Quickies Volume 1 Short Story Collection

Rate this book
Enjoy more than forty fantastic short stories you're going to love. Some are dramatic, some are loving, and some are downright dirty. The stories range from five-minute "quickies" to longer ones that take an hour or so to read.

They're perfect for when you're stuck waiting in line, trying to relax for a few minutes before bed, or for a quick fix during your lunch break.

As many novels that I've written, short stories are sort of my "thing." They've saved my sanity more times than I can count. This is a single author short story anthology. If you're a loyal reader of my work, you might recognize some old friends (with a few little extras).

I love them...I know you will, too.

Shayne McClendon is the author of more than fifty published books and over six hundred short stories (and counting).

She writes heart-pounding romantic fiction as Shayne McClendon, thrilling paranormal romance as Sabrina Rue, and LGBTQ+ action-packed erotica as Charlize Rojos. Recently, she started writing light novels as Honeycomb and is absolutely loving how fun it is!

Shayne spends most of her waking hours writing in one genre or another. Currently living in Tulsa, Oklahoma near her kids (who are all grown up now) and kept company by the best furry companions on the planet, this author takes the hermit lifestyle to a whole different level.

Coffee consumption is too high, amount of sleep is too low, but the words always feel just right.

If you’re looking for your next great read...look no further than Shayne McClendon! Her dramatic and erotic romances will grab hold and not let you go until the very last page.

WOW! Shayne brings the heat, once again. This time it's a collection of'quickies'
Have a stiff drink handy because just when you think you've caught your breath from one, the next story starts. I hope some of The people we see in this book we get more of later!

The title may be Quickies, but there was a lot of work that went into these stories. I am a huge fan of Shayne McClendon, and you can see her heart in each one of these stories and the erotic poems. Yes, a lot of these stories can be found on her website. I’ve read some of them, but I’m usually not patient enough to keep reading when I have to move from link to link, so even some of the free stories I hadn’t read yet just based on my inability to stay focused long enough to get there. But the stories that aren’t on her site, the excerpts for upcoming stories, that’s where the gold was for me, that it worth my time to read and worth my tightly budgeted book money. I was already looking forward to upcoming book Backstage, but the first story shared is Act One: Stage Fright, and I’m more excited then ever for Backstage. And boy, the excerpt for The Playground is just flat out hot. You also get introductions to several other books that are already out, for just a taste of what this author can do.

I swear I don't know how she does it but Shayne is simply a master at getting the brain and heart wanting more and more. This book completely has me wishing to have all of them in full. From simply excerpts from books to poems that make you dream to needing a drink and cold shower, she delves the reader in to worlds unknown. For those unsure of her books i would recommend this book and watch as they scramble to buy all her books lol. Can't wait and am dying to have everything she has coming out. You definately have to simply subscribe to her. Love you Shayne!!!!! ( and yes with some i recommend a box of tissues close by )

These short stories are beautifully written. I couldn't find fault with a single one from the writing aspect. I found some of them great, while others were a big 'meh' for me. Now that I go back to Amazon and read some other reviews it seems these are stories that the author's regular readers recognise the characters in. I didn't realise that and probably wouldn't have read it if I'd known. The cover doesn't really portray the kind of stories that are in this collection, perhaps that's why I was surprised. I'll definitely make an effort to read something else by Shayne McClendon just because of the really good writing in this book.

I love Shayne's micro stories and getting sneak peeks of stories to come. This collection of micro stories is taken from her blog Always The Good Girl. If you have never read her work I highly recommend this book of short stories and snippets. It's a great way to immerse yourself in her world of erotica and more. If you haven't already, you should also check out her blog. As always, I can't get enough of Shayne's books.

Quickies is definitely a good guide if you've just found out about Shayne McClendon.

So in here we have many micro-stories and excerpts from many of Shayne's published works. And I shall just say, the excerpts are enough to make you hooked on her works! :D

For myself, I was reading excerpts from both 'A little bit country' and 'Damaged' in Quickies and I just had to stop and go buy the books! Plus there is also excerpts for her latest book 'Love of The Games' which is the bomb <3 \O/

A great combination an insight as to what this amazing writer has to offer. It's shows the versatility of things she writes about. She's amazing and even in the short stories you get sucked in and wished there was more to read about them. I want every short to become a novel, hahha but that's just me. If you are intrigued go buy this book and see what I'm ranting about. I hope ya'll agree.
