About the author

Dawn Ross isn't just a wife and mother or entrepreneur and volunteer. She's also an artist and writer. Her first love was drawing nature and wildlife, but she was also a daydreamer. One day, those dreams got too big to fit inside her head. So, she decided to write them down. A fantasy trilogy was her first endeavor. They did well but as her education and writing experience grew, she realized she wanted to do something new and better. And so began her sci-fi series. Her sci-fi novels have a little science but are mostly space-fantasy dramas. Though they are set far into the future, you will find many of the same modern-day societal problems such as greed, war, hate, prejudice, etc.

Dawn Ross has a degree in finance, but works at Meals on Wheels part time and as a writer part time. She is married and has a wonderful son. She is an animal lover and currently has an Australian Shepherd mix.

WOW is all I can say. Just when Jori thinks he is about to enter into a peaceful world away from prying eyes does he literally get kidnapped by Mega-Man. Vance was such a brutal character. Can't believe what abilities Vance had as I wondering how much more can Mega-Man have. I was cheering when Vance met his ultimate fate at the hands of Jori. Once again Jori proves how smart and resourceful he can be. Using small animals to evade capture was brilliant.

Dawn Ross always leaves you wanting more. Her books don't ever seem to "end" like normal books. You just want to pick up the next volume and keep going.

what to say? well despite my early opinions in book one, I have grown quite attached to this series and it has a way of running through my mind in the background. I do think that this book and the last one both felt sorta villain of the week though. It was good and worth reading. it fits within the story and I'm interested to read the next one.
