When the body of a man and a pair of dead dogs are found in open country in Fljótshlíð, Defence Attorney Stefán Bjarnason has to deal with CIA agents, the Icelandic police, an elite group of police detectives, the Director of Public Prosecutions, government ministers both Icelandic and foreign, flight attendants, kidnappers and sundry ne’er-do-wells. The story is peppered with his private affairs, his weakness for the fair sex, crafty and promiscuous witnesses, an ambassador who loves poetry, a tough judge and militant farmers from the Njál’s Saga region.

Predators is an independent sequel to The defence attorney featuring barrister Stefán Bjarnason, a thrilling novel and drama about a crime that is solved in an unexpected manner in the courtroom, thanks to defence attorney Stefán’s persistence.

“Colourful characters drawn from the writer’s life experience, thrilling action, a sense of humour – all making for a superb reading experience.” Sigurður G Valgeirsson
“An exciting novel, difficult to put down until the end.” Vilhjálmur A Kjartansson / Morgunblaðið (writing about The Defence Attorney)
