how can Adrian have the same scent? Was it released afterward or did I misread that part? It was never mentioned as well how long Tatiana and Adrian were married, it was only stated she knew him since she was a child because Adrian is her brother's friend. I would love to know a bit about their marriage the good times and not just the bad part given through her flashbacks and nightmare.
Anyway, though not a cliffhanger I'm still proceeding with the final book of this duet. Maybe I'll like it more than this one.

I had a whole list of grievances as well as elements I really enjoyed and as I was getting ready to rage against the former and praise the latter, they all cancelled each other out and left me a bit apathetic.

I feel like I have it figured out and am excited to see if it pans out in the 2nd book. Sometimes, it felt like the MMC did not follow through on his convictions. Did I ever think this universe could get better? Yes. Yes, I did. Did Ilias and Tatiana meet my expectations? Also, yes.
Their banter is so amazing! Tatiana is a sassy queen... as she should. She was happily married to Adrian, her brother's best friend and man she's been in love with since forever. But things began to change. Things that were thrown into a deeper mess when after a fatal accident, she finds that her husband had more ghosts in his closet than expected. When I tell you, I can no longer stand this man. I had loved him for her in The Den of Sin when he was introduced. But now, I just roll my eyes when he's mentioned, lmao....
But Ilias Konstantin stole my heart when he was introduced in Sasha's book. This man is something else. He's as unhinged as Tatiana needs with her defiant attitude. He meets her halfway every time, even when he wants her to walk all the way to him and get on her knees 👀 I can't believe she forgot their history together... well, exactly, I can give her a pass. She didn't know, but ma'am, you had all that before you even knew you had it, lol

Llegamos a una historia demasiado esperada entender qué pasó con Tatiana puesto que en la saga de Belles & Mobsters pudimos tener ciertos astibos de la misma. Decir que disfrute esta historia es decir poco creo que la autora se ha superado cada vez más en sus libros y Tatiana e Ilias me dejaron con el corazón ♥️ apretadito disfrute mucho ir entendiendo de su dinámica y que el libro tuviese su dosis de misterio fue la guinda del pastel.

This book was totally plot and character driven. The main and side characters were of equal importance and played their parts in the story. Tatiana & Illias were so perfect together! The longing he felt for her all while she was unaware of the past they shared, provided me with the angst that I was looking for. However at times I felt that the plot overpowered the romance. Konstantin kept saying that he's going to soon make Tatiana his but unfortunately that took a very long time. Regardless, I am going to jump straight into the next book to see how it ends.

This book was so good this one was so emotional when Tatiana was drowning in her grief I could literally feel it the closing in the panic the loneliness this author did a amazing job with writing this story I cried I could literally feel the emotions Tatiana was going through it felt like it was happening to me and that is good writing when a author has the ability to make you feel so much with her words I am literally in awe this story definitely has me up in all my feels! And Konstantin I’m swooning so hard over him right now!

Not having read any other books by the author before, I didn’t know what to expect. Needless to say, Winners did not disappoint at all. As the first book in the Thorns of Omertà Duet Series, Thorns of Lust is a steamy mafia romance filled with secrecy, revenge and twists to keep you reading for more.
At the beginning of the story we get to meet, Tatiana Nikolaev, who is with her husband as they are being chased outside the city by a strange car. In her world, she is aware of the risks that come with being park of a powerful mafia family. But not even her husband could protect her form the shooting chase and witnesses his death in the process. Adrian was her everything, having grown up together, it’s clear how they were meant to be together. Tatiana vows to find out who killed her husband, but the sooner she starts to look into their past, the sooner she realizes that she was deceived. Meanwhile, there is another man who is very much interesting in what Adrian was up to before his death and won’t stop at nothing until he makes Tatiana his.
Winners delivers a great start to the duet, from the well-written story to the duel POV, Thorns of Lust had me hooked from beginning to end. We have two characters who have been through so much growing up, they are aware of the consequences that come with growing up in the mafia world. No one is truly protected and that is exactly what causes chaos among different mafia families. Tatiana is thrust into the mess without having any idea that behind the scenes Illias Konstantin, a leader of a very powerful mafia family would be protecting her at all costs. He’s been captivated by Tatiana for a very long time and now is his chance to make her his before it’s too late. There is so much to the story that I truly enjoyed reading, though the story does end on a cliffhanger, I cannot wait to read what happens next. I would highly recommend checking out the story if you love a good mafia romance! :)

Over the past two years, I have become a dedicated fan of Eva Winners and this duet proved why. Tatiana and Illias were both intriguing characters and I loved diving into their mindsets as we get both POVs in this duet. The plot was well-developed, exciting and addicting. My heart sped as I sat perched on the edge of my seat from the angst and suspense. The character and world development were spot on. So much takes place with a complicated plot but not overly detailed. Mrs. Winners' creative talent weaved a story I didn't want to put down for even a minute. I loved the main characters as well as side characters. Boredom never came into play for me which had me happy in the best of ways. Many aspects of the plot were unpredictable. I am utterly devoted to this new series and I am so glad that book two is already available and I am diving in there next. If you love dark romance or mafia romance or the combination of both, then I highly recommend this read. There are significant trigger warnings so please educate yourself. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

This book was amazing!!!!! I loved it so much. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m so happy I stumbled into her amazing world. The writing was beautiful it touched me heart and the storyline was phenomenal everything about this book was chef’s kiss.
Konstantin is hella intense and i loved him. I loved how utterly obsessed he was with Tatiana how he’d do anything for her. I loved how his relationship with Tatiana progressed it was wholesome to see them together.
Tatiana has my heart i want to hive her an hug she didn’t deserve what she went through and i hate (that person ifykyk) so much I wanted to kill them. I loved her character so much she was amazing. I enjoyed watching her defy Konstantin every chance she got.
The side characters were amazing i loved her brothers especially Sasha and I can’t wait for the nest books in the series especially Amon this man intrigued me and i want his book so badly. This was an incredible read and I couldn’t wait to start book 2 because this one ended on a cliffhanger.

I've been anxiously awaiting this new series by Ms. Winners, and it's everything I hoped for so far! We finally get the sassy Tatiana's book! She's been mourning the death of her husband Adrian and sunk into a haze of alcohol to cope. Adrian had his hand in blackmailing some of the deadliest men alive, including Pakhan Konstantin. He's also part of a secret organization that are all being threatened by these secrets, and the only person alive with any answers may be Tatiana. Without giving too much away, Tatiana and Konstantin's past are tied together more than anyone knows, and while Tatiana may not remember, they've met before, but this time Konstantin is playing for forever.
When I read Sasha's book I was unsure I'd love Tatiana. But Ms. Winners is full of surprises and convinced me that this Russian princess is worthy of Konstantin. Konstantin has a lot of my favorite characteristics in the mafia world...he's dark, cold with a sweet spot for his woman, madly in love and possessive of her and protective at all cost. Tatiana is fierce and a fighter clawing her way out of grief only to find more secrets and darkness. She has her vices and moments where the bitterness becomes seemingly insurmountable but that inner survivor prevails. I found her more empathetic in her journey and loved her loyalty to her loved ones. The banter and steam these two shared was every bit as feisty as these characters. I'm so excited for the second part of this duet and can easily see why this turned into a duet instead of a standalone.

This was a DNF for me. I kept waiting for action or spice and it just didn’t come. Listening to Tatiana repetitively talk about how she would never recover from her husbands death without there being any development of the husband AND listening to Konstantine’s obsession over her when she didn’t even know he existed was too much. And dragged out way longer than I expected. Not to mention the billion characters I couldn’t keep straight (though I admittedly wasn’t trying too hard). Either way, it wasn’t for me.

This book follows Tatianna and Illias and I was patiently waiting for this after reading the majority of Eva’s backlist. This follows the epic events of Tatianna story in previous book. The obsession Illias has with Tatianna spans years and he would wait forever for her. I love their love. This has so many tropes I love such as age gap, mafia, enemies to lovers, and more. This is a duet and left off on a cliffhanger but thankfully book 2 will be out the next day. I cannot recommend this enough. I’m obsessed with her writing and the fast paced mix of smut and plot. It’s perfection. Read this!!!

Thorns of Lust by Eva Winners was absolutely magnificent! I have been waiting for Tatiana's book for a very long time, and now that I have my hands on it; I haven't been able to put it down. I absolutely love the first book, and I'm so excited to start the next one. This author never disappoints, and each book just gets better and better. Fantastic job, Eva!

Illias is the boss and everyone knows it, but he would burn the world down for Tatiana, and I really appreciate that in a man.
