A little outdated and a little wordy at times, but some solid information overall. I'm ready to take baby abroad.

Attention Traveling Parents:
This is the absolute BEST travel resource that I have found for parents of young children. While other books have skimpy information and resources, this book has an abundance!

The author details so many bits of information and advice/tips for traveling with young children (by car, plane, train and boat) that I can hardly do it justice. I was amazed by the amount of airline information contained in this book. The author includes a chart that outlines which airlines offer discounted fees for young children, which offer changing tables and infant food, bassinets and other perks.

There was a TON of information about traveling abroad with children (the author has been to virtually every continent with her young kids, so has a lot of tips!)-- how to get passports, what shots will be needed, and even information on culture (be prepared to have your kids touched by every stranger in Asia).

Some other highlights I have been impressed with are: rental equipment information and website URLs, break-down on different types of travel strollers available, packing lists and carry-on advice, a list of companies that will deliver baby supplies to your destination so that you can pack lighter, info on camping with kids, product/gear list for travelers, baby-proofing recommendations/tips for hotel rooms, lists of kid-friendly vacations and resorts, websites and information for health-related and safety concerns for people traveling abroad--- there are also many other great things, but I cannot list them all!

Again, this is a WONDERFUL travel resource that I would recommend to all parents who are considering taking their young children on vacation. This is also the first travel book I have read that contains some quality writing and not just lists... so it is fun to read, too!

If you're undecided on whether to travel with your wee one, this book will try to talk you into it. I was already determined to do so, but I nervous about the specifics of plane and car travel. The book had a lot of suggestions and anecdotal reports from the author's experience that helped me previsualize the trip. I'm actually traveling with baby as I write this from my hotel room. I'm glad I read the book, so there's your three stars right there.

My sister in law wrote this book and I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone with kids. She has traveled the world with my brother and their two kids (due to pop literally any moment with the third) and has tons of ways to make traveling with kids a pleasant experience instead of a nightmare. Plus, she's funny.

We'll have to wait until after my first trip with baby to see how good this book really is, but so far I think the book is great. Lots of detail and good tips.

Finally! A good book on traveling with babies! Most books assume you have never traveled before. This one had some really good tips.
