Zelda
He ruined me. Hunted me through a maze and took what he wanted.
He was supposed to be a stranger, a faceless man to explore my darkest desires with.
But he left something behind. A clue to his identity. The things we shared, the way he manipulated my body and pushed me to my limits… I can’t go back, can’t pretend I don’t know who he is.
My Dad’s best friend. My Uncle Luca.
He’s always there, watching, waiting, and he’s unaware I know his identity.
He was the man behind the mask that night, and I want to expose him.

Luca
I didn’t mean to take her, to bend her to my will and force her own fantasies on herself, but the moment I saw her in that costume, it was inevitable.
She mesmerized me, haunted my thoughts. Since that night, it has grown impossible to lie about what I crave. And I crave her.
My best friend’s daughter, my Zelda.
I’ve already had her once, and I don’t know how much longer I can wait before I take her again.
She was the girl in the costume that night, and I want another taste.

Free Fall is an 98k dark romance full of triggers. While not required, it is recommended to read the novella, Puppeteer, first.

5 He Needed A Little Fucking Up Too Stars ⭐

Well damn! Free Fall was dark and depraved and so astonishingly hot. When I wasn't squirming with all the kinks that these two deviants were indulging in, I was cringing because their relationship was so wrong; consequences were inevitable.

I hated him. For what he’d done, for how he made me feel. But as our eyes stayed locked, and the world fell away, I knew with painful certainty that this wasn’t over.

We first meet Uncle Luca and Zelda in Puppeteer. I highly recommend you start there with these two kinksters hooking up at a Haunted House Sex Party. However Zelda has no idea that it was him. Her father's best friend. Free Fall starts with the knowing...

He’d ruined everything. Pushed me, fucked me, took from me while staring me in the face. He made sure I knew what he was doing, demanded my consent, body and mind.

Their sexual appetites is the biggest draw card. The major reason that these two are jeopardizing everything. Sneaking around, succumbing to scandalous behavior. Let me put it out there, we're talking cheating, dub con, fisting, anal, breeding kink and so many fluids. Nothing is off the table. It was marvelous.

Luca and Zelda might try and keep this boxed into a sexual arrangement but who are these two fooling with the risks they take. It's just a matter of time before it all gets exposed. I didn't guess it even though I should've it. And I liked that!

Told in two parts, I was enamored by this emotional, well written erotica. I kept comparing Free Fall to some of my favorite Jade West books. Perfectly debauched yet somehow romantic. The second part was bittersweet without losing the stories momentum. 🔥🔥

THE TABOO DELIGHT I HAVE BEEN ITCHING TO READ SINCE FINISHING PUPPETEER.

The excitement I had going into this was unmatched. If you're itching for a high heat taboo, age gap, smutty romance with brutal, aggressive, and kinky smut, this is for you!

This full length novel takes place immediately after the novella (Puppeteer) with some exposition.

Zelda and Luca's relationship is admittedly toxic and messy but it's the train wreck you love to experience. The romantic and platonic relationships are expanded on, the stakes are raised, and the chemistry is off the charts. I would've loved a smidge more emotional depth but as is, it was wholly entertaining.

FYI: I would take a look at the author's content warnings before reading! Also pick up the novella beforehand hehe.

DNF@41% I'm done, I can't spend another moment with this book. This story is filled with some of the worst people I have ever read. Not only am I bored to tears, but I also dislike everybody. Talk about dysfunctional, these people are the definition.

Free Fall is the epitome of a tale of indulgence, the consequences that arise from giving into temptation, and navigating through the ashes after the downfall. Immediately following the events of Puppeteer— yes, you remember that obnoxious cliffy S.B. Hazel made us endure— we’re given a front row seat as the drama between Luca and Zelda unfolds. Angst, sneaking around, k!nk galore…dad’s best friend. Ugh, it’s everything I needed and more.

This is Hazel’s first full-length novel after a whole bunch of delectable novellas, and she utilized the extra real estate space to beautifully flesh out this story of forbidden lust/love. The desire drips from the pages, the pain endured is palpable, and the harmony of found family is just exquisite.

The chemistry between these two is off the charts. They shouldn’t work, but they just do. He craves dominance, she’s willing to submit, and what results is a turbulent love affair that blooms into something more. Hazel sugarcoats absolutely nothing and to say what culminates between them is spicy would be the understatement of the year. It’s pure filth and it’s glorious.

Oh, and yes, the mask makes a reappearance. And the chase continues.

This book took quite a few turns I was not expecting, and there was a level of emotion injected that took me by surprise in the best ways. I will say there was an appearance of a trope I absolutely can’t stand that I did not see coming (yes, it’s listed in the TWs, which maybe I should start reading), but Hazel used it as a vehicle to advance the plot, so there’s no real complaint from me.

Hazel knows how to keep her readers engaged from start to finish, and I’m thoroughly satisfied with the conclusion of Luca and Zelda’s story. There’s a lot of delicious tension that develops between some of the supporting characters and I can’t wait to see if she tells their tales as well. If you’re in the market for a steamy age gap story with all the forbidden flavors, I highly recommend picking up Puppeteer, then immediately diving into Free Fall. Loved it.

So - I hated every single thing about this book. All of it. The first few chapters I thought maybe, because there was a super hot sex scene - but the last half of the book especially ruined everything that came before it.

Zelda (22) had found Lucas's (42) wedding ring that he left behind after their f*ck fest at the House of Whorrors (in the last book Puppeteer). Avoiding him has been a chore since he's BFF's with her dad, Henry, and they also are partners in a business. So family night comes and she can't avoid this one. Lucas shows up with his wife, Alison, and their twins Cole (the devious one) and Jesse (the nice one). Surprise, Cole figures out what happened between his dad and Zeli and he's kind of mad at first but mostly he just wants to blackmail his dad. Oh - both Cole and Jesse attend the same sex club as the dads did. One big happy whoring family. Anyway - Zel tries to do the right thing and stay away. Lucas is a bastard and won't let Zel go, despite being married. He also has no plans to leave his wife. Ya see - both Lucas and Henry have an understanding with their wives. The guys will attend a sex club and cheat and the wives will pretend like it doesn't happen. Lucas actually can't stand his wife anymore and he doesn't have sex with her anymore either - but still. This all comes out in the first few chapters - then everything goes downhill. I will add that Zelda's BFF's Seren and Avery (he's a guy) come to help Zeli in a big way and play a huge part in this book. The book ends with what's supposed to be a HEA - but I wasn't happy about any of it.

CHEATING: As I said, they allegedly have this open relationship, and he hates his wife. His excuse for not leaving is he doesn't want to cause a rift in the dynamics of their lives. His wife is friends with Henry's wife, Delilah. I have let a cheating incident slide on the very rare occasion, but this one was so OTT for me. I knew going in that there would be cheating, so I didn't doc it for that. I did hate who Lucas was though and that was one of the many reasons the cheating bothered me even more. It went on for so dang long.

LUCAS: Besides being a shitty husband, he's also a shitty father. He takes no interest in his sons and Cole hates him. He blatantly says many times that he doesn't care about them. He's an asshole to his wife. He's also an asshole to Zelda. It's not just the sex - it's that he doesn't want anything else from her. Nothing tender or sweet. He has no interest in being with her outside of sex. I just hated him. He didn't want to sit on the couch and watch a movie with her or wake up next to her. It was just fuck and go home.

THAT ONE THING: There was only one thing I liked, and it was the somno scene that was in the second or third chapter. That shit was hot!!!

ALL THE THINGS I HATED: I don't want to ruin anything for you - but this had some tropes that I hated so much that I added this to my "Books to Burn" list. Some of y'all might not be bothered by these things.

Side note: There's some insinuation that there will be a relationship between Cole and Avery, which I'm here for. Might be something between Jesse and Seren.

Anyway - I don't recommend this book

Holy shittt. I think I have found a new favorite author! I just recently read by Puppeteer by S.B. Hazel so I could read the ARC of Free Fall and that novella ends on a wild cliff hanger. You will absolutely need to read that novella to read 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒍𝒍! (The author notes that it is not required to read Free Fall but I highly recommend it anyway 😂)

I fucking loved Puppeteer and with the way that novella ended, I was so freaking excited to receive a copy of this ARC because I had to know what was going to happen next.

Free Fall takes place right where Puppeteer leaves off, with Zelda discovering who her masked man is from her Halloween rendezvous at an underground sex club. What starts out in Puppeteer as a night of fun morphs into something far bigger than Zelda, our FMC, ever anticipated.

Luca, her masked man, can’t keep himself away from Zelda even though he absolutely should for so many reasons. But the chemistry between Zelda and Luca is palpable from their first encounter on Halloween.

I devoured this book. I felt everything from anger, to grief, to just utter sadness, but by the end I was happy with the outcome. Zelda and Luca go through so much together. Sometimes I wanted to shake them both and any book that makes me have such a visceral reaction as I had to this one is an immediate favorite for me.

I highly recommend reading Puppeteer now and Free Fall when it’s released on March 31, especially if you enjoy taboo/age-gap romances. But make sure you check those trigger/content warnings! 😮‍💨

It was incredibly difficult to understand Luca, until I did and I couldn’t stop reading. I loved how complicated and how much this fucked with my feelings. Also, don’t read if age gaps aren’t your thing. Also there’s cheating!

this is the most controversial, chaotic, insane, diabolical mess I have ever read and I have enjoyed every single little second of it. you will find me in every age-gap romance and this was certainly unique in the sense that I have never read something so twisted, so messy yet made so much fucking sense at the same time it was a rollercoaster of a journey reading this. this is not for the faint of heart and definitely it pushes all your limits and comfort zones there is nothing polished about this. This is a true taboo, chaotic age-gap story that takes you through all the feels.

you get a little sense in the puppeteer about the dynamic and how the story might play out in free fall. I definitely enjoyed how the author maintained an extremely well-written plot despite the chaos that was happening. She said you want a nasty old man to fulfill your deepest darkest most twisted desires? I give you Luca. and damn she delivered. I wouldn't wish him upon my worst enemy but I sure as hell enjoyed reading him. he has two or more loose screws in his nuggin not going to lie and as manipulative as they come but he makes a comeback and remedies it at the very end which honestly I was surprised. the author has you rooting for a piece of shit like that? that's hats off for the writing right there.

loved it. def. will be on my mind from now on.

Not what I wanted...

I've been looking for a dark romance with scorching heat to help fill the void left by the non-explicit, yet dark af The Silver Devil.

Reading the reviews, it looks as if this could be the one, but I can't get past the MMC still being married. I don't know if he is or isn't sleeping with his wife (my gut tells me he isn't or the ratings would be much lower but), frankly, I don't care.

Obsessed heroes don't stay married to OW.

To be fair, I skipped the CW and the first thing that's written, before even than all the kinks, is 'cheating', so... My fault, I guess.

RATING: 4.5/5

I went through it with “Free Fall”—like I went through it all. The cliffhanger S.B. Hazel left me at with “Puppeteer” should have been a sign of what was to come, but I wasn’t ready. Let’s first get this out of the way—there’s cheating. However, the married couple in “Free Fall” have the type of marriage that is not only questionably on the rocks, but they have been openly doing things with other couples in special clubs for years. Does that make things okay? Eh. It’s fiction.

Luca and Zelda had quite a tumultuous relationship. And though much of their encounters were s3 x-based—read those TW/CWs—the scenes were jaw-dropping hot, and their relationship did evolve. The angst was there—a lot. At one point, I hoped the author would go in another direction because Luca was making me so angry.

Unlike S.B. Hazel’s other books, “Free Fall” is not a short novella. It’s an entire novel, and it’s recommended that “Puppeteer” be read first. Many authors throw in the long grocery list of TW/CWs for the shock value and don’t properly utilize them in the story. S.B. Hazel does use everything and uses it well.

This story was everything and more than Isabella told me!
Even without having read Puppeteer,i was glad i found it on BookSirens, and got a chance to read the ARC myself.
Because it was right up my alley, every twisted, depraved and delicious part of it.

Luca, being the older person, should’ve been the responsible one of the two.
Zelda, having known him as her “uncle” all her life, wasn’t prepared for the devious side of him.
And once she knew it wás him in that maze in Puppeteer, she díd try to do the right thing and stay away from him…..
But Luca never gave her a chance, not really…..because she stirred something in him he hadn’t felt in a long time and he wanted more of it.
His marriage was long dead anyway, his wife didn’t share his needs and had agreed to him… “playing” elsewhere.
Zelda not only liked what he did,she gave him permission, even if she knew she shouldn’t.
Even though she knew she couldn’t stop him once she got under his skin…..
And then he got her pregnant…..
Would that be the moment Luca finally saw he’d gone too far?
Was there any way to mend the broken hearts he’d caused in his relentless pursuit of his puppet?

SB Hazel is a new author to me,but i know i’m going to keep a close eye on her!
Because if this is the kind of stories she writes,i want to read all of them from now on!
The characters were so full of emotion,so deliciously flawed.
Fighting the pull,but failing.
And the collateral damage in the relative families was so relatable.
The road forward after everything went to hell was beautifully done, showing the personal growth of Zelda and Luca in wonderful detail.

They would be doing things and I would feel like I missed a step because I wasn’t sure how we got there or how it was working. When picturing Luca I just saw Vigo from Ghostbusters 2 for some reason and it was really taking me out. Honestly no one in the book is likable, mature, reasonable, stable or anyone I want to root for. And then I walked face first into my least favorite trope on earth. My instant book killer. So this want for me. I would try something else from the author hopefully outside this world because these people are miserable.

This book was one I was highly anticipated to read because the trigger warnings were as long as my marriage so far.

The more trigger warnings, the better the read right? Be warned: this book is DARK, but it was DELICIOUS! It reminds me of those old VH1 dating shows that are an absolute train wreck and toxic , but you can’t look away, you just want to binge it right? I sat and binged Free Fall in one day. It was THAT GOOD. I couldn’t put my Kindle down and learned new kinks that I didn’t think I would be interested in. Luca and Zelda by far is the most toxic and freaky couple I’ve ever read. They’re as morally gray and red flags as they get. While their relationship was more physical connection based, I did love the growth that happened from beginning to end with Luca. I loved that S.B made this a realistic read and touched more on the reality of her couple. They both had flaws and things that they needed to work on, and instead of going the route of having them fall in love and everything ends in a HEA, they made us see the struggles, feel the emotions that was the emotional rollercoaster that this book was. The pace was just right: not to slow, not too fast and the spice in this was a 5/5. Like I said, I learned some things that I cant wait to try on my husband lol. REALLY enjoyed this and can’t wait to dive into more of S.B Hazel’s books, especially if it’s as kinky and spicy as this one!

This book... Holy.... I've been waiting to get my little grubby paws on this since The Puppeteer and good lord. Luca and Zelda really had me feeling both good and uncomfortable. This couple is toxic, taboo, dark, depraved and freaking hot. I've never read a book where the characters are literally the epitome of fuck around and find out. Their relationship is not only taboo, but add in the family relationships of these characters and you have this story that is so complex.
Luca and Zelda might be one of the kinkiest couples I've ever read. The submissive/dominance push and pull between them is off the charts and this truly made them feel so real. The arc and growth of Luca in particular was so amazing to read. He really grew on me and I love his crazy ass.
I really enjoyed this story and I'm really really curious for the stories of the other characters in this book.
Definitely read the trigger warning ⚠️ but if you want Dad's best friend, age gap, k!nk, light stalking and some🤛🤛 then this one is for you.

My oh my was this book toxic AF but I loved it. SB had me sucked in from the start. I wanted more after reading Puppeteer and was excited to get a full length novel for Luca and Zelda. Be prepared for the ups and downs that come with a forbidden relationship but it’s so worth it. It had the perfect ending for Luca and Zelda. I’m really hoping Cole, Jesse, Seren, and Avery all get books because I need more of them

If you enjoy a lot of D/s sex you will like this factor. Please do read the triggers, as it’s an age gap romance, her Dads best friend, cheating from both the Dads, sex clubs, strip clubs, breeding kink, pregnancy trope…there’s probably more that may not fit with you.

Non of these are my triggers, the reason for three stars is that it is drawn out and gets a tad monotonous, there were a lot of grammatical errors too. There are a couple of year jumps closer to the end of the book which I assume are to give the story a closure but could have been added in sooner. I did enjoy Puppeteer, just this one I struggled to finish but hey! I like a challenge 🤣

I'm not a huge taboo girly but when I read Puppeteer I was HOOKED. I've been foaming at the mouth waiting for Luca and Zelda's story and it delivered. I really enjoy S.B. Hazel's writing style. She gets into the nitty gritty without sparing details but doesn't drag stuff out which I love. Luca is a dark possessive man that loves Zelda deeply. Zelda is fierce and determined to stay away from Luca (which like obviously doesn't last forever lol). Some parts absolutely made me clench my jaw and cringe. But that's taboo for ya! I think for a genre and a few tropes I don't love this was actually a really enjoyable read for me. It was a nice and filthy conclusion to Luca and Zelda so thank you for that.

Heads up: there is cheating in this BUT not exactly the way you're thinking. S.B. Hazel dances those lines beautifully and will have you sweating (from your eyes and thighs).

great first novel

I have been a fan of S.B for a while now after discovering her novellas last year and it has been amazing to see her writing grow and develop with each one. Free Fall has to be her best work to day and the proof her hard work and maturity as an author. Let’s be honest, if you have read a S.B novella before you expect all the spice with enough plot to make you enjoy the journey. While Free Fall has a lot of spice, the development of not only Zelda and Luca but the side characters such as Cole made for a captivating read that made it difficult to put down. I laughed, especially at Zelda’s housemates, I cried for both her and Lucas, felt my blood boil in anger (looking at you Lucas) and also felt the need for a long lay day and a cold shower if you catch my drift.

This is a continuation of Puppeteer which you MUST read first otherwise you won’t fully appriciate this book. Zelda is, quite rightly, confused about her feelings following the revelation that she had a wicked night of debautchery with her best friends father who has been like a family uncle for most of her life. Especially given that he knew who she was and she didn’t know who was behind the mask! They can’t resist each other, even knowing it is wrong, and what follows is a cat and mouse game of falling together and miserably trying to stay apart until it all comes to a head…I won’t spoil by saying any more but safe to say there are many twists and turns on this rollercoaster.

Luca is toxic and selfish, yes, however, the genuine growth we saw in his journey made me fall in love and forgive him. I really appreciated that S.B didn’t fall in to the trap that so many authors do of everything being ok and the anti-hero being fixed because he fell in love. While a nice concept, that isn’t how the world works and the realistic development of Luca’s character felt natural to the point that you felt like you were a fly on the wall engaged in the most intimate moments of the book.

Zelda is a badass. Does she make some bad choices? Yes, we all do. But when the chips are down she’s not afraid to stand up for herself and responded very maturely to a particularly difficult situation, making her my favourite.

The pace in this book had me in a chokehold. There was great plot/character development throughout the “scenes” which oh lord I still think about. S.B certainly knows how to get the engines going. The kink and tropes list was a mile long and surprisingly I found myself encountering new things!

Free Fall....

Free Fall is the first installment in the Twisted Bonds Series, a standalone following in the aftermath of Puppeteer (novella aka somewhat a prequel), where we're introduced to Zelda and her 'adventure' with the masked master on Halloween night, a stranger or so she thought.

I would totally advise for the readers to read Puppeteer since it marks the nature of h and H's lust, like a centripetal force that brings them together in want, obsession and decadent abandon.

S.B. Hazel is a new to me author and it amazes me Free Fall is her debut novel.

It's all about the smut and Zelda and Luca's true felt chronicle. Their existence that Halloween night forward....taboo, kinky galore, forbidden, wrong, and a lot risky, mostly how it feels (so R.I.G.H.T.), where it goes, will it end....and the consequences...to the family, friendships, parents, daughters and sons, marriages.......

I absolutely loved the author' style of writting and how careful she was providing all the elements of comprehension to Luca and Zelda's incandescent relationship, daring judgement and giving influential background at the same time. What started as an adventure for her, was more like a no turning-back self-imposed yielding for him and yes, S.B. Hazel definitively knows how to write lu$t, wanton surrender and raw domin@tion.

It's not right or wrong, just a situation that could very well be our own or someone nearby.
Rough, visceral, pure and undiluted, realistic, it began as an one-time indulgence turned out to become a beautiful love story with lot of mistakes, tribulations, imperfect protagonists, imperfect families in an imperfect world.

The narrative is very expressive and complete. With a great slew of secondary characters and the protagonists in dire straits, the details matter in the plot and the author ingeniously kept weaving spacial information as well as states of the mind, the body, the soul and the heart that contributed to the characters growth, maturity, reasonings and plans of action, and for the pace to flow steady and direct.

This is a story about a lot of things, showing there is a precarious balance when it comes to choices and redemption, but it's possible.

Absolutely loved!

As the first book in the Twisted Bonds series, I really feel like Free Fall lived up to its name in more ways than one: twisted bonds between the two main characters and their relationship—both romantic and platonic—but also twisted bonds in the sense of Zelda being an aerial dancer and Luca's little 'puppet' all tangled and tied up in ribbons as silk as their carnal desires win out.

One thing the author never shies away from is the taboo and the forbidden, and Free Fall definitely had that in abundance. As the full-length follow-on from Puppeteer, I was excited for this book and for Zelda to play games with her 'Uncle' Luca; however, just like Zelda, I underestimated just how twisted and toxic Luca could be, and he really ramped it up in what is possibly SB Hazel's darkest and dirtiest book I've read yet.

The relationship between Luca and Zelda is brutal, twisted, and toxic from the onset. They are both forbidden, with Luca being Zelda's dad's best friend and known as her uncle, although there is no blood relation. He's also married, but the marriage is a complete farce, so don't let that put you off. But as they hurt each other with their truly masochistic love, they hurt the people who love them too. I'd definitely recommend that you check triggers before reading this book because, as hot as their passion is, it's hard to read at times.

I actually enjoyed seeing the slightly softer sides of Luca; although they were few and far between, they showed the beginning of a huge growth in his character and personality. Although he never lost the bossy, controlling Dom side, he also allowed himself to love openly, which we didn't get to see in the early parts of the book.

The side characters were brilliant in this book, especially Cole. While he seemed to crave and create drama, we get to see another side of him, and I can't wait to get his story because I know it's going to really make me love him, even if he was a bit of a shit in Zelda and Luca's story.

Alright, folks, let me tell you about "Free Fall" – the book I've been waiting for since I devoured the novella months ago. And guess what? The wait is totally worth it. This bad boy did not disappoint, not even for a second.

First off, let's talk about pace. This book doesn't mess around. It grabs you from the get-go and doesn't let up until you've turned that last page. Seriously, I started reading and next thing I know, it's 3 a.m. and I'm like, "Oops, gotta go to uni in a few hours."

From the get-go, you know you're in for a wild ride. The tension between the characters crackles off the page, and you can't help but get sucked into their twisted, addictive world. And let's talk about taboo – this book doesn't shy away from exploring those dark, forbidden desires that we're all a little curious about.

Now, let's address the elephant in the room – Luca. Is he toxic? Absolutely. But is he also irresistible as heck? You betcha. He's the kind of character that you know you shouldn't root for, but you just can't help yourself. And Zelda? She's living my taboo dream, and she's not afraid to go after what she wants, even if it's a little dangerous wink wink dad's best friend.

But what really sets "Free Fall" apart is its unapologetic embrace of the taboo. This isn't a book for the faint of heart. It's gritty, it's raw, and it's oh-so-deliciously forbidden. If you're looking for a read that'll make your heart race and your palms sweat, look no further – this is it.

So yeah, if you're into the whole forbidden romance thing (and let's be real, who isn't?), do yourself a favour and pick up "Free Fall." Just be prepared to lose a few hours of sleep because once you start, you won't be able to put it down. Trust me, you won't regret it.

This book is absolutely dark and oh so delicious!

Make sure you buckle up because you are in for one hell of a ride. After the morsel, that is The Puppeteer (which you need to read first) Free Fall is the continuation of Luca and Zelda’s story.

Unadulterated madness and obsession, is at the forefront of this story. Although Luca and Zelda find their happiness in the end, the road to get there is like the maze they first met in, filled with twists and turns and at times feels too dark to navigate out of.

I’m a huge fan of taboo, and the fact that Luca is the the much older, married Uncle figure to Zelda had me squealing! I love a good age gap romance, and this did not disappoint.

There is so much emotional growth from Zelda, without spoilers, so I don’t want to give away too much. But, she learns to grow up quickly and take care of those she loves, and leave behind all she knows for the chance at a new start. Luca is selfish, impulsive, and at times manipulative; however he does understand the wrongs he has done and tries in the best way (that he can) to rectify his mistakes. He is by no means prince charming, but at least makes an attempt.

Honestly, this book had me hooked after the way everything went down in The Puppeteer, so I HAD to see what came next for Luca and Zelda. It is a rollercoaster ride, with an absolutely unhinged MMC, and a fierce FMC which made this story so incredible, on top of all the others tropes that are already in there. It is dark, twisty, and emotion packed.

Thank you so much to Book Sirens & S.B. Hazel for the ARC! It was privilege to read this love story filled with chaos, obsession, and all the kinks!

“Beautiful. So wet for me, little puppet. Soaking for your puppet master.”

I wanna thank my friends for pushing Puppeteer because once I read the prequel I was hooked from the start and started Free Fall in the same sitting. Puppeteer is extremely short, less than 100 pages but it gets you invested in the characters you are waiting for more.

“Good little puppet, run your ass over my tongue over my tongue, wrap your body around my fingers, ride it.”

Zelda is invited to a twisted house of horror hosted by a sex club, where she is cornered by a mysterious masked man full of forbidden promises. He made a fantasy of her come to reality and when the night was over and he left her destroyed he abandoned her in the room. Luca knew what he was doing was wrong, he had seen her grow up and become the stunning woman she is today. The opportunity of having her for just one night without any repercussions was too good to not take advantage of. Thinking everything was going to just be an amazing memory he doesn't realize he left something behind which helped Zelda identify her masked master.

“Feels too fucking perfect and I know you think it, too. Your pussy’s clenching around my cock, milking me. You want my cum flooding you, don’t you?”

This book is deliciously hot and filthy. I discovered I'm into things I did not think I would like. If you are in the mood for non/dub con, age gap, fathers best friend, breath play, masked MMC, fisting, HOT HOT SMUTT, this is the right book for you. You can check out Puppeteer and Free Fall on KU. Check them out and you will not regret it. I cannot wait to read more about the characters.

Whew, chile....

What can I say about this story..... Zelda and Luca's love story is a rollercoaster. Picking up where they left off in Puppeteer, this story will put you through the ringer emotionally with the madness between Zelda and Luca.

If you haven't read the prequel, Puppeteer, then read it. It's a short story, sort of an interlude that introduces our MCs in this story where they get better acquainted in an adult club.

Luca has always been like an uncle to Zelda, he's her father's best friend, business partner, and has grown up with his twin sons. After the club they attempt some type of semblance along the lines of normality, but their addiction and attraction to each other only makes them risk the chance of being caught continuously. So, much happens throughout the story, and everything lines up.

I did find myself wanting to see more of a change on Luca's part at the end, but it did seem like he was making an effort to change, and that's better than nothing at all. There are, of course, some triggers to look out for, and you'll want to read those. I really enjoyed this story for the growth of the characters and writing. I especially loved that the one person we thought would be the bad guy wasn't at all, and in fact, had the best ulterior motive. Cole is the true hero in this book, lol.
