Double Back
Growing up on the west side of Chicago to a dope fiend, Rashad Miller aka- Goldie never knew his father. Tired of the neighborhood kids laughing and staring at him, he missed many days of school, and saw drugs as the only way to make money and have things he wanted in life. Goldie was made to believe that this would be the only life he would ever know. Jasmine moved after high school graduation to start a promising writing career in New York City. The thought of Goldie never left her mind. The love they shared as kids was sweet and innocent; now both grown-up, a loving relationship with Goldie is what Jasmine dreams of. Jasmine comes back to Chicago to live, where she and Goldie try to rekindle a lost love. Goldie s inability to stop his menacing ways was tearing him and her apart. Hustling helped him live, and the love he craved from Jasmine helped feed his soul.

I received this book in a Goodread's First Reads Giveaway. Thank you. Interesting story! I really felt sorry for Jasmine because she didn't see people the way they were but how she wanted them to be. Jasmine really tried but you can't turn a hustler into a husband.

OK SO I WENT TO THE BARBER SHOP TO GET MY DAUGHTER HAIR DONE FOR HER BIRTHDAY AND MY FRIEND THAT WAS DOIN HER HAIR ASK ME IF I EVER READ THIS BOOK CALLED DOUBLE BACK AND I TOLD HER NO AND SHE SAID I SHOULD READ IT I WAS LIKE OK IM GLAD I READ IT BECAUSE WHEN I SAY THAT BOOK WAS GOOD AS HELL I READ IT IN ONE DAY GOLDIE WAS A HOE FOR REAL BUT I LOVED HIS SWAGG BUT THE WAY HE TREATED JAS WAS BOGUS KNOWING THAT HE WAS IN LOVE HER BUT DIDNT KNW HOW TO TREAT HER BUT HE WILL GET IT TOGETHER HOPEFULLY LOL I CANT WAIT FOR PART 2 @ JAMIE DOSSIE IM SO GLAD THAT MY FRIEND ASK ME TO READ THAT BOOK IT WAS GREAT NOW U HAVE ME AS A FAN FOR LIFE I LOVE TO READ BOOKS THANKS. Double Back what can I say? Well for starters this book was filled with lots of drama. The story started off good and it ended good. You can tell that the Author took her time with coming up with the plots of this book. The book had some errors in it, but not that much to were you did not want to read it. I liked how she had the main character. If you are looking for a nice but quick read then Double Back is the book for you. I would definitely recommend this book to others as well as read any other books by this Author.

Doubling Back!!! I really enjoyed this read. It was my first time every reading anything by Jamie Dossie, but it will not be my last. This book was absolutely great! It touched on so many topics that is going in everyday life with the men and women out here struggling with loving someone. I can't wait to read part 2, because I really wants to know how Goldie and Jasmine lives is going to turn out.

I think this story had a lot of potential but there just didn't seem to be any real point to any of it. It was the same cliche story of a guy running the streets, sleeping with everything moving but he has a love for one woman that he can't shake.

This is my first read by Jamie, and I can't wait for the next one. This author has a hidden talent that can't be over looked. This book had raw hidden drama. That made the book even more good. The book did hold some errors, but could have been overlooked because it didn't take away from the story line. I looked the drama between Goldie and Jas. It seems like t would never stop. Can't wait for part 2 to drop.

This book was truly a good read. I was able to complete it in no time. The story flowed smoothly & gave great detail concerning the characters. Goldie's sex life was out of control. Jasmine thought she could change Goldie but she was sadly mistaken. Although he contemplated changing, his lustful desires wouldn't allowed him to. Looking forward to read part 2 which I'm sure will be just as gratifying.

This book was an okay read for me. It wasn't nothing that I would hoop and holler about. The story was kind of dead. I mean all dude did was sleep around and he wasn't really sure of his life. It probably would have been better if the book would have had more drama, twists, suspense and it wasn't so damn predictable.

Disaster
I did not like the fact that this woman sat around while she let a man dog and degrade her value. The fact that she was grown and did not know better then to sell herself short was disappointing. I would not recommend this book and will not read part 2 of this nonsense.

This book was like a run on about Jasmine knowing what and who Goldie was doing, but trying to get him to stay with her. It took me three days to read, there was just no way I could get into it.
