Rate this book
In the year 1842, in the small town of Griffin's Cross in County Clare, Ireland, Dr. Samuel Erasmus witnesses the decline of his beloved wife after suffering the terrible loss of their young daughter, and endeavours upon a dark path to restore what they have lost. Aided by his friend and colleague Dr. Michael Ward, Samuel becomes acutely aware of the consequences of his actions as scientific logic and reason are breached, and the walls of sanity begin to break down.

Inspired by the works of Mary Shelley and Howard Phillips Lovecraft, Broken is a story of what happens when that one light in the darkness, the one most valued, is snuffed out, and how far a man will go in order to re-ignite that flame.
