Lucia Kuhl is the author of thirty midlife paranormal cozy mysteries. She believes every story needs at least one ghost, maybe a witch, or possibly an angel. A pet is always good. Talking forest animals are even better. Oh, and a hint of romance while headstrong, opinionated characters mingle.

A few of her women sleuths carry guns. Some only need magic. And her characters never miss a chance to dance. Lucia enjoys exploring tough subjects and lighting them in humorous ways to lessen the sting while showcasing their root issues. Her books contain no sex, strong violence, or profanity.

Love this series!

I love BMC! I want my own cats to be able to talk to me and tell me what the want. Does he have a job opening? Can I live with him and be hos owner, caretaker and biggest fan? He needs a new owner and I love Maine Coons. He is very clever and these stories are action packed. I like how he gets himself out of situations and helps others. Looking forward to more.

For the last several years, my coworker has given me a book about a cat that can talk or type or in some way communicate with their humans. This is this year’s book. And it is honestly just silly. Well, as silly as a book with domestic abuse and murder can be.
BMC (Big Maine Coon) is a psychic talking cat. His Human Gertrude passed away and he has been living with her daughter Amelda. Amelda left The Mansion where BMC had a gym and a team of brushers and cuddlers b/c Gertrude’s ghost kept nagging her. Amelda is also psychic and a witch. BMC is determined to protect her, especially after he failed Gertrude. So when Amelda goes missing, he HAS to find her. Along the way he picks up a pug as a companion and makes friends with Jack the Alley Cat, all the way disparaging humans and their silly ways.
This book is pretty much what you think it is. It was a super quick read. There are more in the series but I don’t see myself picking them up. I do imagine this author is someone like me who wanted to write a book ,but actually went for it so kudos to her for that. But it was definitely not Shakespeare. 😊

Very cute coz mystery read. A talking cat names BMC which stands for Big Maine Coon. His human died and her daughter takes him from his beautiful mansion and move to a small town way across the world he thinks. Now the daughter is his new human she seems to really love and he promise her mothers ghost that he would take care of her. Not a easy job she has a horrible boyfriend and BMC tried to warn as did her neighbors but she would not listen. So yes this book has some paranormal mystery in it too. Enjoyed it very much. One good thing about moving to a small town was meeting new friends BMC meets Bugsy who is a Pug and BMC's new best friend, and he meets Jack he is a street cat.

This book was uneven. I considered it a possible DNF, but I'm too stubborn. Apparently paranormal cozy mystery is a genre. It seems oddly specific. So, about 2/3 of the way through the book, it picked up. BMC (Big Maine Coon) became a more fully developed character, and no surprise, I can't resist a feline narrator. I still think the place names were pretty stupid and made it feel more contrived than a mysterious magic user living secretly in our midst. I am considering reading more books in the series.

Rather Silly Story

This was a Silly story about a talking psychic cat. BMC the cat in this Story comes across with the type of additude most people feel represents a cat. I know cosy Mysteries are supposed to be funny and cute, but parts of this book were just dumb.

Not my normal genre, and tbh picked it up to read cause it filled out a reading bingo challenge. The storyline was ok, if not a little different, I would like it better if I was a cat person or maybe 13 years old. That being said, I gave it 3 stars to be fair.

I, strangely enjoyed this book. I am not one that likes animal MC's, but the way this book was written kept my attention and I enjoyed the story. Already ordered the second book in the series. Recommend reading this book.

the humans are dying. But, it's the wrong ones, isn't it??? The cats will really have to work to figure things out, won't they??? I enjoyed this story and recommended the book.

Pets and paranormal

Ms. Kuhl's combination of physics, pets and murder is an interesting one. The pets have personalities and the spirits bicker. It's a fun read

For some reason I thought a story from the perspective of a psychic talking Maine Coon cat would be entertaining. I was wrong.

Was interesting but let me just tell you by the middle I was sick and tired of Amelda really hate her as a character all she does is cry and feels sorry for her bad decisions! BMC deserves someone who’s wonderful and appreciative and powerful and most of all smart and mature!
