The Day of the Space Voyager

Rate this book
Combining contemplative spirituality, mysticism, and cosmic wonder into an inspiring tale of self-discovery, The Day of the Space Voyager is both a fantastic adventure and a provocative parable for the 21st century.

James Parker Walker's novel shares the metaphysical wanderings of an old hermit who learns that everything he has ever known is false. His quest for the truth takes him to places he never imagined, experienced on all levels of awareness. The deeper his true identity is revealed, the more he discovers the nature of being and the meaning of life.

This intimate journey offers the reader new ways of thinking about the power of being and the importance of belonging—to those we love, to the universe, and to ourselves.

A Step thru time….

Jim Walker captures a world unknown yet familiar, foreign yet comfortable, unknown person yet persons of the heart. God is at the center of all; and whatever happens we choose who we become. Read these words and enjoy the imagery, the creativity and the comfort that all is well.
Well done, Mr. Walker! In my mind’s eye the world you transcend through the words on paper are a delightful, yet scary at times, dip into that which is unknown but comforting. I Recommend this book for an excellent read.

At the age of 102, believing his life is behind him, and anticipating his death, a hermit discovers that he is not who he believes himself to be. His search for the truth is as much a journey within himself as it is an epic adventure through space. Lots to ponder. Lots of adventure
