Will they risk their hearts on a new chance at love?

DNF @ 42% because I didn't like the characters or the writing style. But after I skipped ahead I found I saved myself from the kind of story plot I hate...
I think the author couldn't decide if she was writing chick lit or romance... if romance, it was unsucessful.

Who doesn't want to find someone who'd 'do anything' for them?

Stories about heartbreak inevitably speak to me on a personal level that comes from having first-hand knowledge of that sensation. I can always relate to the protagonist because I know where they are at that moment and the only question left to be answered is 'Where are they going from here?' Once the romance is all over, what's left? How does anyone pick up the pieces? The answer is different for everyone.

In the case of Annabelle Hart, she decides to go on a journey to 'find herself' by chasing the dreams of her youth. She's a woman that most readers can relate to: a lover of books, authors, and reading with aspirations of being a writer herself though she hasn't ever found the courage to start on a novel of her own to date. England is where she starts to pull herself together because she finds a kindred spirit in a handsome man with a past that features the same kind of heartbreak hers does as they were both betrayed by someone they planned to marry.

Romances that progress slowly tend to feel more real to me. There's more anticipation, more appreciation for the characters' feelings for one another, and more of a chance to build an understanding for where/how these two lives intersect in a way that make them 'right' for one another.

This book builds with a slow burn that is as nice to cozy up to as one of the Austen novels Annabelle loves so much. It's not filled with steamy sex scenes or dirty talk, yet passion is in the pages in the way Holden looks at 'Belle' as he calls her, in the way she leans toward him when he's close to her, in the way they kiss as if they're teenagers making out on a date that's run too late. There is passion in this book without it being the kind of book that should be read after-dark. I appreciated that quite a bit. It takes skill to build anticipation in a reader while leaving out the more explicit details.

What drew me into this story was watching Holden help Annabelle find the person she had always been underneath the person she had been living as if that makes sense at all.

Holden doesn't push her as much as encourages her in a way that she can't argue; he helps her realize she can take a new nickname -be Belle instead of Anna- and be a writer instead of an editor. He shows her it's alright to love again simply by trusting her with his own heart which has already been broken more than once. His trust, his faith, his belief in her help her discover her own strength of character.

I loved how Jack was handled in the piece. Jack would be the cheating ex-fiance who sends Anna scurrying away from America to England to become Belle---and he would be the kind of guy who eventually one hopes will turn out alright. I found myself unable to completely hate him; that's surprising since I loathe cheaters.

Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the story's pacing, never bored, read it in one sitting, and I can easily say I enjoyed the read quite a bit. I loved the characters though I do wish we'd gotten more out of Belle in regards to her responses to Holden. The fellow deserved better than what she gave him ever-so-reluctantly at the last possible second. I also felt cheated on his behalf because he'd encouraged her to write yet she couldn't trust him with her book? The book she'd written with his gift and his generosity to thank for the opportunity? Holden gave her so much and I feel that Belle gave him back so very little in return. He was almost a tragic Austen character: always sacrificing for the dignity of others while pushing his own needs to the side to be the gentleman in the situation. I just felt he deserved more than he got out of everything when literally from the start Holden is set on proving to Belle he'd do anything for her. I wish I had seen more of her proving she'd do anything for him.

I loved that the book left me with a teaser of the next in the series which will feature Belle's best friend, Kenzie, and I will definitely be back for that read, hoping to see a little glimpse of Belle and Holden along with what happens to that lady in her own right.

Lovely story all around which is well worth 4 stars! Thanks so much for the fun read, Wendy Owens! It made for a nice, relaxing afternoon where I smiled more than I have in days, laughed more than once, and got the chance to see a little love come to fruition.

4.5 stars!

I remember seeing the Cover Reveal on Facebook for this book and thinking the cover was stunning! I was really intrigued to read the story behind it, so when I got an email about ARCs, I quickly signed up for one! I'm so glad I did because this book was amazing! I really enjoyed it and it was so beautiful! The plot of Do Anything had a lot in it and it had some twist and turns in it too! I can say that I didn't see one major twist coming and I kinda thought that it was going to have a major impact on the plot, and it did, but it didn't have as big an impact as I thought! I'm still not sure whether this is a good or a bad thing lol! I just adored the plot though! It was really cute and I loved the whole idea of it! There were some chapters though that had me like either smiling like an idiot or left me with a gobsmacked face on because I couldn't believe what the main character had done or was going to do! It kinda made me love her and the plot more lol! The characters were amazing! Annabelle was the main character and she went through a lot in this book! She was really emotional at the start after what she catches her fiancé doing and then she quickly discovers something that's going to change her life forever! I definitely think that Annabelle took it in her stride though and she kept going, and she struggled, but everything worked out in the end for her, which is what I wanted so bad to happen! I loved Annabelle and I loved that she took risks, even when she didn't know the consequences! I just wished that she had more confidence with her love interest, but I do have to say that she did get more confident near the end of this book! Holden was the love interest of Annabelle and he was so freaking cute! I loved the little things he did for Annabelle and I could see that he had really deep feelings for her and he had since he first laid eyes on her! Holden had been through a lot relationship wise as well and I could see how deflated it had left him! Annabelle brought light back into his life though and made him realise that everyone gets a second chance at love! I also loved that Holden encouraged Annabelle all the way through this book to write her own book and to not be scared to jump head first! There were also some secondary characters in this book and they all added so much to the plot! I loved them all! I thought this book was a standalone when I first heard about it, but it says on the cover that it's the start of a series! I'm so excited to read the next book! It also gives you more information about the next book at the back of this book and I'm so excited about who it's going to be about! This character really intrigued me and I can't wait to read her story! As I said, the cover for this book is stunning! It's perfect for the book and the models on the front are exactly the same as what the main characters are described like! Big thank you to Wendy and Red Coat PR for an ARC of Do Anything!

Wendy Owens has done it again! Her stories are told with so much heart it's impossible to not lose yourself in the beautiful details of her writing and fall in love with her easily likeable characters. DO ANYTHING gives us the story of Annabelle Hart, an assistant editor for a publishing house who has secretly desired to be a writer herself. She catches her fiancé in the act of cheating on her a month before they are scheduled to be married. Her heart is broken as well as her belief in herself, shouldn't she have seen his unhappiness? Could she really have loved and trusted someone capable of betraying her so badly? She flees the constant reminders of him by deciding to find herself while traveling the world visiting the places made famous by her favorite authors.

Her first stop is England where she soon heads to Chawton where Jane Austen once lived, may as well start with the best, right? There she stays at the Three Horseshoes Inn and Pub owned by a gorgeous innkeeper named Holden. Holden is funny, flirty, handsome, with a very fit and hard-muscled body, and has beautiful blue eyes that make Annabelle lose her ability to think clearly, much less speak coherently. And of course there's his British accent that makes him impossible not to swoon over.

Holden is equally smitten with the beautiful Annabelle and her bright, witty, slightly shy personality. When insomnia brings Annabelle out of her room one night and into the kitchen for some warm milk she discovers Holden. Their accidental nighttime rendezvous quickly turns hot and heavy, intense with the attraction they both feel and until then had been trying to ignore, until Annabelle flees back to her room. They proceed to spend practically every waking moment together after that night, slowly getting to know each other, and falling in love.

Do Anything is a beautifully written, very sweet love story about two broken hearts finding each other, finding healing, and finding a soul-mate you'd do anything for. Ms. Owens doesn't make it easy on them, there are plot twists, exes, friends and family to deal with that complicate matters and make the story more interesting. Annabelle struggles to be true to herself and along the way discovers what she wants for herself, which is made easier with the love and encouragement Holden gives her. He really is quite dreamy and made this story all the more sweet by his consistency and devotion. Loved him and loved this 4 stars book!

In life we hope to find that one person to love us, cherish us and Do Anything FOR US!!!! This book was amazing, I was blown away not only by the story but also the great writing. I plowed right through this book. I love a good book where you can't get enough of the story, plot and characters. I do believe I am in love with Holden. Anna DROVE me nuts at times, but that happens a lot in these books I read. By the end, she does redeem herself with me. But HOLDEN, oh my word... he is a wonderful British Gentlemen.

This books VILLAIN as I will call him lol I wanted to just smack the living life out of this idiot, his name is Jack and I am sure you will just LOVE him as much as I did. Some men, just really don't know when they have a good thing going for them and always seem to screw it up. Surprisingly by the end of the story he see's the light, thank goodness because he seriously drove me bonkers. Some people can be so mean and controlling and that is how I saw him.

Anna fights tooth and nail not to fall for Holden but I think we all know that wasn't happening. Holden knew what he wanted and was very consistent in not giving up on her. Even when there is a dramatic turn of events that tears them apart. Yeah there is that, I was yelling at Anna from my bed telling her... NO DON'T RUN!!! That's what she is good at, when she should confront her fears and have faith in the people in her life that actually care for her.

I absolutely loved this book and would recommend this book to anyone. I am excited to read more from this author. I loved this story and look forward to more from Wendy. Hope you all love, like and enjoy Do Anything like I did!!!

Find out in "Do Anything" by Wendy Owens. A contemporary romance that shows readers that we can do anything that we set our hearts and minds too, no matter how ridiculous or extreme the ideas may seem at the time.

Reading this story was truly touched my heart. Annabelle's heart break I could feel it as she felt it. I know the feeling she felt and it hurts deeply when the one you love cheats on you. Seeing her fiancé in bed with his lover, Annabelle decides to start living her life for herself. She heads off on her journey with the wedding money her fiancé had given her for the wedding. Little did she know her journey to find herself, she finds her soul mate. It isn't easy for her it except this love because she is still broken from her previous love. Holden tells her he will wait until she heals and will be there for her. Right when she thinks she is ready to except his love and give him hers, another twist comes between them from her past. Will these two ever get what they deserve? This is a must read book to see if they get what they need or if they don't. Loved this emotional story. It has so many twist and turns it will keep you guessing until the end.

This book was kind of weird for me.

In this book, a woman named Annabelle goes abroad trying to discover herself and move on with her life after walking in on her fiancé cheating on her. While abroad, she meets Holden. I could easily see why Annabelle would fall for Holden. What was less obvious to me was why Holden would in turn fall for Annabelle.

Then something happens and Annabelle runs away from Holden and ends up back in Chicago within the clutches of her ex-fiancé.

I wasn't a fan of the twist. I wasn't a fan of how Holden treated Annabelle after the twist happened. I understood how he felt, but I didn't like it. It lost him major points in my book. I don't know, i don't do the whole insta-family thing.

This book was OK. I would have been upset to have paid for it, fortunately I read it for free.

"I was provided by the author with a free copy of this book so I could give an honest review."

Is been three days, after I finish reading this book, to finally sit at my personal spot and start writing down my thoughts about the story. Do Anything hit a spot in my heart and mind because of its topic, from the first page. Does youth relationships have rules that say the couple must be upgraded into marriage after some years of being together? Regarding what reasons, a girl or a woman at her early twenties, considers to walk through the aisle and be a marred woman? Each question has a different answer, because we women are individual different, I do know that, so each one of us has her own answers to give. What I believe is the same? We are going to live same situations into our marriage, which are going to hurt us, crush us or even distroy us, even if we do want to live happily ever after.

How do you find yourself again if you're not sure who the hell you ever were? - Annabelle

Here is Annabelle, a woman in her early twenties, ready to figure out what fate keeps for her in future, after she decided to break up with her fiancé a month before their wedding. She was a freshman in college when she first met Jack. A confident, beautiful young man, a senior if I remember correctly, who courted her with a delightful way for her tastes, making her feel special and unique. She truly felt that he was the one and only she wanted to be married with, one day. But, after the terrible accident, finding him with an other woman on their own bed, this dream of hers, fell way down and crushed into shivers. Now, after all the drama she's been dealing lately she decided to make a huge step and travels the world, all by herself.

"At this point, I'd do anything to forget what has happened, and I'm confident that the answers I seek lie over the ocean." ~ Annabelle

Annabelle is a unique soul, no matter what she believes for herself. Of course, she didn't needed a Jack to make her feel unique, but as any woman, her insecurites needed him and his ability to make things easier in her life. Having not the perfect relationship with her parents, most with her mother, Annabelle was alone when she made decisions in her life. Of course, she had Jack to talk to, but it was her bestie Kenzie who was the rock she always needed. She was blessed to have her in her life! Two beautiful souls, one vulnerable and one sassy, both down to earth but with their own anchors to keep them in hostage, Annabelle and Kenzie are the most admirable couple into the story by far. The many years of friendship, made the two women connected unconditionally deeply. It felt as family, that they could lie on and feel safe, giving them the straingth to move over their problems and live their lives with dignity and respect.

" I'm going to get some stamps in my passport, put some stories in my journal. I'm going to live" - Annabelle

What it began as a soul-searching trip, (which I can't manage to imagine how it is possible a person could find it all alone in a foreign country), ends with the most unexpected situation. When Annabelle, chose to cross the ocean and land in England, it was because of the dream she had to walk the streets all these great classics did, at their time. She loved book, she even worked as an editor, the work of her dreams, when she decided to quit it and travels the world, so England and it's old villages was the perfect place to begin with. However, the fresh air and the nature beauty of the countryside, which was so different from Chicago, plus the fact that she was all by herself with no one to share this experience, overwhelmed her very much at first. It was a really joy when Holden came into the picture...

"Oh Annabelle she has always been a good girl. That Annabelle, always has her nose in a book."

When Annabelle put her foot into The Three Horseshoes Inn the soul-searching thing took the wrong road. How can someone find who she is, when she had to live under the same roof with a gorgeous man who owned the place? Hardly I may say!! Holden was nothing like Jack! Through out the story it was obvious he wasn't. Holden had a sweet, pure soul despite he's thirty and his sad past. Advantages that where important for Annabelle to trust him and extent her stay at his inn. Both spent countless times together, they visit the countrysides and Jane's Austen house or stayed inside, infront of the fireplace and talked for hours, most about the variety of books they read and their favorite authors. Holden was the one, except Kenzie, who believed and encouraged her to write a story for her own, despite her protests. I felt mesmerized by his actions and I wanted to shout Annabelle never to leave this man..Making it harder, having so common interests was delightful for Annabelle and when Holden was so close to her, made her feel affected by him in more intimate ways.. They did have many passioned encounters than never ended in the bed, because of Annabelle's morals. She didn't wanted to be commited with an other man when she had first to found out herself and how she wanted to live her life. She couldn't let her heart and Holden's as well, to be in hurt again. That's why, when Annabelle found out about the baby she was carrying she left him intentionally....broken.

"I hear my heart beating. I think I can hear his beating as well. In unison. We want the same thing. Each other." - Annabelle

Do anything was a bright light for me to see what people, as individual ones, and me as well, are capable to make, create, do to have a happy life. To make the same decision, as Annabelle has, isn't always the best thing to do but, for her I believe was a huge step for her own happiness. Reading every line, every page of this amazing story, crearly made me see that and I understood all the parameters someone like her would act the way she did into the story. However, as hard as it was for her to keep her needs first, it was clear that when as a person she never spent a year or two alone, she couldn't easily incorporated with difficult decisions. I think it was the young of her age that didn't help her much either.
What I loved much, was the way the author narrated the story. It felt like a journal indeed, just like Annabelle wrote hers through out the story. It was so easily reading it, with a fluent writing style, which maked it the faster page-turning book I've ever read. It was an enjoyable experience, looking into a woman's world, who was having a hard time finding what to do in her life, who have found the love and care she was craved so much, who left it for the sake of both, who wrote, despite her protests, two stories before she birth her beautiful angel and then, who shout her feelings loudly and clearly. Oh, I'm undeniable consumed by this book. I may talk about it for days or weeks, because if I don't I might never stop writing all down.

Do Anything is the first of the three books for the Heart series, Wendy Owens wrote. Grab the copies and start reading them. Yes it's a romantic novel. Yes you are going to laugh a lot while you read the dialogs. Yes you are going to cry as well, while you read the love lines they shared. Don't say who to whom, you have to find it out. With my hand in my heart I truly recomment this book.

Do anything was a beautiful read, with fluent writing style, which maked it a fast page-turner!
It was an enjoyable read! Annabelle was having a hard time finding what to do with her life, after she found her fiancé with the neighbor in their bed together. Annabelle decided to do the only thing she could think of, go across the ocean to the English countryside and into the arms of an unexpected adventure!
There was a little surprise in the book, that I wasn’t expecting, which made the book even better!

I feel like there is someone for everyone, that special someone who would do anything for you and as Anna says in the book "he would do anything to make me smile." I read this book in one day. It is an easy read and flows really well. You won't want to put it down until you finish. Anna is the main character who has a low self-esteem and not sure where she wants to go in life or what she wants to do. She thinks she has it made, getting married to her dream man, having her dream job, etc. But all of this is torn apart and her world is turned upside down.

I can totally relate to Anna's story. She has her job that she thought she always wanted, but when she runs away to truly figure things out. What is it that she wants to do or which way to turn now? Is it into someone else's arms? Sometimes I think am I doing what I really want to do? But that one person is there to encourage you in the area where you think you aren't willing to push yourself to go. Holden is that person for Anna.

This would definitely be a book that I would want turned into a movie strictly to hear Holden talk and see what kind of strapping young lad he is. “All American women love British Men.”

Jack is the creeper of this story and he tries hard to fight for what he wants but will the truth be revealed to get what he is fighting for?

Both Holden & Annabelle have had heartache but will they see it in them to come together? Or will the villain show up to complicate their lives even more?

I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the second book in the series about Kenzie’s story. It Matters to Me#2 (The Wandering Heart Series) Coming Fall 2014. I can't wait to share with all my reader/book buddies!!

Annabelle Hart doesn’t have the greatest self-esteem. She tends to settle more often than she should, and she very rarely fights back when someone wrongs her. But when her world comes crumbling down—her fiancé’s true colors coming forth—Annabelle finally speaks up and begins to live for herself. Caught in a whirl-wind romance she wasn’t expecting, Annabelle begins to find herself, only to have a bomb shell dropped on her that changes everything.

This is a beautifully written story of heart-ache, new beginnings, and the fierceness of a mother’s love. Truth be told, I thought this NA novel was lovely from the very beginning, but it wasn’t necessarily setting itself apart from the many others I’ve read before it. That is, until Owens threw a kink into the story that I never expected; a kink that set this novel apart from all the rest, placing it in its own category of love and protection. And I loved it!

The characterization is superb—all the characters, even the despicable fiancé, are extremely real and easy to relate to, given the shifting circumstances throughout the novel. Annabelle has some extremely difficult choices to make throughout the novel, and I must say, I don’t envy her at all. And while I might not have made all the same choices in the end, she is an extremely strong character that came into herself as the novel unfolded, and I really enjoyed her.
Holden is, of course, extremely swoon-worthy, and I want him all to myself… Owens has indeed drafted the perfect man, and as he too picks up the pieces of his life, both his and Annabelle’s happily ever after dream is realized.

This book was a very good easy read. I really liked Holden..he's an honest, enlightening, beautiful person who will do anything for the one person he lives..,Anna.

Annabelle or -Anna to some or Belle to Holden was broken and lost. She finds a fiancé in the midst of cheating..(literally) in their own bed, and makes a hasty decision to run. And that she did. Lost in her own world, she wasn't sure what to do. She ends up in England and forms a friendship with Holden that was everlasting, but even Anna wasn't sure what to do. Being scared and alone is understandable, but continuing to run was something that kind of angered me. I know she was hurt, but the way she used Holden. knowing he was in love with her didn't sit well with me.

The taking advantage part of Holden, and even her best friend Kenzie, made Anna even more less formidable to me. I wish this book gave us more of the love- feeling that I wanted from them. It's there but just not enough.

Am I glad I read this book? Yes.. Would I recommend it to someone? Yes. Did it give me the feels I wanted? Not really.. I think the ending was rushed.. We could've had more at the end to give us more. With that being said, I'm not sorry I read it. If I could read more Holden I would do it in a heartbeat.

Breathtakingly real story line that any true romance fan will love. Do Anything was written with such mind to detail that all the characters felt real to me. I wanted to root for each one of them, Annabelle and Holden needed each other but twisted and turns kept you full of emotions. Annabelle has a low self-esteem and isn’t sure what she wants out of life, making her really relatable. Holden is British making him more than words “swoon-worthy”, he had a bad past, and not sure what he needs until Annabelle. This book made me laugh, have tears and yell out in protest when one character make the wrong choice.

This is a quick read that you can’t put down and leaves you wishing that it was longer. It amazing and everyone should read it, like right now. Perfect for a day at the beach or a train ride. Must Read!

This is a gorgeous timeless love story..that made me want to curl up at the inn and become part it. Firstly, I think Wendy Owens did a fabulous job writing the lead character, Annabelle. She starts off as a shy, book worm with low self-esteem, but after her ex-fiancé breaks her heart, we get to see her find herself and true love. This book is rather short, but I still remained on the edge of my seat while reading it. Do Anything is a suspenseful, heart wrenching novel that you won't be able to put down. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good romance novel.

This is a fantastic read! The writing and characters draw you in and you can't put the book down! I fell in love with the characters and I am very happy to read that book #2 is in the works. While reading this book I found myself in shock/disbelief, busting out laughing, and I shed a few tears. This book is a must read and I highly recommend it!!!! *****5 AMAZING Stars!! ***** Extremely well done Wendy Owens!!!

Holden and Belle is a wonderful love story. You could understand what each was going through and you rooted for them to get together, but understood that Belle wasn't ready yet. When someone breaks your trust it makes oyu question everyone, including yourself.

While I found Anna to be kind of bothersome with her over analyzing everything (then she tells herself to chill) I still enjoyed the story. I like Holden and how great a job he does in being patient and VERY understanding. Very enjoyable read!

Second Chance Love

I enjoyed the story a lot because it was different than the run of the mill second chance love stories. Belle doesn't make the best choices and Holden isn't perfect, but together they're happy.

Great relaxing read. I was looking just for a book that had a great romantic story lines

I would read another by this author. Very natural moving story. Kept my interest, in fact I thought it ended a little too soon. Maybe could have wrapped the story a little less abrupt

How would you handle walking in on your fiance having sex with a neighbor? Annabelle Hart's reaction surprised me. I was hooked. So glad I found this book that had so many unusual twists on the old theme of girl catches boy-runs away-makes a better life-lives happily ever after. Because Anna isn't like any other girl I have known or read about, perhaps because she had lost all sense of herself and self worth. She decides to liquidate and go on a trip of discovery. Her best friend moves into the condo and proceeds to sell everything while Anna goes first to England. Her desire is to never spend more than 2 weeks in any one place, and see what she wants-such as where writers lived and worked. She decides on a whim to leave London and go to where Jane Austin lived and wrote. She finds a place to stay that is a small country inn, where she meets the owner, Holden. What follows is one of the sweetest and light hearted story of two people attracted to each other and getting to know each other, and maybe even falling in love. That is until Annabelle discovers a unsettling fact that threatens to change their entire future.

It was interesting to be inside Anna's mind and see her process changes in her life. Probably the best thing for her was breaking off the engagement and taking the trip, because she finally focused on what direction she wanted her life to go. I liked the way the author wove Anna's thoughts into the daily life, and showed us time and time again that she didn't play games or mind tricks with people. By the end of the book you feel like she was a real person who had finally grown into an adult. I also liked the way the author handled rejection and reconciliation with family and the ex. It was a book that I looked forward to reading, yet enjoyed savoring and not rushing.

Sweet and satisfying, this book is meant for romance lovers of all ages.

This is the fourth book in the Stubborn Love series but it can definitely be read as a standalone as I have not read the other books in the series and was able to follow the story extremely well.
In this story Annabelle thinks she has her whole life figured out. She has her dream job as an assistant editor at a publishing firm where she is paid to read amazing books and she is getting ready to marry her college sweetheart. All this comes crashing down when she walks in on him having sex with their neighbor from across the hall. After breaking up with him she decides that she needs some time to do some soul searching so she puts her condo up for sale and travels to England. Her goal is to visit all the places that inspired the great authors she admires and hopefully fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming an author herself. Things are going well until she arrives at an inn called the Three Horseshoes and she meets Holden, the owner of the inn. She and Holden have an immediate attraction but both of them have been hurt. Just when Annabelle is beginning to let her guard down her past comes back in a big way. Will Annabelle and Holden be able to get over the hurt they have both experienced in the past and learn to trust each other again? Will Annabelle ever be able to move on from her past and build a future? Find out in this soul searching romance.
I absolutely loved this book. I really identified with Annabelle in that she had a difficult relationship that she had to get over and be able to find herself again. I admire how she had the courage to travel to another country on her own with no plan other than that she wanted to find herself. This was a great romance but also a great book just with Annabelle’s adventures and how she was able to find her own happily ever after.
I give this book 5 stars.

When small house editor Annable walks in on her fiancee in bed with the hot chick from across the hall, she kicks him to the curb She then flees the windy city for at first Greece and then England, Alton to be exact, to arrive and catch the eye of the jilted Innkeeper Holden, who encourage's her to write her story until she flees from him when finds herself pregnant by her philandering ex- and his wealthy family! Does she follow her heart with the innkeeper Holden or give in to the demands of her ex- and his family?

I am not a fan of romance novels, and I took this on as a challenge, but Wendy Owens kept me on the edge of my seat with Annabelle and Holden's romance! It had a de[th of human contact that was unlike anything like the Epic Fantasy novels I usually swim through! It was a great read and as I personally going through a divorce at the time of reading found me identifying with the great depth of emotions of the characters. She has not followed up as yet with a sequel but I would follow even more growth from this pair.

This is my very first book by Wendy Owens and it is quite special. This is a very well written but a complicated story full of twists, turns. I had a few tears, there's angst but personal growth after cheating. Annabelle's low self esteem seems to draw her to negative situations and she allows others to walk all over her at first - it is rewarding reading how she finds her way in spite of her as*h*l* cheating fiancé. The characters are so well written and relatable. I wasn't sure this story was for me. I tend to run from stories that may leave you down but I kept at it and was so glad I did. The twists are well worth it. Definitely a fan of this author! Great book

I normally don't do the contemporary romance genre, but this was free on Amazon so I downloaded it as I needed a book! Fast read, surprisingly enjoyable, but some parts did read like it was trying to be a heavy romance novel. Those parts were few and far between so it didn't distract from the story for me. Woman decides to cancel wedding and take off to England to start a world adventure after catching her fiance in bed with another woman. She finds love in an unlikely spot and a new relationship develops.

I voluntarily read this book as an ARC for a honest review!
I felt heart broken right along with Annabelle. I was so happy when she decide to take the money from her cheating ex and go find herself. I was upset with her for not seeing the love in front of her from Holden. But then I realized she was hurt by her cheating ex and needed time to figure out that she found her soul mate. I love all the twists and love. This is an amazing new start after betrayal romance. The characters are well thought out and work so very well together.
