I have a feeling this series is only going to get better and better as the series progresses. I liked this second installment more than the first. The story is getting a little more complex and is starting to break away from other published works with similar story lines. My only criticism is that there seems to be several grammatical errors throughout the novella. I am looking forward to the upcoming novellas in this serial series.

This series is killing me! I'm definitely impressed. I tend to read to read paranormal, and thought that after the whole 50 Shades scene, I really wouldn't find myself enjoying any other dom/sub books. I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone with SE Reign. This is becoming much more of a real "story" to me than a sex book. Can't wait to see where book 3 goes!

I liked this book even more than the first. It was about twice as long and sucked me in right away as it picked up where the first book left off. I find this series to be addictive as it captures the essence of a powerful billionaire who gets what he wants when he wants it. I feel the back and forth, push and pull of emotions between both Elijah and Natalie. Elijah can't figure out what makes Natalie so irresistible. He simply can't get enough of her. They don't understand each others worlds yet, but with each day that passes, they both find themselves making sacrifices for the other.
Little by little, I feel EJ becoming more human and less cold. He has moments where he seems to truly care about Natalie beyond the deal they have going. Right when I feel this, something in the plots rips the thought from my head as I realize they still have a very long way to go if they ever want more from this arrangement. At times I feel sorry for Natalie and wish she would speak her mind. Other times, I remember why she is in the arrangement in the first place, and it all makes sense. As hard as she is trying to keep her emotions in check, she is failing. I feel her falling more for EJ everyday.
Both characters have very calculating personalities that are still human even if they feel very methodical. I know the story is going to take yet another turn before it finishes. I look forward to reading book three as soon as it is available. These stories are sexy and downright HOT! You will want ice cream with all the toppings once you finish this book!

Tainted is the second part in the serialize series 101 Nights by SE Reign. It follows up on Claimed. Natalie has agreed to EJ’s offer, to be his pretend fiancé to appease his father’s request that EJ change his playboy ways before he is announced as heir for the crown of Nijala. In doing this, EJ has promised not to tear down Natalie’s family and friends homes.
As the story rolls on, Natalie realized that EJ is a dom and that he wants her to become his sub… in all things. It’s a battle of wills and the heart as these two try to make their farce of a relationship believable to everyone. What they don’t count on is falling for each other in the process. There is sex, secrets, feelings, betrayal, and more sex that will keep you entertained and guessing.
I can’t wait to finish this serialized series to see where it takes EJ and Natalie… will she be forced to marry EJ and become a Queen with a dominant King or will they ruin each other in the process?

Still not sure I like EJ. The man waffles between redeemable and arrogant ass. Don't get me wrong, this book is just as hot as the first book, but outside of the bedroom, I'm not sure how Natalie is going to survive this deal.
The one good redeemable thing about EJ is that he has been monogamous. Given he didn't know Natalie was safe and he had unprotected sex with her, being the man whore that he is, she'd have to worry about what she could catch. Especially since no where in this deal did he say he had to be monogamous. Natalie is beginning to develop feelings for EJ and has to remind herself that he is only in this for the throne. And with someone reminding her with the secrets texts that she doesn't tell EJ about, she realizes there is more going on than she knows. She doesn't necessarily trust the person sending her the texts, but is well aware that EJ is using her and is liable to be hiding more serious secrets than she is.
The story is moving along at a good pace, but again, although I like Natalie, I'm still struggling with him even though I get it. I just could not see being at someone's beck and call, and be treated like a possession. That isn't to say I didn't jump right into the next book, because I am still hoping he is salvageable.

Tainted picks up one week after Claimed ended and I just have to say if you thought the sex was hot in Claimed, this one will leave you burning in flames. Elijah may be a man of power who likes control, but he and Natalie will definitely make you laugh. In this book Natalie realizes just how different her life is compared to Elijah and questions whether or not she has made the right choice in basically signing over her life. Text messages from an unknown source showing her things about Elijah she never knew, warnings from his aunt and knowing he’s hiding more secrets has Natalie friend Alisha digging deep but while Alisha is digging up Elijah’s past what does Natalie also has something to hide. This book keeps you hooked from beginning to end and leaves you wanting more.

OMG - SE Reign just keeps making them better and better. I loved CLAIMED (book 1 of the 101 Nights) and I loved TAINTED a little bit more!!!
I don't like spoilers but let me say this -- Natalie proves that she would do just about anything for her family and Elijah starts to show a little bit of compassion. They both need to work on learning to trust people and to talk a little more and stop jumping to conclusions. That is all I am going to say without giving away the whole store.
Be sure that when you sit down to read this that you have some dedicated time to read - because once you start the book, you are NOT going to want to stop until you finish!!!

Tainted (101 Nights #2) by S.E. Reign

It is so sad so see Elijah and Natalie not really able to fully trust each other. It is so realistic to the inner dialogue that so many people have in their heads. The miscommunication and lack of communication between them is kind of expected since they both have so many reasons to not automatically trust each other. The passion they have for each other, is yet again explosive, or rather, even more so as they spend more time together. I was hooked again, throughout this whole story.

Arghhh I hate short books! Just as you get hooked they stop, leaving you wanting, and this time I don't have the next book in the series on my Kindle.
But... This is going to be an addictive as hell serial, I'm already hooked and it's just going to get worse.
EJ - bad guy that you really want to be a good guy, Natalia - an innocent you just know is going to be ruined, and more hot sex than you can throw a stick at. Both have secrets in their past, and I know the suspense is only going to get more intense.
I'm really enjoying this plot line and can't wait to see where it goes.

I like the first installment but, oh boy oh boy!! the second one just sucked me in!
The suspense is touchable! You know there is so much more going on you just keep reading unable to put it down!
Again I love the characters they have so much depth to them and they are so complex. I still want to shake them both for being the way they are and at the same time I would change them one bit.
I can't wait to see what happen in the next one I am totally hooked!!

I thought I loved the first book in the series but this one is even better. There are still the very steamy scenes between EJ and Natty but they also develop their relationship. You can really see how their issues affect their decisions and how they are both fighting what they feel for each other.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series and see what is going to happen between them :)
Definitely recommended if you loved FSoG and the Crossfire Series :)

Tainted is a great second book. It gave more insight to a lot and answered some questions. Still waiting on more books to answer the rest. I still love the couple. I love the chemistry between them. The sex between them rocks. Chocolate and Caramel.. Enough said. :D I wish the author would take more time to read through and fix errors. Other than that a great book and looking forward to the next one.

EJ continues to pull Natalie further under his spell, but he's falling too - and he's not happy about it. There is lots of intrigue and hot, hot sex in this installment. Sweet Natalie is so out of her element and the sharks are circling - an anonymous texter, EJ's aunt, an ex of EJ and the press. I'm really enjoying this series, although I do hate this serial style!

This series has just the right amount of suspense and sexual tension to keep me reading till I was done. Couldn't put it down. On to the next one.
