Remember Me

Rate this book
Shayne Hutchinson has finally come to grips with what love is. He's devoted himself to raising his brother's unborn twin children as his own. He's also committed himself to a relationship with the mother, Ashley.

As much as she tries to make amends for the past, Ashley is still not completely accepted by Shayne's family. When the twins are born, it finally takes her a step toward healing and being a part of the family she's always loved.

The couple is happy, and for the first time, both have something other than themselves to be responsible for. A beautiful future is ahead of them and they're hopeful.
When a terrible tragedy takes place, it will take a lot more than prayer and family to heal the wounds of the people involved.
This book is about the importance of family and what one man will do to protect two little children, even when they aren't really his.

I would give this book 4 and 1/2 stars. In the first two books, I really disliked Ashley and Shayne. I could not stand them, but towards the end of the second book, they kind of grew on me. In this book, I loved them. They both grew up when they fell in love and Shayne decided to claim the twins as his own. Tragedy hits and their love and happiness are tested. During the last half of the book, I cried a lot. I went through the same thing with my father, so it brought all of those emotions out. I could really relate to Shayne and his emotions and devotion during this time.

I love reading erotica, but I am so pleased that this book is more of a romance novel than a story filled with sex in almost every chapter. Shayne and Ash's relationship started out as friendship and then became romantic, so I thought the way this book was written was perfect. I read the first two books in this series, but not the third one. I think it's a must to read the first two, just so that you can really see how Shayne and Ash's relationship started. Remember Me is probably my favorite story out of this series. It is a must read!

~~ 5 Emotional Stars ~~

Another hit for Jenn Foor. I absolutely loved that we got to see this side of both Shayne and Ashley. This book was so much more emotional to me then the others in this series. This is probably because the subject matter hit really close to home. I can't say more about it because it would spoil the story.

I'll just say that if you are a J4 fan you will want to read this book!!!!

OMG that was freaking emotional.

What an awesome read.

I want to say more, but I don't want to give a single thing away. You need to go into this story just knowing the characters.

0% My next read :) though I probably wont start it to tomorrow - lifes also so busy atm so reading time is limited :/

4% Im so excited for their book - against all the odds I started to fall for them in the 2nd book and this beginning chapter just makes me sooo happy that this book is all about them! :D I hope Im really gonna love this one - I haven't been this excited about a jenn foor book in a while! :) Just wish I could sit and get lost in it :( Im really in the mood for this book :

7% I know you’re going to break my heart, but I can’t stop myself.” He seemed defeated and shook his head. “You’re wrong, Ash. I promise you that this is different. I’ll spend as long as it takes proving that to you
Im really liking Ash - she's made her mistakes (everyone makes them) but she seems genuinely sorry :) Im totally in the mood for this one :D

10% It was life changing, and possibly something that I’d never be prepared for, but it was my choice. From their first breath, I wanted them to be mine and I was going to make sure that nobody could ever take them away from me
Okay I've definitely fallen for Shayne - he may have been a prick before but loving Ashley and the twins has definitely brought out the real Shayne!! :D <3

12% I walked them to the door and sent them on their way without losing it. By the time that it clicked shut I fell to the floor crying. My emotions were crazy and I couldn’t control them. No matter how I tried to spin Shayne and Lacey, my mind continued to take it to places that I didn’t want to discover
Oh Ashley :'(

13% There was also someone else whose life had been destroyed. Ashley lost her boyfriend and her best friend. Ford had shut her out, forcing her to grieve alone
I love getting more of an insight on why Ashley acted like she did - I feel bad for her! She definitely didn't go about things the right way but she was just hurting and didn't know how to cope/act :(

15% “If that’s all it is, then why do you keep it a secret?” I heard her voice changing and could tell she was getting upset. “Calm down, Ash. I didn’t mean anything by not tellin’ you. We’re together and nobody is going to change that
I love that they're talking about things and being mature! I hate unnecessary drama! :)

17% Are you not taking care of yourself? A good mother takes care of her kids.” If he wasn’t Shayne’s dad I would have slapped him in his face, right there and then. “I take -” Shayne didn’t let me finish. He walked over with Eli still in his arms. “Ash takes care of herself and the twins. Don’t you dare come in here and accuse her of somethin’ that ain’t true
I so don't like his dad! And Im so happy that Shayne has come to her defense! <3

18% Apparently, I was a total fuck-up that didn’t deserve to have the perfect life I was living. If Shayne was smart he’d get out before the twins could remember him ever being there. Eventually, he’d resent me for our life and I didn’t want that. As much as I loved him, and looked forward to our future, I knew I couldn’t keep him. He was never mine to have
Oh Ashley! You do deserve it you just made mistakes - how long are you gonna punish yourself for them :(

25% Feeling like I had nowhere else to turn, I unfolded the paper and called my cousin
Oh shayne!! <3 I love how he'll do whatever he has to to give his family a good life! :D

31% Picture two grown adults, running as fast as possible to get down a narrow hall to our room. Of course, the key card wouldn’t work
hahaha I LOVE this image! Im loving these two together and how much they cant wait to finally be together! <3

36% believed that no matter what we went through, he’d always be there
I feel foreshadowing... :(

39% We both turned, my shorts around my ankles, and me still being fully inside of my girlfriend. “What the
.... oh shit! haha oops! :)

40% Ash jumped at the sound and then threw her body against my chest. Calming her down was only half the battle
Oh poor Ashley! Though I love that she had Shaynes back! <3

42% I looked out the window for what seemed like a minute, but realized we were already at the store. It was weird and I shook it off as being over-tired. Obviously, I hadn’t fallen asleep as I was sitting up with my eyes open
...... I don't like this - im nervous :(

45% I might have screwed up every other thing I’d ever had my hands in, but I knew this was something that I’d never give up on. Not ever
I love these two but I feel like this is foreshadowing :( Im scared of whats coming :(

47% Don’t get me wrong, Ash, I know I’m their dad, but a part of me wonders if someday he’ll try to be more than an uncle. I don’t know what I’d do if that happened. It’s not even my parents that I worry about findin’ out. It’s just about losing the respect of two children that I consider mine in every way. I hold Beka every night and I tell her that her daddy loves her. I don’t say that about someone else. I say it about me, because I’m her daddy. God, I’m too tired to be talkin’ about this.” I leaned my forehead against his lips. While he kissed me there, my hands lifted up around his neck. “As long as I’m alive, no one will ever take those children from you. I promise.” I meant that too. I wasn’t going to let my family, or even his, take those kids from him
Awww Shayne!!! <3 I sense foreshadowing.... I don't like it! Im scared! :(

49% Oh, just shut up! Just shut up and listen to your only daughter for once. You’ve never been there for me, not when I needed you. Now I’ve got my own children and I’m watching their father love them. I’m watching him miss them and want to spend every second with them. You never wanted to be like that. All you’ve ever done is buy my love. You’re pathetic and I’m over it
Go Ash!! <3 <3 I love that shes finally stood up to him - I totally HATE her father!!!! -_-

53% I surely didn’t want to think that it was going to be bad news, and certainly not the last time I’d ever see her again
I really really don't like the sound of this! :'(

56% After all I’d done to my cousin, after all Ash had done, he was there, sitting beside me when I felt like I was all alone. I couldn’t muster up the courage to say anything more than, “Thanks
Ford! <3 Poor Shayne - hes hurting my heart! I HATE HER FATHER SO FUCKING MUCH!!! -_-

62%
“Take care of them. Jesus, Shayne, this shit has gone too far. I can’t stand here watchin’ you taken care of them. They ain’t your responsibility.” “The hell they ain’t.” I looked down at Eli and then back up at my brother. “This is my son, Parker. Do you understand that? I. Am. His. Father. I’m not doin’ this for you, bro. I’m doin’ it because I love them, because in every way that counts they’re mine. Get out of here with your pathetic attempt to make things right. I’m right where I want to be, and there ain’t a single person that will ever change my mind.”
I love Shayne sooo fucking much!!!! <3 <3 <3

64% I was very mistaken.
Oh no :( Now the title makes sense :'(

65% I sobbed like I’d never seen a grown man do. I cried in that bathroom for what may never be, for what might never come. All of my hope was dissipating, leaving me alone and helpless
Oh Shayne! :'( :'( My hearts breaking for you! It'll be okay - it has to be!! :'(

69% My once clear focus on my future was gone and replaced with emptiness. In that moment, I had nothing and I couldn’t even think of one reason to keep going
Oh my god! SHAYNE! :'( :'( If I thought my heart was breaking before its broke now! :'(

73% I felt her there with me. She was holding my hand and whispering in my ear to not give up on her, to never give up on her
omg! these two need a hea - they totally deserve it! They belong together! My hearts breaking - I cant put this book down!

76% Suddenly everything I’d done the night before almost seemed like it had been a good idea after all. As much as I wanted my future with Ashley, the more I thought about it, the more I knew he’d never let it happen
Oh Shayne! :'( I hate her father so fucking much!!!! -_- Ashley needs to remember!!! :'(

79% His next words pissed me off so much that Ford had to grab my arm to keep me from kicking his ass. “We talked about this already. What if she doesn’t get better? What if that kid keeps pushing himself on her and she remembers? Do you really want to lose her again? She never has to remember her last words to me. She’ll be safe in our home. We’ll take care of the twins
:O I hate him so much! he doesn't want her to get better - he doesn't want her to remember coz he knows he'll lose her coz hes an arsehole! -_-

84% I freaking lost it
OMG!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

86% The energy in the room shifted and there wasn’t an adult with dry eyes in the building
SO FUCKING PERFECT!!! <3 <3 <3

89% He’ll change. I did.” “Yeah, maybe. We just never taught you kids to ignore your responsibilities, not that I’d ever condone him changin’ his mind about the twins. I know for a fact he’ll never do that.” “I hope you’re right, because nothin’ is goin’ to take them away from me ever again.” “Trust me when I say this, kid, that’s never goin’ to happen
Aww I do like Shaynes dad - he was there when he was needed :) Im glad they all get on now! :)

95% I loved the old Ashley, but the new version of her owned me. She needed to know that, and I knew a way to make it all fall into place
I love these two ! They're perfect for each other!! <3 <3

97% When I stood up and kissed her, my redneck family started whistling and hooting all sorts of sexual comments
I love this family - despite everything theyre there for each other when they need to be! :D

99% Those were the last words that my father said to me
oh my god... It makes abit more sense now and I suppose I do kinda feel sorry for him in a way :/ But he could have handled everything a hell of a lot better! That is some secret to keep :/

100% Amazing! I loved it! 4.5 stars rounded down to 5 - so much better then the last book! I fell for these two straight away and hated putting it down!

This book is almost a 5 star book. Real tear jerker.. The only problem I had with it is that the Author obviously does not know anything about child birth and what happens after. She should have at least asked one of her friends to make the book a little more realistic. Come on just a little research could have made this book more realistic. Other than that it was a great book.

We love Jenn Foor and her style of writing! And this one is sure to put your emotions into a tail spin. Remember me, the forth book in the Kin series is Shayne and Ash's story. Holy hotness! What a way to start a story, if you think you know Shayne you can think again!

Shayne and Ashely are living together and have recently confessed their feelings for one another; they're giving their relationship a shot. Ashley can't help but wonder; is Shayne staying because he feels an obligation to his family and the twins or because of the hot chemistry he feels for her?

"There ain’t nobody that’s ever given me what you have. This is what I want. You’re what I want"

When the twins are born Shayne and Ashley realise just how strong their love is for one another. You can feel their connection and love for one another, they way Shayne talks to her and dotes on her is beautiful. While they are adjusting to life as a family their other family members aren't their biggest supporters. Shayne doesn't care, he loves Ash and the family they have started together, if his family don't like it, tough! Ash is it for him.

When Shanye's dad is being an ass he turns to his cousin and best friend, Ford for help. Shayne's life is all coming together for once, he has the women he loves, two healthy babies, a new job and now a house that once renovated will be everything they ever wanted.

Just as life can’t get any better for them, tragedy strikes. Will This strong family unit be enough for them to survive? As they embark on one hell of a ride, their relationship will be pushed to the limit, their family will crumble, but will they all pull through?

"As long as I’m alive, no one will ever take those children from you. I promise"

One family member holds the key to their happiness, but just when you think you have it all figured out, their happiness comes to a screeching halt. True to Jenn’s style this book is everything we could have asked for. This book proved us wrong, and definitely changed our opinions on some of the characters.

This book is definitely in my favourite shelf. It is the most heart-breaking and touching from all of the series. I don’t know why, I think Remember Me is the master piece from the series itself. It’s a rare thing to find a book where both of the characters are unlikeable and antagonist in the previous series. The story plot is beautifully written. It is a gut wrenching story but not over emotional like other tear-jerker books.

Shane and Ashley are both imperfect. Yes, they’ve made a lot of mistakes and screwed their friend’s lives but when they are left together, they fought hard to build their lives. Jennifer Foor did a remarkable job in making us feel like we are there in the scene, watching they try to create a future life with Ashley’s twin pregnancy is on the way. Truthfully, my eyes did glazed and watery, and yes I might exhaled a lot so I wouldn’t be a tear jerker but some parts of the story are filled with raw emotion and full of sobbing. I never would’ve imagined that Shayne and Ashley grew into strong characters. From hatred, they have to stick together; slowly they accept and finally love each other.

I didn’t need their opinions, because they didn’t matter to me. “Ash, it’s me, Shayne. I’m not goin’ anywhere, baby. You take as much time as you need to get better. When you open up those eyes, I’m goin’ to be here. You need to get better, because the twins need their mommy. I need her too.”

“We can get through anything, Ash. Just come back to me. I love you so much.”

Remember Me is not just about love story but it also told us about building a family from scratch. I hope this honest review will make you want to read the book...read and I hope you get the same vibe like I did.

The best memories are bitter sweet

Another Jennifer Foor hit!! She took characters that we may not have liked or hated in previous books and made us fall in love with them and fight for them. There are tears as you can't imagine this happening to you. Frustration at the evil bad people getting the upper hand. But also lots of humor, passion, joy, and hard work. And now a bit about the story...

Ash and Shayne were happy and in love. About to become parents to twins, yet have never made love. Shayne started by taking his brothers place, but as he watched Ash and the babies grow they feel in love. When tragedy struck recently after the twins were born Shayne was lost and wasn't sure how he and Ash would beat the odds, would his memories be enough?

Favorite passages:
- “The hell we can’t. She’s coming. Make sure you have pants on.”
- “You don’t have to chase me. I’m already yours.”
- “You know, I don’t care how long it takes. I’m goin’ to prove them all wrong. I’m goin’ to show our whole family, and Ash’s that I can be a good father. One day they’ll apologize for doubting me. You mark my words, cuz. I’m goin’ to be the best f*ck*n’ father those kids could ever have.”
- “You’ve got to have patience and faith. It’s the only way.”
- “At least if you tried and fail, you can look back and know that you didn’t give up.”

Big ole fat tears for the love and heartbreak these characters go through.
J4 you did it again. You make me love characters that were ones I once hated.
I just love that the author can do this.
She makes you connect with them and then they become your favorite characters!
Ashley and Shayne go through some pretty traumatic stuff.
You see there love for each other and hope and pray everything turns out good in the end.
The author does not disappoint!!

can't wait for more of this series!

A four star book.
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Shayne finally devotes himself to raising his brothers unborn twin children as his own after he comes too grips with what love is.
Ashley is still not completely accepted by Shayne's family even though she tries to make amends.
When a terrible tragedy takes place will the family and prayers help heal the wounds of all involved.

I honestly couldn't stand Shayne in book two but in this one we see a completely different Shayne.
Him and Ashley from the first page try to make a go of things between them. Sometimes i felt Shayne was more invested in the relationship then Ashley was but as i kept reading I could see she was making an effort.
When a terrible tragedy strikes that's when the crying started for me. I felt bad for Shayne so much and all he was going thru.
I could really see with Ashley after having the twins how she was trying so hard to change. She still had a few catty moments but you could see she was really making the effort.
Well written really kept me hooked thru out the whole book.

I must say I never cared for these two characters much in the the past books, but as usual Jennifer Foor you have redeemed them for me.
Ashley and Shane seem to have their life on track when they are dealt a hefty blow. It cuts them at their knees and had me sobbing for Shane and what he was enduring. I felt his pain and helplessness.
When you reach rock bottom you either give up or fight. Well Shane did both. In the moment he decided to give up a small voice told him to fight. So he did.
I love how this came together
Now I get the title. Thank Jenn Foor

To have met these two previously and then go through their journey was heartbreaking, but it showed just how love can conquer all and even with all the obstacles. Not giving up and remaining strong is important. This is a must read to show you what having strength, faith, love and support means. You may not agree with Ashley's choices in the past, but you will really get to know her now. You will also see a new side of Shayne that would make any mother proud. Sit back and enjoy their journey and what they have to face

This series keeps getting better and better. I was up all night because I couldn't put this book down. Keep your tissues handy, this book had me crying. I love Shayne, how he stepped up, lost his girlfriend and took Ashley in. He was beyond honorable. I didn't like Ashley, but in this book she redeemed herself. I actually really love them as a couple. Don't want this series to end. I want more of Ford,Sky, Lacey and Joey. Really love the characters in this series.

I am giving this book five stars because I loved it. You have Shane who isn't the father of the twins but doesn't see it that way he falls in love with Ashley not realizing it. He loved her without even having sex with her the whole pregnancy or until after six weeks. Then after what happened he showed how mature he was. As for his brother I feel bad for him because he was so immature he needs to grow up.

This book broke my heart Shayne sure didnt deserve to go through this when he finally found his soul mate. Parker has alot to do to prove himself in his book cause he has just made me so mad in this one. I loved how Peyton stepped up to help Shayne out and that Ford finally worked through his issues with him to help him out. There was just so much emotion in this book i almost couldnt handle it. Ash's dad got what he deserved THANKFULLY!!!

Another great book in this series. Loved reading about Shane and Ashley, life was going so good and then OMG what a HUGE twist. Shane was all alone and had to deal with so much crap, then it just kept getting worse. Thank goodness for Megan and Ford for helping him get back on track.

The bathtub scene when Ashley gets home was soooooo hot!

Looking forward to the next book.

This book took me completely by surprise as the Kin Series just gets better and better. Without giving too much away this story was tugging at my heart strings from the beginnings and it was truly devastating to read at some points. But over all I was blown away by the story and the honest and sweet narrative of Shayne. For fans of Jennifer Foor this is a must read!
