Verity has always been the quiet, polite, well-presented young woman her father brought her up to be. Desperate for his praise and love, she has done anything he has asked of her, even if it wasn't what she really wanted. But years of being the one that's ignored and forgotten about has taken a toll on her mental health, and she has no idea who to turn to for help. All she wants is her fathers love and for him home for Christmas, and for a while, she thinks she will have that, but it is obviously too much to hope for.
The Donavon brothers have watched from the sidelines the last few years after their mother married a widower with an adult daughter. There was no love loss between the stepsiblings when they first met, but over the years, one by one, they have noticed the beautiful young woman their new stepsister has growing into.
As things turn from bad to worse for Verity, can her stepbrothers help her to find her way and show her that the love she is seeking is right in front of her times three? Can they save her from the future her father has been training her for? All in time to give her the Christmas she deserves

I love all the O’Reilly books and this one did not disappoint. It has tons of drama, secrets & lies that just seem to keep coming, so it’s a very emotional book! But wow did the MMC’s utterly love & support their girl!
My heart just broke for Verity, she was an extremely sweet loving girl that had been manipulated by her father for virtually her whole life. The hits just kept coming for her as more and more secrets & lies were revealed. Travis, Ethan & Ryan are her stepbrothers who’ve loved Verity from afar for years but after coming home for a visit they realise how broken & lonely Verity is and their love & unwavering protectiveness comes forward instantly. They really helped, supported and kept her together through all the sh!t that just kept coming. Their love for her was portrayed beautifully and their connection during their “fun time” was moving as well as Hot!! I enjoyed their Daddy, little girl dynamics together.
I loved having previous characters from other books coming back into the story too!
🔸Burn = Fast, 🔸OW/OM Drama = OM a little at first - cheating, (not from MMC) 🔸Alpha Men = Absolutely, 🔸Heat = 10/10, 🔸Angst = Low, 🔸MM/FF = None, 🔸RH/ Poly = RH, 🔸POV = 1st Person, MPV 🔸Genre = Contemporary Romance 🔸Triggers = Toxic parent relationship; parental mental abůse, lies & manipůlation; Self-h@rming; De@th of a parent (off page); Suicid@l thoughts; Extreme low self-esteem; arranged marriage; Daddy dom/sub dynamic; Che@ting (not MMCs) 🔸Book = Standalone (with interconnected characters)
I really enjoyed this one but there are still loads of mistakes, & some of the s*x scenes are terrible.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to read Verity’s book as I wasn’t keen on Travis in previous books, as he’s really nasty to Christian at times, but I did really like him in the end. It never really explains what happened the night with Christian in Travis’s father car, or why he blamed Christian. He never apologised to him either which is really bad considering how he treat him. I wasn’t sure about Verity either at times as she’s quite judgemental about Jasmine (Her best friend) and how she killed her mother. Jasmines mother was evil and she’s judging her for it?
Verity is a sad and lonely character controlled by her father who has never loved her. Sadly she can’t see what he’s really like and is heartbroken when she realises he doesn’t give a damn about her. When her stepbrothers Travis, Ethan and Ryan realise what is behind her fake smiles, and her perfect house they vow to be their for her as they have always had feelings for her. Again this is really confusing as they’ve always had feelings for her yet don’t see how heartbroken she is and how she’s struggling with life? The signs were all there, they chose to ignore them.
As they all finally admit their feelings and vow to be their for Verity, they start to realise how delicate she is, and how bad things are. Some of the things that they miss are really annoying especially as Travis is her fathers accountant. I really don’t understand how he didn’t notice a lot of it. Travis is hot as the daddy and Ryan also decides to be her daddy but Ethan as a dom doesn’t. It seems really weird when he’s so dominating that he doesn’t want to be her daddy as well. As their relationship progresses they realise that Verity is in danger and the O’Connells are there to help which I loved. Christian is lovely to Verity and genuinely cares about her. I’m pointing this out as I hate books where the mmc is sweet and lovely to his woman, but not to anyone else.
I did really enjoy it but……. 🔵 The plot didn’t make sense at times and yet again we have the connection to the evil Taylor, which is a stupid plot! 🔵 The brothers all say they didn’t realise how often that Verity was on her own. HOW DID THEY MISS IT??? They all claim to have cared about her for years, yet NONE OF THEM RANG HER OR CHECKED ON HER OVER CHRISTMAS??? Then they’re really ‘shocked’ that she spent it on her own. 😡😡😡😡 🔵 Travis is apparently a super maths whizz and is amazing with numbers, yet he misses all the signs that Verity’s father is stealing money from Verity. 🔵 The sex scenes. I can’t stand authors who write about a*al sex without care!! No lube, they didn’t prepare Verity, just shoved it in! 😡😡😡😡😡 Then afterwards not cleaning her or getting her in the shower! 🤮🤮 They just leave her in the bed. They don’t shower either. 🤮🤮 🔵 How did her father manage to steal her inheritance? It didn’t make sense.
So yes I really enjoyed it but there’s a lot of mistakes.
Honestly it's a good story. But the ending needed to be a little cleaner, there are so many unanswered questions and the epilog doesn't even exist anymore.
The fourth book is about Jasmine's bestfriend Verity. Her story was so sad at the beginning, but had a happily ever after. Verity is also a ballet dancer who has been ignored and kept lonely by her father. He works in the United States and even when he comes back to England, he avoids going home to see his daughter. Along with a boyfriend that is just using her, Verity's mental health is suffering and she has turned to self harming as a coping mechanism. When her father tells her that he will be home for Christmas, she gets excited, she hasn't seen him and her stepmother in over a year. Her three stepbrothers show up to be there to visit, but her father is home for less than 24 hours before leaving to spend Christmas in Hawaii leaving Verity alone. Her stepbrothers find her in a dissociative state and help her through also realizing they have been in love with her for awhile find out dear old dad is planning on turning over Verity to a drug dealer to pay off his debts. Loved this book, each book in this series gets better and better. On to the next...
this book was fantastic I skipped book 3 this series intertwined with all the characters but didn't read fate it with the seals but I might go back and read it. this book was about Jaz best friend and ballerina Verity and she has 3 stepbrothers as well travis.ethan.ryan but her father was the worst and you just felt sorry for verity but the boys omg hot and protective what she went through with her father's abuse was awful this book was good but there was alot of unanswered events and alot of spelling errors but you get through it also verity got a little annoying with her emotional breakdowns but other than that I guess there might be a next book cause alot was left hanging. over all good book
This is such a great series! I love RH and D E Bartley has a uniquely beautiful style that I find fascinating. Verity is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. Travis, Ryan, and Ethan have watched her from afar thinking that she is off limits. I love their chemistry, the care they show Verity, and how protective they are with her. This is a great addition to the series and it was fantastic seeing Jasmine and her Daddies again. There’s lots of action, betrayals, and drama that keeps Verity in turmoil, but her guys are really good at distracting her! Very spicy, sharing, and kinky vibes! Loved it!
I thought I loved the first three books in this series but this one has blown me away. I have laughed with Verity. Fell in love with Travis, and his brothers especially when Travis finally admits he is in love with Verity. Travis’ fight for her is everything every girl or woman would want their man/men to do. What Verity goes through is awful and terrifying but her bravery and strength comes out. I especially like the part where she tells Linda off, that was awesome! This story had my attention from start to finish, I want more please.
Three Step brothers Save Christmas by D. E. Bartley is the fourth book in O'Reilly Fight Club Series. Henry is someone I could truly despise. I'm glad he's not around although I'm sure there are people similar to him. I'm loving this series so much! Great Job!. As in the previous book the O'Reilly brothers ,Jasmine & Logan & Calvin show up here & there adding adventure. ,
Greed can cause many unexpected events and those that have always want more!
A time from childhood to adult believing someone loves and always has done the best for you and than things all change ! Everything you thought you knew and the person you thought loved you was all lies and so many secrets you never knew! You were groomed to believe everything was done for the best . lies and more lies and hurt beyond believe!
So many twists and secrets in this book. Just when you think no more bad can happen to the FMC she gets more thrown her way, so much heartbreak but her daddy, papa bear and partner in crime are by her side to show her how much she is worth and help her find her inner strength. Mafia, drugs, heavy sexy scenes, heartbreak and much more are to be found in this book.
This is a good series. The characters intertwine through the books making it more personal. The daddies help to bring healing and love to the young girls who have been neglected and mistreated. It is not my normal reading but works in this context. It is a series I will read again probably several times.
This was so good! Still not into the daddy thing but the storyline was really good so much packed into this one book! With each one you see a puzzle piece with what's happening with the whole Taylor thing.
I'm A 78 yr old women who has fallen in love with your Technique of writing such amazing love stories passion also thrilling ! Thank you so much I am thrilled to read more !
I loved this story I felt for Verity when as a child you trust your parents only to be disappointed it is heart breaking. I am glad she had 3 men to protect and give her the love she deserved
If you love a good reverse harem that actually has an interesting story line, this is the book! It’s sweet, yet filled with danger and plot twists. I loved every word.
It has intrigue, lots of wonderful sizzling spice, great story line. Once you start reading can’t put it down. Love how each book includes characters from last book
Loved Verity's story about her journey to becoming who she was always meant to be. This was an at times heartbreaking read, but with so much love and plenty of sexy times!
Liked this one alot more the first book in the series, the men are very protective which is sweet and not too overbearing. The fmc is written well. There is lots of twists in this one. Worth a read for a quick fun book
