Marriage had always been my dream but not to a man about whom I know nothing.
The moment my father fixed an alliance of me to a Prince without even telling or asking me, all the dreams I thought of a beautiful escape from reality, called marriage shattered into the pieces.
Never in my thoughts, had I imagined that I would get married to a complete stranger of whom I only knew the name. Prince Ranvijay Dev Singh.
I could see all my dreams shattering while chanting the prayers with him for our marriage. But, as soon as I took the step into his territory, my whole perspective towards a man changed.
Never in my thoughts, had I imagined that I would marry such kind of man. He was beautiful, and handsome, someone a woman would desire her whole life and still would not get. And, in front of him, I was nothing.
With my dark complexion, different upbringing, illiteracy and everything a princess should not be, I felt afraid even to my bones about what would he think after seeing me.
I did not even deserve him.
And, the mere thought of such a handsome and beautiful man finding the ugliness of his wife was twisting my stomach in thousands of ways.
*** Princesses should be beautiful, smart, intelligent, well-educated and up to the mark in all aspects of life. In the era of the 17th century when all the Princes were in search of the most beautiful brides. Prince Ranvijay Dev Singh got married to Aishwarya through a political arrangement. And, after seeing her wife after the wedding, he became the reason for the turning of her world upside down.
Let's dive to enjoy the journey of a politically arranged marriage.
This isn’t a story. It’s a painfully recycled loop of bad erotica dressed up as “innocent girl learns about sex” as if that alone is enough to carry a plot. Spoiler: it’s not.
When your entire storyline is just "she moans, he thrusts, repeat," you're not writing a narrative..you’re just stringing together fanfiction-level smut scenes with no purpose. The girl has no personality except being “innocent” (which isn’t a trait, by the way, it’s a tired cliché). There’s no build-up, no stakes, no emotional depth. Nothing.
And please...for the love of storytelling..if your dialogue is just “ahh” and “don’t stop” on repeat for ten chapters, that’s not sensual. That’s a broken record. It’s lazy, uninspired, and frankly embarrassing. It reads like someone discovered Wattpad and immediately skipped grammar class.
The worst part? There’s potential in exploring sexuality, vulnerability, or self-discovery in fiction. But this kind of writing strips all that away in favor of cheap thrills and zero effort. It’s not provocative. It’s just cringe.
Either develop your characters and give us a damn story, or stop wasting people’s time with copy-paste smut scenes pretending to be a plot.
LEGIT THERE’S SMUT IN ALMOST ALL THE CHAPTERS.
You’d have to be mentally stuck at 13 to think this was worth publishing...no sane adult with even a shred of literary sense would put out a disaster like this.
If you’re brown, this book will make you obsessed. The references to brown skin are so powerful and beautifully written ....... they make the storyline feel even more dreamy, like a beautiful mirage we can’t quite touch, but are just happy to feel. Author, I truly wish I could kiss your hands for this masterpiece. One humble request to the author ....... please, if possible, post Gulaab, Ashwariya, and Ruhani on digital platforms. I’m from India and can’t get the paperback versions of these books, but I would love to read them but having then in home is impossible
The story had everything a good novel need— world building, plot and complex characters— plus a bonus of smut. Really it was one of the best historical fiction romance I've read.
It had a meek female princess who developed as a strong women and an introvert but mature prince who became a loving husband.
I haven't tried the paperback yet. But might try it in future.
It’s a historical romance fiction. This book has mature content. The book tells a story of a girl who is insecure about her skin and its color and is innocent who has no idea about what comes after marriage. The guy whom she married becomes her friend, her mentor who supports her , protects her and doesn’t make her feel low. This book is for girls who are insecure about themselves and think who will love them.
As a brown girl, this book hit closer than I expected 🤍 The expectations, the insecurities, the quiet pressure society places on us I saw myself in her more than once. This story felt validating, comforting, and deeply emotional in ways I wasn’t ready for. This is easily one of my favourite books of the year. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Every girl who carries insecurities deserves a man like Ranvijay patient, protective, and choosing her every single time 🖤📖
This book is really close to my heart because it's remind me my self black not confident always judge by others lack of support . Miss loveleen writting skills and progressive thinking about women prospective & impowerment is very impressive and the way she displayed her every character is top-notch. All the best our Hard working rising writer 👍
Everyone has Aishwarya in them. Insecure about look's education and health. But will find their Ranvijay in themselves who will complete them in an out.. will give you confidence, strength, and courage to be yourself, be alive and follow their dreams ♡ With a slow burn a little spice and chemistry this book will sweep you off your feet 💞
"I absolutely loved this book! The story was gripping from start to finish, and the characters felt so real and relatable. The emotions were beautifully written, and every chapter kept me hooked. It’s definitely one of my favorites—I couldn’t put it down!
Bought the physical copy of the book from amazon. It is a really good concept but the writing could have been better. The story could have focused more towards the character development of Aishwarya than their intimate scenes. Otherwise i enjoyed the book
The best book i have ever read. I read the book in a sitting. The well written characters, with plot and romance 💕. I ask just addicted to the book. It is the best Historical Romance fiction book i have ever read.💖💝
I first read this on Wattpad and instantly fell in love. I’ve reread it so many times, and when it finally got published, I fell for it all over again. Such a beautiful story. I loved every second of it🌷🩷
It was my first book on Wattpad . And it became my forever favourite too . I just love the way the progress in their bond has been portrayed beautifully .❤️😍
the best book I have read so far love this book a lot if you love ancient romance you love it if you don't love /like ancient romance you are gonna fall in love with this 💗
This is my all-time favourite book 💖. I have read it for the third time. It’s a historical fiction romance, a beautifully written royal love story. I truly love historical romance, and this book is everything.💖
The care, love, and respect that Ranvijay shows toward Aishwarya are so overwhelming 🥺😍. He is her guru, friend, husband, protector everything for her.
I love Ranvijay; he is effortlessly so good. I adore their bond, their love, and the respect they have for each other,OMG 😭❤️. The way he supports her and encourages her makes my heart melt 🤍💞.
Male leads can be green flags or green forests, but they can never be Hukum Sa because he is way beyond a green flag or a green forest. He deserves a standard of his own.
Aishu baby is the purest and most innocent FMC I have ever read. She’s cute, innocent, lovable, and has one of the best character arcs and growth journeys I’ve ever come across.
Watching her transform from an insecure, underconfident, and naive girl into a confident Princess of Suryagarh was such a rewarding experience. Not only did she grow as a person, but she also went on to contribute to the economic growth of Suryagarh through her business. Her journey of self-growth was beautiful to witness, but a huge part of it was possible because of Ranvijay.
From teaching her how to read and write to helping her recognize her own worth, he stood by her every step of the way. When no one saw her potential, he identified her talent for embroidery and clothing design and encouraged her to pursue it. He never tried to overshadow her achievements; instead, he gave her the confidence and support she needed to shine on her own.
That’s what makes Hukum Sa so special. His love wasn’t just about protecting her—it was about empowering her. He wanted her to become the best version of herself, and watching him support her growth so wholeheartedly made me love his character even more.
Their relationship is beautiful because while Aishwarya grows into a strong and confident woman, Ranvijay remains her biggest cheerleader, always believing in her even when she struggles to believe in herself.
I absolutely adored both of them, and their journey together will stay with me for a very long time. 🤍✨
