Rated a 'BEST BOOK'.
Like oil and water, Severus and Cassie just don’t mix.
At least, that was Cassie’s initial thought about the six-foot tall, broad-shouldered giant standing in her doorway. She’s already dealt with far too many men eager to take charge of her life and her body. She doesn’t like being told what to do or how to do it by anyone. This includes the gorgeous eye-candy and self-proclaimed bodyguard who seems insistent in hanging around. From the get go, Severus really pushes her buttons. Yet, despite how annoying he is, she can’t help the subtle reactions her body begins to have around him. Little by little, she notices the other things about Severus that reawakens a dormant desire deep within her. All of a sudden, Cassie realizes she rather likes having a big, brawny man watching over her. His interest in her carnal needs is fine by her as well, especially when he’s so good at pleasing them.
Though he likes his women with a little more padding, Severus can’t help the instant attraction he feels for the sassy spit-fire, wagging her finger in his face without an ounce of fear or hesitation. Everything about her drives him crazy, including the way she manages to attract trouble. He doesn’t know if he should throttle or kiss her. The thought that she might be a compatible mate seems ridiculous and downright terrifying to him. He doesn’t want the heartache of losing another important woman in his life. While he has little difficulty in finding enough willing sex-partners to share his bed, he doesn’t want any of them to share his heart. Not until Cassie. Despite his attempts to thwart the growing suspicion that she just might be his perfect mate, Severus soon realizes she’s too important to him to lose.
Some things just get better and better, especially when it comes to Celeste Prater’s Fueled by Lust series. Book one was a lot of fun to read, so when I saw she’d written a second book based on a couple of characters I’d met in the first installment, I requested to read it without hesitance. From the first page, my eyeballs remained glued to my iPad, my attention totally focused on the plot unfolding before me. I literally read the entire book in one day. I just couldn’t put it down. The characters are dynamic together, the perfect blend of alpha male and sassy female. There’s so much going on that you don’t even notice the plot twist sneaking up from the sidelines. I was left with my mouth hanging open at the climax of the story. The developing relationship between Cassie and Severus, the inclusion of previous characters from book one, and the introduction of new challenges to this sexy race of he-man aliens all culminate into a fantastic tale that left me wanting more. Lo and behold, after a little snooping on the internet, I see Ms. Prater has seen fit to grace us with an upcoming book 3! So now I’m left chomping at the bit and rubbing my little paws together in eager anticipation of what I expect to be another fabulous read.
Fueled by lust: Severus, is a non-stop hoot and a hell of an exciting story. Cassie’s snarky attitude had me laughing my buns off. I fell in love with her right from the start. And Severus is just too sexy for words. He certainly caused a spike in heart rate and gave me something new to dream about. Put them together and you’ve got another fantastic story by Celeste Prater whose hunky aliens are simply out of this world. Oh, and Ms. Prater, if you need a short blonde chic who loves bulging muscles and hairy chests to play the heroine in a fourth installment, I’ll gladly take the part.

Severus is the right hand man to Drusus, prince of the Insedi. Lina is Drusus' mate and Cassie's best friend. When Cassie finds herself at the centre of a corporate spying situation, it stands to reason that Severus will help her, just as he has been since Lina and Drusus were mated.
It was very obvious from Drusus' book, that Cassie and Severus would get together. It was not so obvious the path it would take. Cassie feels she isnt good enough for Severus, and vice versa. Cassie is a say-it-as-it-is kinda gal, and I loved her mouth. Severus is a little more laid back the Drusus and he and Cassie are well matched. But neither can see it.
I liked this one better than Drusus, its wittier, sharper, sexier, but much less sex too, if that makes any sense! It has some surprises, namely certain characters that are not nice in the first book! It has some very funny scenes with all four main characters, and the scene when they are talking about contractions?? had me in stitches! The twist at the end I did not see coming either.
All in all, a smoother, sexier, better book than Drusus, and I give it 4.5 stars! creeping up with each book. Its alos longer by 80 odd pages!
Next up, Cato, the IT guy with ever changing hair colour!

This can be a stand alone, but it would be so much better reading the first one. With that being said I loved it as much as I did the first one.
Cassie – just a bundle of sassy and so adorable. She gives Severus a run for his money, always keeping him a bit off balance. Her best friend Lina, is dating a hunk of a man leads a lot of other drool worth men. One of those men happen to be named Severus.
Severus – a other-world bodyguard of a Drusus(a Prince). A Escort and a dancer its where he and others like him receive their energy. From the lust of others. (Imagine that – smiles)
Severus - has watched his Prince and other men lose themselves to their mates, or has watched others lose themselves finding out their mate belonged to someone else. So Severus has sworn off the mating ritual and took of the mating Torque that would tell him if he is close to his mate. To Severus he is better off without a mate.... or so he thinks.
Cassie – just dumped her recent boyfriend for his lack of knowing her or trying to get to know her among other things. When she meets Severus sparks fly, but she thinks its fueled by her dislike of the arrogant, bossy sexy behemoth of a man. Besides she isn’t his type, and she doesn’t want to get into a relationship... no no she doesn’t.. right?
Both the flow of the story along with the personalities of the characters, worked very well together. The talent of the writer to bring together a bit of danger, mystery to solve... along with passion and some scenes that are shower worthy :) just makes for a amazing story to read. I cant wait to see what Ms Prater has in store next. So grab this book along with your favorite drink, sit back and take a trip with Serverus and Cassie. Enjoy!!

I am LOVING this Fueled by Lust series. Drusus started off with a bang (quite literally), Severus has more of a gentle build up. This is because Cassie and Severus have already met and spent some time together, thereby negating the need for a quick pesky 'get-to-know-you' session. Cassie is already attracted to Severus although she's been trying to put him off as she thinks he is too good for her. Severus already knows that Cassie is something special but refuses to think that it could be anything else and he's too damn stubborn to put his necklace on. Yeesh, that man had me shouting at my kindle!
Cassie has been through the mill and found a wonderful and true friend in Lina, the likes of which you look after and treasure, if you're smart which Cassie is. Seeing Lina with Drusus makes Cassie yearn for the same thing but is convinced that with all the baggage she carries no one will be good enough - or too good.
I won't give away any spoilers but I will say this - one thing I really loved about this story was Marcus. He is Cassie's ex-boyfriend, the one she mentioned at the beginning of Drusus. He could have been a real 'nasty' character but instead Celeste turned him into a likeable, heartfelt hero who, although I wanted Severus and Cassie to be together, I now want Marcus to get his HEA too.
This book has everything you could wish for - amazing characters, wit and humour all the way through, a 'baddie' that you may or may not see coming but even if you do, you won't care as the story is that good, and steamy scenes that are "out of this world" (sorry, I couldn't resist!).
Book 1 was brilliant and I really enjoyed it. Book 2 stepped up to the bar, ordered a double and raised it. I can't wait for Cato's story.

It’s SOOO GOOD!!! Again, once I started, I couldn’t stop reading. It’s just too good to stop.
In Fueled by Lust: Severus you get the back story of how these hunks came to be in Austin, TX, and how they discovered the art of dance ;).
Severus’s story is a little slower growing than his Prince’s, but it is definitely not lacking a damn thing. The first 10 or so chapters are really focused on getting to know who Severus and Cassie are with just a few suspicious happenings mixed in. Severus and Cassie both have fears that are real, and extremely hard to overcome. I can relate to both of their fears, and understand their hesitancy at trusting another person with their heart. I love the slow build in the drama and suspense, and seeing how Severus and Cassie both handle each situation. Most of the time, as in 95% of the time, I can tell you exactly how the suspense in a story will play out, I couldn’t with this one. Even when I read it a second time, I was so engrossed in the story, I didn’t see it coming. I was pretty shocked at how well rounded this story is, that even though I was looking for something the second time, I didn’t see it.
Cassie is so real to me. I have previously described myself as having a steel fortress surrounding me, so that I couldn’t be hurt by others and the world around me. To see a character written with the same “defensive strategy” is so cool. I love when she finally lets her wall fall, and pretty much becomes a stronger woman. I was rooting for this because I know how much better it feels to be un-afraid to love someone, and to allow them to show you their love in return. Ms. Prater has definitely earned this 5 star rating for Fueled by Lust: Severus.

What can I say except that book 2 is way better than book 1. What's not to love. A good story that moves at a good pace, a H/h who are likeable (okay, the Hero is awesome) with a few twists and turns thrown in. Sexy, gorgeous men with hard bodies that will leave you short of breath as the sex is once again off-the-charts scorching hot! Unlike book 1, this time it's days before the protagonists have sex for the first time. However, once they do, it's never-ending sex, sex, sex. My one issue with the novel - besides them having sex without a condom because they trust each other and are clean (cue eye roll) - the villain (or bad guy if you will) was not evil enough. I love a good, dirty, evil villain. But hey, that's me.
I'm already looking forward to book 3 and here's hoping that we read Cato's story next.

Very good
I love how they took time to get to know each other before all the action started. Severus is sweet and loving. I like how she makes him laugh. They had sorrows and disappointment in their lives. I can't air for the next one

If you thought the first book in the series was hot.. Wait till you read this one! This book has it all!! My lusthardness continues to grow!! I'm super excited for any future sequels!!! :-D
