Sheryl Lister's "Just to Be with You" deservingly gets five stars! I could not put this book down without a groan. I wanted to delve into the story and enter into my very own cocoon and STAY there! When you read Janae and Terrence's story, you will experience the talent firsthand. The chemistry was so connected and sweet, it brought back the nostalgia of when two people begin dating and it's the compelling moments of wanting to just spend time with one another... I wanted to put myself into the book and observe the sweet exchanges between them. I'm so old school and I love when the guy romances the girl first. Terrence did just that and it brought to my lips a trembling smile that can be relayed as what an endearing gesture of really wanting to get to know the person you feel a strong connection to. It fluttered my heart to see the compassion Janae and Terrence shared for one another and how they genuinely supported the other. Don't miss out on their love story! This is the debut book by this author and I was not disappointed!!! Terrence first meets Janae at one of his concerts and you immediately tell that they were attracted to each other. Janae wasn't trying to get involved with him because she was hurt in her past. Terrence was also hurt in his past but he could not stay away from Janae. The more time that they spent together they got to know one another. I loved this book I could not put it down. It was so good I read it in one day. I am looking forward to reading other books by this author!!

This was an amazing love story that simply took my breath away. I love how Monte and Janae took their time at love, even though they both fought hard not to fall in love because of their past hurts and experiences. Excellent storyline that keeps the reader's attention from start to finish.

Another winner from Sheryl Lister!!

From page one this romance was very swoony and at times veering on sappy. Jannae and Terrance's whirlwind romance kept my interest from the start. A R&B superstar bachelor besotted with a schoolteacher who loathes the spotlight. There idiots kept fighting their feelings, but of course find a way to each other.

There's a cute scene where the Hero gifts her with a charm bracelet, hey it was published in 2014, and each charm is unique to the heroine. Not sure why that stuck out to me, but I thought it was super cute. Also, scene where he came to the school, she worked at because he couldn't stand to be apart.

I think second book in this series is the best so far, but this book hit the spot.

Janae and Karen meet Terrence (aka) Monte when they go to a jazz club. They win backstage passes. Janae has been hurt a few times in her life. Terrance's mother walked out on him and his father when he was a young boy and his father got sick. He has vowed never to get seriously involved with another woman since then, he doesn't want to take a chance on another woman walking out on him.

There's something about Janae that keeps Terrence coming back. Little does Terrence know, Janae is falling for him as well. They begin spending a lot of time together, and try and fight it all he wants, Terrence can't stop the feelings that are creeping into his heart for Janae.

Janae overhears Terrence telling his friend he's going to break it off with Janae. Before he can do that, she packs her bags and leaves the hotel they are staying in. Terrence may have messed everything up. Can he fix things between him and Janae before it's too late?

Great debut novel by this Sheryl Lister and I totally enjoyed it and wasn't disappointed at all. Definitely will not be my last read by this Author. Sweet romance loved the chemistry between Terrance (Monte) and Janae and it lasted throughout the book. Total pager turner, once I started I couldn't stop finished in one sitting. Loved how the the issues of trust and love between them unfolded and the storyline was very well written. Good well done Sheryl and I can't see what next for this creative author, Highly recommend.

Terrence(Monte) and Janae had issues with ever falling in love. Janae's stemmed from her two hideous relationships with immature and silly men. Terrence was haunted by the way his mother walked out of his life. Their connection was felt from their first touch. However, Terrence had no idea the depth of that connection. Janae thought she could handle dealing with Terrence would offer, but her heart had other plans.

Great read, love the chemistry of the characters and they had friends who genuinely wanted the best for them..

This is the first book by Sheryl Lister that I have read and I loved it! Janae and Terrence were such a wonderful couple. But what I enjoyed even more than them were the other characters; Devin, Donovan, Audrey, Grandma, Grandpa, Karen, etc. They made this such a homey, love able story. The familial relationships that both main characters had and how those relationships shaped their lives was pivotal to the realism of the story. I can't wait to read the next book!

Music can heal be it a soulful beat, a catchy tune or the smooth words of a ballad.When Janice Simms gets a ticket to a concert from her best friend it changes her life. Well written,characters as I read the lyrics to the ballad "JUST TO BE WITH YOU" I could hear the music and see Monte standing on stage singing.

What a great story! Terrence and Janae stayed on my mind whenever I wasn't reading. I love when I'm so in tune with a book that the characters become my "friends". The story flowed seamlessly and I'm awed by Sheryl Lister's creative writing skills. Though this is her first published work, novice she is not.

I'm such a dork

I haven't read romance novels in a very long time. I've been downing romance for a while because I haven't found romance in my life yet. This book was suggested by someone on Facebook, and decided to try one more time. I cried. Lol. This book made me feel like romance is still possible. I want to read her other books now.

I loved everything about this story. The characters were awesome; Monte was amazing. The best thing about this story was how the author allowed the two main characters to interact with each; simply wonderful.

After reading Donovans’s story first, I had to come find Terrence’s. Sheryl did a wonderful job in weaving a tale around Terrence (Monte) and Janae. I absolutely loved them. Her ability to make you “know” a character and understand what makes them tick is brilliant. I had no complaints at the end of this one. This is the kind of book that I’ll return to time and time again when I just want a good, beautifully written love story. It was perfect. I can’t wait to read Devin’s (Janae’s brother) story next lol.

Never say never

This author's creative gift always astounds me, I enjoy reading her novels. Although, I had read, "All of Me" best friend (Karen) of Janae and "Made to Love You" brother (Devin), before reading this story; there was additional information that I learned.

The two main characters, "Janae and Terrence" had stone walls around their hearts. Immediately, those walls started to crumble. Watching them soften was an experience.

This was ok, rather cute. I loved Janae and Terrance and all the baggage they lugged around. The only problem was the receptiveness of their feelings.

It was just too many times to read ‘he never felt for a woman like he did her’, it elicited eye roll after eye roll.

The characters were were very well written, I enjoyed that aspect of it as well.
