This book is definitely in my favourite shelf. It is the most heart-breaking and touching from all of the series. I don’t know why, I think Remember Me is the master piece from the series itself. It’s a rare thing to find a book where both of the characters are unlikeable and antagonist in the previous series. The story plot is beautifully written. It is a gut wrenching story but not over emotional like other tear-jerker books.
Shane and Ashley are both imperfect. Yes, they’ve made a lot of mistakes and screwed their friend’s lives but when they are left together, they fought hard to build their lives. Jennifer Foor did a remarkable job in making us feel like we are there in the scene, watching they try to create a future life with Ashley’s twin pregnancy is on the way. Truthfully, my eyes did glazed and watery, and yes I might exhaled a lot so I wouldn’t be a tear jerker but some parts of the story are filled with raw emotion and full of sobbing. I never would’ve imagined that Shayne and Ashley grew into strong characters. From hatred, they have to stick together; slowly they accept and finally love each other.
I didn’t need their opinions, because they didn’t matter to me. “Ash, it’s me, Shayne. I’m not goin’ anywhere, baby. You take as much time as you need to get better. When you open up those eyes, I’m goin’ to be here. You need to get better, because the twins need their mommy. I need her too.”
“We can get through anything, Ash. Just come back to me. I love you so much.”
Remember Me is not just about love story but it also told us about building a family from scratch. I hope this honest review will make you want to read the book...read and I hope you get the same vibe like I did.
