In the beginning of the story you get to meet Kylie and her son Jamie, along with Devin, which explains to you what's all goin on there. Kylie and Devin have been in love with each other FOREVER, but neither one wanna act on it for various reasons. When sparks start to fly, Jamie's real daddy Allen rolls into town looking to get back into their lives. However, Devin doesn't care he wants Kylie and Jamie as his own and is willing to do whatever it takes to get them back. As the story progresses you get to see how twisted Allen really is and what he really wants from Kylie.

Dreams is now one of my favorite books, as a person who pretty much only reads books with elements of fantasy, this is saying a lot. I loved the interactions between all of the characters, there was so much fun and wit being thrown around it really helped to flesh out the story. Kylie was definitely my kinda girl, she was sweet and responsible, but had that strong wild streak. She was able to be an awesome mom even after everything that had happened to her. Devin as the main hero was wonderful, he really is the ideal alpha, he's sweet and attentive, but possessive like a Bear:P! You get to meet some of Devin's brothers and how big of a part they play in our heroines life. The overall feeling of family was a wonderful undertone for this story, it really shows how people come together. Allen is definitely the villain, and he is probably the most evil character I've ever read about. Mrs. Morgan does a fabulous job playin with your emotions as you read about these characters, because they feel so real, it's incredible!

Yes, there is some insanely hot sex scenes in this book, I give you an A+ for creativity. It's definitely 18+ story though.

This story is more than just about some hot sex, it shows how cruel and twisted some people can be, but how strong and resilient the human mind is, specially when your so loved. It has an awesome plot with plenty of twists that'll leave you surprised and horrified as you read. As Savannah Morgans first book, I was blown outta the water, the writing in Dreams was definitely above anything I would suspect a new writer to achieve.

Years before, young Kylie was left high and dry by her self-absorbed boyfriend, Allen, pregnant, alone and scared. Enter her knight in shining armor, Allen’s older brother, Devin. No matter what, Devin was her rock, her savior, her protector and best friend, asking nothing in return. Or was he hiding his own feelings in favor of keeping Kylie and her son, Jamie safe? Devin was the only father-figure Jamie has known or wants.

As Kylie and Devin hide their true feelings, oblivious to everyone else sees, Allen has returned, acting as if he and Kylie can just pick up where he dumped her and move on. Allen is pure evil, or is he? It seems that the innocence of youth in Jamie nails the problem, states the solution and that is that. Kylie and Devin should marry and maybe Allen would just go away.
Too bad life isn’t that simple and adults can’t be that forthright and honest. So many webs could be unwoven, so many hearts could be given a second chance…dreams, erotic and romantic could come true instead of requiring a morning cold shower.

The chemistry between Devin and Kylie is hot enough to melt steel! I enjoyed "Dreams" very much and would easily give it 4.5 stars. The story is very detailed, and Savannah wove the intricate structure of this multilayered story with grace and precision.

I very much enjoyed the opening sequence. I was pleased that it was the male lead, Devin, who was yearning, aching and in general a hot mess of want and desire. But Savannah constructed her tale in such a way that we soon learn it's much, much more than just want and desire. Kylie, the female lead, is also a hot mess of want and desire and plagued by dreams. But these two have history together and separate that make their meeting these wants and desires a bit tricky.

The family histories and connection are complicated, but Savannah doesn't loose the reader in the complicated family tree. There were a lot of characters to keep up with but they all contributed to this story in some form or fashion and leave the reader wanting to know more about them. I am on the look out for many more Sapphire Springs novels.

This book contained many dark elements which I love in a good romance. However, the dark elements do not overshadow the goodness and common decency at the core of most of the leading characters. There is, of course, the happy ending I so treasure in romance novels. But the path to the HEA is filled with struggle, danger, mystery and misunderstanding.

The erotic content of this novel Sizzles... No it Flames white hot! Savannah writes inventive and scorching hot sex scenes. While Devin is certainly an Alpha male who leads the way in and out of the bedroom, Kylie is no one's door mat despite her willingness to follow her lover's sexual lead.

Kylie & Devin are a match. She's sassy and his is a domineering bad ass!! I loved the twist and turns of this story. This is a must read. Kylie endured much in her young life, a single mother to a precocious boy, Jamie. The evil she endured in the hands of the biological father made me cry. I clapped and laughed when she was rescued by her hero and once in a life time love, Devin Blackthorn. I highly recommend this book. I couldn't put it down. I am looking forward to the next installment

This isn’t my usual fare of reading. I’m more of a paranormal junkie so that probably influenced my enjoyment of this book. For the first part of the book, I wasn’t feeling it. It started off slow, and stayed too long inside the main characters heads. They went back and forth about how much they wanted each other, but why it wouldn’t work. I have to admit, I rolled my eyes a bit, and wanted to smack both of them upside the head. How the other townsfolk didn’t slap them, I have no idea since it would see there were bets placed on their relationship or lack thereof. Guess everyone knew how hot they were for each other except Devin and Kylie.
I’m not sure how I felt about Devin. On one hand, he was super sweet and attentive. On the other hand, way too possessive and dominating. But hey, Kylie loved it, so who am I to disagree? Kylie kind of irked me. She was so damn wishy-washy. I get that she didn’t want to dredge up bad memories, and hoped Allen would just disappear, however, she kept going back and forth about telling Devin everything. One minute she was on board with it all, the other minute, she couldn’t possibly tell him. Damn glad to see her finally grow a backbone, though.
There was a fair bit of angst and not enough action for my tastes. Again, it’s the type of book I’m used to. The sex… um, wow! I’m surprised my kindle didn’t catch fire because it was scorching. My eyebrows raised quite a few times. If Ms. Morgan wrote only erotica, I’d be standing in line to read that.
The middle part of the book had quite a bit of action, and I was glued to my kindle. My poor kid only had half my attention while we played Minecraft. Okay, I lied, he had like maybe an eighth of my attention. ;)
Overall, there was enough to make me curious for the next book.

this started out really slow but thats because savannah puts a lot of detail in her work. she makes sure you get the back story before all the action really begins, i simply loved this book. there are plenty of hot sweaty sexy scenes and also scenes that make your jaw drop. savannah created a great storyline and i cant wait to see what she has in store for book 2

This is basically a second chance at love romance story. Devin and Kylie have known each other for years, but their great friendship was a barrier to Devin acknowledging his true feelings for her. For over ten years, Devin helped Kylie raise his brother’s son Jamie. Being a young single mother, Kylie was grateful for the support Devin had given her over the years; however, she wanted more than just friendship with him. Having tried her hand at flirting with him, she gave up on her dream of them ever having more. Devin finally gets his head out of his ass, and makes his move, hoping that it’s not too late. What the two find is that they have off the charts chemistry in the bedroom. Devin likes to be in charge, and what alpha male doesn’t, while Kylie is able to explore her desires for the first time in her life. The two are finding their path to happiness and ever after, but they have some major road bumps along the way. The biggest hurdle they have to face is the return of Allen, Devin’s brother, and Kylie’s former flame. With his return, Kylie is forced to face the demons of her past before Allen ruins her future as well.

I had heard the premise before reading the book, so I had some idea of what the story would be about. I was reading along, thinking it would have more of a contemporary feel to it, and then BAM! Hot sexy times galore! Crazy curve-balls were thrown as I continued reading. The book turned out to be nothing like I expected, but in the best way. I thought it started out a bit slow, and then all of a sudden it was suspense and action at every turn. Not a lot of authors can surprise me like this, so I was very happy to continue reading. The story kept you guessing until the very end.

I really enjoyed the build up of the relationship between Kylie and Devin. Not just the sex, though that was hot, but the intimacy they shared on an emotional level. I love stories where a man or woman steps in to take care of someone else’s biological child, and then come to see them as their own. I come from a large blended family so I can truly appreciate that. Though it hurt my heart to hear about Kylie’s past, I was impressed with the big reveal and the way that Devin supported her as she relived it. He truly is a man who knows how to protect his woman.

The relationship between mother and son was a very prevalent theme in this story. Not just with Kylie and Jamie, but for Devin and Allen and their mother. This book showed the good, bad and the ugly of mother-son bonds and really addressed the importance of family and loyalty. Though their family was a bit crazy and mixed up, they were there for one another when it counted.

Likes: well-developed characters, outstanding chemistry, lots of intrigue, unexpected surprises, family loyalty, excellent series set up, and a well-developed plot line
Dislikes: Editing issues were a little bit of a problem, but not as big of a deal for a debut novel. My biggest dislikes were some of the sex scene word choices. For example: globes, pet, petting, mound, denuded, feminine folds, creamy moisture, etc. The next problem was the repetition of some of the words. Some of the family members were a bit confusing to remember how they were related. Lastly, in the beginning there is a lot of talk of “the voice” inside Devin’s head. It got a bit annoying after a bit.
Overall, I thought this book was well written and interesting. There were plenty of things going on in the background to set this up a series. With all the siblings, this series could go on for a while. I highly recommend this book, and I commend the author on doing such a fabulous job on her debut novel. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, Secrets, that releases later this month.

I am loving the very complicated Blackthorn clan, and extended family. Dreams, the first book in the Sapphire Springs novels, introduces us to Devin and Kylie, and her son Jamie. Kylie had Jamie at a very young age and, when the father Allen Blackthorn skipped town, Devin, Allen's older brother, stepped up to the plate and, for all intents and purposes, became Jamie's father. Cognizant of the age difference, Devin fought his attraction to Kylie and, for one reason or another, has been fighting it for the last ten years. Devin's erotic dreams of Kylie are heating up to the point where he absolutely has to make them a reality. Kylie, busy raising her son and starting up her own business, assumes Devin isn't interested in her "that way", while having erotic dreams of her own about him. I weigh in with the town on this one, they both needed a swift kick in the pants. Devin, very successfully, runs Blackthorn Investigations, with his partner Cole, and has his business right across the street from Kylie's coffee shop. This story is a complicated one with family branches intertwining, but is not a difficult one to follow. When Allen, Jamie's father, arrives back in town, the story takes a decidedly dark turn, with adventure, intrigue and surprises that will keep you turning the pages late into the night. Dreams contains many hot, erotic scenes, and scenes that are definitely not suitable for the under 18 crowd. I went through a whole range of emotions while reading this novel and, at the end, was devastated to realize I had to wait for the next one, Cole's story, which isn't out yet. Wonderful start to a new series, can't wait to read more.

I bought this book after a takeover Savannah did and all the feed back I was reading from other fans was wonderful plus the teasers were HOT!! I loved how Devin stepped up to take care of Kylie and Jamie and that even though it took way too many years for them to admit their feelings and act on them he still treated them both like gold! Kylie was strong and resilient when things turned crappy, she just kept on going for Jamie. Jamie was a lil firecracker, I love that he wasn't just a cliffnote here and there. He was an active part of the book. I really wanted to kick Allen in the nuts cause seriously what a douchewaffle!! Overall I'd say this was a great book, it had everything in it that I love. Great main and supporting characters, explosive chemistry between Kylie and Devin and some humor. I love Savannah Morgan and can't for Secrets!!

From start to finish, a heavy fog of arraying emotions smother the plot's atmosphere.  There is no settling or lack of intensity in this erotic, thriller.

The execution of the prose is handled with well-defined grammar and detail. The dialogue is refined.  of there is an emotion to ride, this book provides the opportunity.

From beginning to end there is romance, lust, mystery, and action galore! This genre could easily become my next addiction, so long as it is written by Savannah Morgan. Then I could be certain of there not only being a well-executed story-line, but one that leaves me panting from the fruits of diverse intrigue.

This is a fantastic book.

I wish Sapphire Springs was a real place so I could live there; and believe me I don't like the cold. Kylie and her son Jamie lives in Sapphire Springs along with her dream man, but after a kiss in August her dream man has become an angry man. Why was he so angry with her? Would they fix the problem before she and her son get snatched away forever? Who wants to take them away and why? To get the answers read the book that turned into an unexpected surprise.

Started off a but slow with lots of background. But this is one of those books where you don't mind all the extra details. It absolutely set the lay of the land for the rest of the book. I also loved how there was so much detail about each character. You really feel as though you know everyone personally. I really enjoyed Kylie's spirit and Devins dominating personality. I can't wait for more from Savannah Morgan!!!

This was a wonderful novel about how people can love each other and not know it until it slaps them in the face. I enjoyed the way things came together for this woman and her son. There were alot of twists and turns in the story also. The book was sexually explicit, more than what I expected and more than what I like to read, but it was tastefully done. I highly recommend this book for 18 + years. I am looking forward to reading more of her work.

Dreams is a WONDERFUL book. Great story.
The Story is a little slow getting going, but if you stick with it definitely worth it. Savannah Morgan is wonderful at building up characters that you cant help but fall in love with.
We have Kylie, a very independent woman who just wants to be loved and be allowed to move past the abuse and hurt Allen put her through. Kylies son Jamie. Also needing to move on from the hurt and ghosts of the past. You cannot help but feel for 9 year old Jamie. He will pull at heart strings you never even knew you had.
Devin........ Well Devin is just Devin. You are never sure whether to smack the snot out of him, or change panties. The Badass part owner of BSI is every bit the Alpha we all dream of. Hes able to dominate and still allow Kylies sass to show through.
WARNING*** You might consider warning your partner you are reading this, cause I cant tell you whats its done for my marital life. ;)

Wow. This book is soooo Powerful

Omg!!! Savannah Morgan's book, Dreams: A Sapphire Springs Novel has to be one of the best stories this year.

Kylie James is a single mother of a 9 year old son named Jamie. Left to raise him alone since his father, Allen, ran off, she is helped by none other than Allen's older 1/2 brother Devin. He was with her through the whole pregnancy and even at the birth.

Kylie only feels safe when Devin's around. She's in love with him but will he want her after he finds out what Allen really did to her.

Devin Blackthorn is Sexy, funny and a tad bit fixated on the beautiful and sensual Kylie James. But he's 14 years older and feels he shouldn't be having these kinds of thoughts. He wants to do all sorts of naughty things to her. He wants to tell her, but scared. He already thinks of them as a family.

The whole town knows they belong together, so why can't they get it together.

When Allen shows up wanting to see his son, Kylie is speechless and believes he is up to something, but what? Should she be scared? Would he hurt Jamie?

Devin finds out his S.O.B. brother is back in town and will do what he must to keep Kylie and Jamie safe. He won't lose them. He just needs to convince Kylie she should be his.

Throw in lies, drugs, and human trafficking and you will be drawn into a story that is intense, intriguing, powerful and heartwarming that you won't be able to put it down.

OoOh did I mention it also has some steamy sexual, omg scenes!!!

Loved it. A must-read for mature ladies who love lust and danger.

This book was a surprise to me. To be honest I had met the author through a blog that I ran at the time, so I one clicked the book (under the blog account) and decided to give it a try. I did so without really reading the blurb, so I went in blind.

I really like the book. Sapphire Springs is a place I’d want to live in, especially if it had hot out of control Alphas like Devin.

The story centers around Kylie, her son Jamie the ghosts from their past and Devin and it’s a story that takes you on so many twists and turns that you just hold on and go for the ride.

The story took a bit to get going, but when it did BAM you were sucked in and had to keep reading.

The sex was hot hot omg call 911 so it’s not for the faint of heart. Luckily it’s just the way I like. Book two Secrets is on my TBR already. A wonderful, great debut series and I’m anxious to see what happens next in the mind of Ms. Morgan.

"Dreams" is my first Savannah Morgan book and OMG I am hooked on her writing style! I loved the characters and the way it was written so much! It has an exciting story with lots of drama, steamy lovemaking, alpha males, and a great female in the story. So much is going on but surprising you are able to stay on course without losing the way.

Kylie, Devin, and Jamie's story will make you believe through any perceived obstacle you can still find love and family!

LOVED IT !
At the start i wanted to reach in and slap Devin and Kylie for denying and ignoring how they felt for each other but once i got further in and understood why they were being that way it made sense.
I REALLY hated Allen and Nadine and their creepy relationship and the things they put Devin, Kylie and Jamie through but so glad revenge was served to them !!

I love every page, I would get mad, sad, happy, get hott, want more and more. I couldn't put the book down. I would stay up late reading Dreams and have some wet dreams of mine own with Devin, yum, lol. Savannah words from made me wanting more, and still get mad, and hott. I love this book.

Overall, I liked the story and the characters (the good ones, anyway), but it took forever to get into the story. The author not only provided way too much detail and background in an info dump at the beginning of the book, but she did it twice, because we got the same information from both of the main characters POV. Which would have been fine, except that it was the exact same information, not just their perception of the events or their feelings. And I almost didn't get past the scene at the beginning in which Kylie is listening to her phone messages, or rather, NOT listening to them. Because we get about ten pages of her ponderings while she's supposed to be listening to messages. Those must have been some really long messages. And as a business owner, you would think she would pay a little more attention to those messages. But once I got past the drudgery, and actually got into the story, it was good. I definitely want to read more about their friends and family.

I don't think it was ever really explained why she went to live with the Italian family, and that seemed to be a major plot point, so I hope that's cleared up in a later book.

Could you live without someone that you have been in love with for years. Stand in the shadows and watch them live their life without them fully in it.

Now make sure you take note of the introductions of all family members involved in this book, because they weave a twisted tail. Devin dreams of a day where he could make Kylie his, but will the return of her former boyfriend, the father of her child and Devin's brother prevent this.

I loved this book, it had it all, the romance, drama, suspense and let's not forget, murder. The love scenes were intense, sensual and with some kink added to the mix. I also enjoyed meeting the supporting characters that I look forward to reading their stories in the future. If I was to criticise anything it would be the handful of errors I found, but that is really being picky as they did not effect the storyline.

Well done, I cannot wait to dive into book 2 in this series.

Wow!!

Devin *swoons* what a great story! It was a page turner from beginning you just have to know what happens next, I loved Kylie & Devin chemistry! And Allen ugh frustrated me all together! But I love how you get to grow with Kylie & Devin and the love they share as well as Jamie! Also the other characters in the book are a bonus! I love the start of a good series! It has that suspense that you can't just put the book down you have to know what's going to happen

I liked Devin and Kylie very much. Their love for each other, and for Jamie, is a sight to behold. I am not a fan of sexually domineering men, and Devin likes to be in complete control of Kylie, right down to what she wears. But his love for her shines through on every page, and she seems to like it, so who am I to disagree. And the ending made me a very happy reader.

2 stars is generous for this book. If you like straight up and down "porn" with BDSM thrown in then this book may interest you. So many times I decided not to finish, only thing stopping me was my computer being down so I didn't have a way to find something else.\


Definitely not recommending this book.
