BOK: The Memoir of a Dysfunctional Dog

Rate this book
When Bok, a geriatric Chow-Lab mix, finds herself accidently floundering in the dark waters of her back yard pool, she realizes she needs to tell her life story before it becomes to late to do so. So, in first person, the canine storyteller details her life and interactions with a variety of four and two footed residents of her lair.

With wit and psychological insight, Bok speaks of enduring the traumas of obedience school and visits to the vet, spending a night in "doggy jail", and her disruption of a church's outdoor event. Through her experiences and those of her canine house-mates, Bok delivers a sensitive, sometimes humorous story of love and compassion.

Delightful

A pure joy to read, especially since I was privileged to have known or met the dogs in the book.
