deluded: a guide to situationships

Rate this book
‘there is a certain skill in delusion.

in burying your head into the sand,

or into the shoulder of whoever will let you.

it might not be art,

but it is damn near close-

to take a few, spared words as gospel promises

and an unbothered body as a lover.

if that is not talent,

i do not know what is.’

an unfortunate story of love, oranges, delusion and hatred.

An unfortunate story of love, oranges, delusion and hatred.

I’m obsessed with this book and I’m obsessed with Isabella 🙈❤️
It’s everything to me!! Every word I was captivated. I felt everything! What I felt I can’t even put into words. It’s written in the most beautiful way, I want to scream from the rooftops!! If you love poetry as much as me I would highly recommend reading anything written by Isabella Dorta but this was unforgettable… again to me anyways😍🤭

“pick me apart
and show how the light shines through me.
you have stretched me
too thin.

i am ruined by you
and i bet you’re damn proud of it.”

i should’ve done a review sooner as i got the signed copy a few weeks ago but i had to take time to soak in every inch of this book. it did not disappoint. just wow. isabella your writing is a literal masterpiece, if anyone can understand you through writing it’s her. i cant wait for the books to come. 💕

When I read Isabella’s poetry, I swoon. Her work is a masterful representation of talent combined with a pure heart. deluded is, by far, my favourite of hers - so far. The imagery conveyed within these pages frames an intimate atmosphere that I just adored. Speaking of love with passion, completely and wholly unapologetically. Truly, Isabella is an inspiration to my own work and is a powerful voice in this generation.

I have been with Isabella for since she started in 2021, and I have always loved her poetry. This book is probably one of my favorites she has written, and I loved it so so much

I cannot wait to see what else she writes in the upcoming years <33

Devastatingly, heartbreakingly, wonderfully beautiful book that made me cry, made me feel empowered, made me feel seen, and showed me a glimmer of hope that I’ve not experienced in some time.

Cannot recommend Isabella Dorta enough, whether you are a typical poetry fan or not. Simply excellent.
