Barmanka Cassandra Nicholsová nikdy nežádala o dědictví tajemného diamantu a opravdu nikdy neměla v úmyslu vstoupit mezi dva válčící muže – draky.

USA Today and Amazon best-selling author Anna Lowe loves putting the "hero" back into heroine and letting location ignite a passionate romance. She likes a heroine who is independent, intelligent, and imperfect — a woman who's doing just fine on her own. But give the heroine a good man (not to mention a chance to overcome her own inhibitions) and she'll never turn down the chance for adventure, nor shy away from danger.

On any given weekend, you might find her hiking in the mountains or hunched over her laptop, working on her latest story. Either way, the day will end with a chunk of dark chocolate and a good read.

Love of the Dragon is book five in the Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart series by Anna Lowe.

This series fast became an entertaining and enjoyable one for me to read. I do feel you need to read the series in order; because previous characters come into play, the hunt for the Spirit Stones and what destiny aka fate has in store for these characters.

Silas is one character the moment he was introduced I couldn’t wait to see who destiny threw in his path to help him learning that being the leader and taking all the responsibility on himself doesn’t have to be done alone. He’s a broody, honorable, and stick to traditions; dragon.

Cassandra, is a bartender that didn’t know about shifters or her witch heritage until about a week ago when her crazy aunt through all of this at her. Her world got turned upside down fast, but she handled it well and showed a backbone of steal even when she was scared.

I loved watching these two come together. Silas fights his dragon all the time, even when he knows that Cassandra is his mate. Cassandra didn’t know much, but she learned fast and didn’t let witch/dragon stuff stop her from falling for Silas.

I was pleasantly surprised by some of the twist thrown into the storyline. The ending was suburb. I’d know from the authors group that she planed to add one more story to this series, but I wasn’t sure how she’d tie it into the Spirit Stone storyline. The ending answered that question and it was well done.

As always Ms. Lowe created a wonderful story that kept me hooked from start to finish.

WOW! Silas finally meets someone who can calm him, love him and stand up to him. Cassandra is 1/8th witch but knows no powers and can't get any spells to work. She does know that Dragons & Witches don't mix. She's teetering on trusting Silas. She knows not to trust Drax. She has the last stone that these 2 Dragons are looking for. The most powerful one. An action packed story that put these 2 together to fight off Drax. Mystery questions answered and another story to come also. YAY! I am voluntarily reviewing a book gifted to me by the author under no obligation.

As I said before this lady knows how to write, she catches you from the first page, ties you up and takes you on the ride of your life. Ms. Anna has her characters all their from every book of this series. Definitely a Must Read.
••••••••••••
Silas is a Dragon Shifter, Boone is a Wolf Shifter, Hunter is a Grizzly Bear Shifter, Cruz is a Tiger Shifter, Kai is a Dragon Shifter. All five of them were part of a secret elite military corps. Each one has his own Demons.

         ****((   From Book   ))****
Here’s the plan, Silas had said. I got us the caretaker’s contract at an amazing estate. We’ll form an exclusive private investigator/ bodyguard agency. We’ll pick and choose the cases we take. Earn good money. Live the good life.
••••••••••••
Cassandra Nichols is a Witch, but sometimes your heritage kips you whether it's in your blood or not doesn't mean it's going to be with you and it seems like she doesn't have any witchy magic. She definitely needs it against Drax or will she need it again Silas? Why is she being drawn to Silas?
Silas Llewellyn is a Dragon Shifter who has always been in love with Moira you could almost say he worships the ground she walked on. But she had many things she wanted and he wasn't one of them, so she walked out and she went to rivalry Dragon Drax. Dials, Kai and Tessa went to New York City for an auction they wanted the diamond aka: Spirit Stone. Silas saw Drax than Moira but there was something else something he kept looking in the back of the auction house what was it? Something was pulling him who was it? The the auctions started in the bed started it five hundred thousand dollars it went up to three million dollars but someone else got the diamond.

Silas, as the leader of his friends and former teammates, has watched them find their mates and fall in love, but, he knows he'll never have that. He once believed himself in love, though it started as an arrangement due to his parents, yet when she betrayed him, he closed himself off to even the possibility. When the chance to have the last Spirit Stone in his possession arises, he doesn't hesitate to go for it. However, he finds so much more.

Cassandra, a bartender, recently discovered the truth about her family, and her witchy heritage, and that's literal, not figuratively in regards to personality. LOL When she realizes the danger being her, and inheriting the stone, now surrounds her in, and after being in an intense, and mutual, eye lock with the sexy man at the auction, she agrees to his offer of protection.

As Silas and Cassandra begin spending time together, their connection continually grows, as does Silas's determination to avoid it, especially when his past, in the form of the woman responsible for his guarded heart, returns. But his pull, and that of his dragon, to Cassandra is not to be denied, and he no longer wants to. She is his mate, and he will claim her.

Can Silas find peace with his past? Will he realize what he once thought was love was anything but? Will he and Cassandra defeat their foes and retain possession of the Spirit Stone? Will they get their HEA?

One-click now and follow along as the woman meant to be his, shows Silas there's a life to enjoy, love to embrace, and a future to begin.

From the moment Cassandra sets eyes on the mysterious, dark haired man, she knows deep in her soul that her life is about to change. To what extent, never in her wildest imagination could she have dreamed. After the brutal murder of her Aunt Eloise, and the surprise that Eloise slapped on her just before, all Cassandra knows is that she has a mission to fulfill, and no one to have her back. At the auction house in New York, waiting for what they believe is the windstone to come up on the auction block, Silas has the distinct feeling that destiny is guiding him, and not only to the stone. With his dreaded third cousin, Drax, along with Moira, in the front row, he knows his chances of obtaining the stone are next to none, but he also knows, deep down, that he has to do what he can to prevent Drax from winning the bid. But all Hell breaks loose when suddenly, the bidding is cancelled, and the pull to one beautiful woman behind him, alerts not only him, but Drax and Moira, to just whom the proper owner may be. All he has to do now, is whatever it takes to protect her from Drax, and the diamond. Will he be able to succeed, or will Drax finally get his grubby hands on the stone? And why is his dragon suddenly overly interested in the mysterious woman?
An awesome read, whether or not you have read the rest of the series, but especially if you have. Warning!!! Once you start, there is no way you will be able to put it down!

Format: audiobook
We’ve met Silas in each of the books in this series and if I’m honest id say I’ve never really taken to his character, his whole demeanour does suit the position he holds within the group but out of all of them he was my least favourite so I expected his book to be the one I enjoyed least ...... how wrong I was!
This stern, uptight Alpha dragon showed a whole different side when Cassandra finds herself in need of protection. I’ll admit I just might be a little in love with Silas now.
Again this story was nicely narrated and I really enjoyed the storyline with all the unexpected revelations.
I expected this book to be the one I enjoyed least but instead it turned out to be the one I enjoyed most.

Well, I had a really nice review written out before my computer decided it was a good time to spaz. SO this is going to be short and sweet.

*The writing was flawless and read as such. Nothing "trying too hard" or "amateur" about it.
*This meant the characters were great and rounded and I enjoyed getting to know Cassandra and Silas.
*Although this is book #5 in the series (and me being me) and having not read any of the others, the author did a really good job making sure that I, as a first-time reader, didn't feel out of the loop.
*THE DRAGONS! Loved the mythology surrounding them and everything to do with the windstone. ALSO, THE BATTLE was epic.
*Dragon smut. It was steamy. It was squirm-worthy (in a good way) and it'll make you fan yourself and smile. Anna aced those scenes.

Looking forward to backtracking and checking out the other books.

I was so ready for Silas to find his mate that I read the ARC of this book in record time.

Silas has been the leader of his group of shifters for many years. He has dragons, bears, tigers, and wolves. Everyone had found their mate but him. He spent all of his time trying to ensure their safety and figure out how to defeat Drax. Turns out that Drax is his cousin and when their uncle dies he leaves everything to Drax and Silas. Now Silas really needs to find a way to stop his cousin as he suspects that Drax is the reason that their uncle is dead.

Silas, Kai, and Tessa have gone to New York in hopes of obtaining the last Spirit Stone which has come up for auction. Of course, Drax and Moira are there to bid, and Silas knows he can't afford to outbid them. At the last moment, the sale is stopped when another party proves she is the one that now owns the diamond. Cassandra knows her problems are not going to end with the halting of the sale. She knows of the existence of dragons and that she is a one-eighth witch. A witch was the one that created the Spirit Stones, and she was told by her aunt that she must keep the diamond out of the hands of dragons. Apparently, dragons and witches do not normally play well together and she is wary of them all.

When Silas saves Cassandra from Drax and convinces her to come home with them, she reluctantly agrees since she has mailed the Spirit Stone off to a place far away where she is sure it won't be found. She is very surprised to find her opinion of dragons, and shifters in general, changing as she comes to know the residents of Koa Point. The questions still remain, can they keep the Spirit Stones out of the hands of Drax and Moira, and what is the fate of Koa Point to be if developers get their hands on it? There is also the little matter of the mating pull between Silas and Cassandra...

I read an ARC of this book. My review is voluntary. I can't wait for the next book!!!

Ms Lowe has done it once again and given us another great story in the Aloha Shifters series.
A beautifully written story for a special person we have come to love, Silas, that introduces a wonderfully complex yet simple woman made just for him, Cassie.
This book starts out with a kick and just keeps you hustling to read what happens next.
Cassie has only just learned about shifters and has been told in no uncertain terms to NEVER trust a dragon. She manages to stop Drax from getting the Windstone and puts herself right in Drax crosshairs.
Silas saves her and gives her the option of coming with him to safety or going it alone. He is drawn to Cassie but won’t admit why but his dragon knows and keeps telling him quite forcefully and humorously, that she is his mate. Silas’ dragon was so cute as he kept a running commentary with Silas about Cassie being their mate that had me in stitches.
Cassie is the only one who can get Silas to stop and enjoy the beauty of what life is showing him. She is the balance he so badly needed. He has never really even stopped to admire the view from his own house.
I loved how this story played out, the interaction between these two learning to trust the other and the slow build up to a relationship that will last a lifetime.
Having started this series with 5 handsome shifter males, Ms Lowe has given us everything we need to start winding this series up. But instead she has subtlety opened this series up to more characters and more great reads.
Loved that we finally find out about the ownership of Koa Point and it is now a settled home for everyone.
It was such a twist as to how Silas and Drax finally get together for the final battle and I truly loved the poetic justice of what happened to Drax, unfortunately Moira is still at large.
This is my honest review of this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. OMG, I couldn’t wait for Silas’s story to come out and now that is has, I wanted to jump for joy! His story was sweet, passionate, funny, (especially the idea of a dragon wiggling his eyebrows and smiling). Silas’s dragon, like the man is an honorable protector but sometimes, he also failed to ask for help choosing to keep everything on his shoulders. Drax and Moira were just as devious and evil as always and got what was coming to them! I really hope that Silas is the dragon lord to bring peace to the dragon world and that Cassandra comes into her own! Now, we wait for Book 6!

Aloha Witch

Book 4 about Cruz was my very favorite of this series and I would say that this one is my second favorite, hot dragon!

Silas Llewyn has always been the very serious leader of this menagerie of former special ops band of shifters. He has always taken his leadership very seriously and more so now that Koa Point is at risk of being lost. He has seen all his brother shifters find their mates and sometimes feels like the fifth wheel, the odd man out, but is beyond happy for them. He has never entertained the idea of ever finding his mate and doesn't trust anyone after the bitter taste Moira left him with. Now he finds he can't trust himself when faced with the possibility of having 1/8 of a witch for a mate. The last Jewel is at stake and it's fate is in her hands. Will he give in to the strong attraction and forego ever having the fifth and last jewel.

Cassandra never wanted to learn she was 1/8 witch and most certainly she didn't ask to be the recipient of a diamond sought after by evil dragons as her Aunt kept telling her before her murder. Now she finds herself running and being saved by a gorgeous man and dragon, then flown to the beautiful Island of Hawaii to suffer looking at said man that makes her insides turn over. Only will he let loose his seriousness and let her in?

I felt the absolute torture that Silas imposed on Cassandra, but loved the surrender to her. I loved the way Cassandra without knowing a lick of witchery still put herself out there to help Silas in his battle against his evil cousin Brax.

Silas finally has the endgame in sight, the final Spirit stone is for sale at an auction in New York, of course his nemesis is there to make his own move. What neither of them expected, was a rightful owner entering the scene and making demands. What to do now?
When events put her in his care, Silas will have to make some decisions, and Cassandra will have to re-evaluate her view on Dragons..
Great add to the Aloha shifters, and finally Silas´ own book <3
PNR action, shifters and smutty fluff in an awesome combo.

I am voluntarily reviewing a book gifted to me by the author with no obligation.

That Amazing Higgins Episode

You remember in the later seasons of “Magnum, PI” when the writing got really, really good, and there were more dramatic episodes? And there was that one Higgins Episode? You know the one I mean. The one where the storyline revealed deep, dark, interesting details of Higgins’ life that you never suspected, like all these heroic things he did during WWII fighting for King and Country; the long lost love of his life that he mourns in silence; how incredibly, deeply loyal he is and not just a stuffed shirt rule-follower. Yeah, stuff just like that - an episode that gives you a glimpse beneath that very proper, very stoic face he shows to the world.

I’ve said before that the Aloha Shifters books contain a sweet, hidden little salutes to the 80’s TV show, “Magnum, PI,” and so “Love of the Dragon” is the like the Higgins Episode of the series. There are lighthearted moments, to be sure, but it has a deep, serious feeling to it, because it is the culmination of the other four books. (There are no cliffhangers and the books can be standalones, but there is an overarching storyline that weaves all five books together. I highly recommend reading them in order.)

Silas is a dark, serious, brooding kind of guy. He won’t stand for a lot of nonsense, and he means business. All the time. He can’t afford to lower his guard or misplace his trust, which is why he has such a small, close-knit group at his side. He trusts his men – and now their mates – and that’s as far as he goes, because he’s been burned before. Silas is an Old School Gentleman in many ways: he’s all about the Greater Good. Throughout the Aloha Shifters books, he’s been the battled-hardened leader who always had his men’s back, reminded them to keep their wits about them, to not become Fate’s fool. But one by one, each of Silas’ brothers’ in arms ended up happily mated. Being the gentleman that he is, Silas welcomed the women to Koa Point, truly happy for them, while holding himself apart. Fate should never send him a mate.

(Doesn’t that sound like the perfect entrance to Silas’ story?)

And so, dear reader (viewer?), we come to the end of the series (season?)! The dramatic climax to the story of the Spirit Stones! I’ve been wondering through all the previous books: what the heck kind of woman could put up with Silas long enough to fall in love, anyway?

Maybe Silas needs a sweet, “Girl Next Door” type? No, he’d walk right up to her, take the Spirit Stone, scold her for getting into danger, plonk her somewhere safe, say goodbye, and never look back. He might miss her a little now and then, but hey, “Greater Good,” and all that.

What about the kick-butt, sarcastic, stubborn type? Hmmm… seems a bit more promising, but Silas is used to that kind of woman, and seems rather immune to their singular charms. They would never stop arguing long enough to fall in love, let alone solve the problem of the Spirit Stones, because neither would bend enough to compromise.
It’s a good thing that Fate is sneaky and underhanded! She’s had Cassandra quietly hidden up her sleeve for a long time, waiting in the wings (so to speak – I can’t resist a good pun), for just the right occasion to step up and take center stage.

Everything about her is unexpected. Cassandra didn’t know she’s part Witch. She didn’t know she was going to inherit anything from her slightly crazy – but rich – Aunt Eloise. And she didn’t know anything about the Shifter world. She was totally normal, clueless, and more or less happy with her life as a New York bartender.

It’s a good thing that Cassandra is a “Fake it till you make it” kinda gal, because from the minute she learns about her heritage and Shifters, she’s in over her head. This a case coming in at the last minute as the understudy to the Lead in a headlining Broadway show when you’ve only ever been in the chorus. Sure, you can sing and dance, but you have NO hope remembering your lines or hitting your marks. So baby, you better WORK IT and pray the audience doesn’t notice. “Never let `em see you sweat,” should be Cassandra’s motto.

She’s kind of like Lois Lane, because she’s got spunk and she wants to do what’s right, but doesn’t always GET it right. She knows that sometimes you have to stand up to powerful people, even when you know that you’re outgunned and scared out of your mind.

Cassandra has an unassuming, joyful grace that draws Silas in. She doesn’t crave wealth or power, doesn’t want or need any of the things a powerful man like him could give her. Furthermore, he can’t seem to convince her that HE doesn’t want the powerful Spirit Stone she’s promised Aunt Eloise she’d protect. I won’t say too much more about Cassandra, because it’s more fun to discover her for yourself.

There’s a lot to love about this book, not least of which are all the little touches of warmth that we get to see in Silas. He’s a leader of his family, but also of his community – the charity ball is a fun peek into his life, and tip of the hat to Higgins that made my day. In the last few books, we’ve seen just a little bit of Silas’ veneer start to crack, but here we see him from the inside, including his insecurities, hopes, and fears. The ultimate stoic leader, willing to sacrifice himself for the good of the pack, is the one who might just need saving in the end.

Reviewed at Shifter Haven

It’s closing in on midnight, the witching hour, as I begin this review of Love of the Dragon… which is kinda fitting considering Cassandra’s family connections. In actual fact right now I simply have no words to express the magic that I just read. So I may have to sit and stare at that beautiful cover for a bit while I try to wrap my head around one amazing story – and a series that isn’t quite done with us just yet. To tell you the absolute truth I want to talk about what I just read – the nuances, the suspicions of what might be, the stunning surprises and the complete joy of knowing there is yet more to come. But I can’t. I won’t take that enjoyment away from your experience. So I’ll have to carefully find words to tell you why you should be running to your favorite outlet to pick up not only this book but the entire series… like, right now.

The battle for absolute power is coming to a head, the final spirit stone has been located and the race is on to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. But neither Silas nor their enemies had counted on the stubborn ingenuity of one human woman to set roadblocks in their path, ones that would delay that battle and lead to so much more for Silas and Cassandra. And… I don’t dare go into any more details for it would be so easy to slip and type the wrong comment right about now.

Cassandra is perfect for Silas, a man, a dragon who has shouldered so much on his own, works so hard to take the full brunt of this war for power. She has the ability to calm him, to give him peace that he so badly needs. She might have recently come into her knowledge of the other creatures who exist in her safe world, but this feisty New York bartender is no weak miss by any stretch of the imagination. She can not only fight with him, she can fight beside him. His dragon is in heaven at finding their mate. Even more so when Cassandra shows her true colors as she fights at their side for what is right. She may be new to all of this but she has a few tricks up her sleeve nonetheless.

As always I love the touches that remind me of Magnum, P.I. Actually during the scenes where Silas and Cassandra were driving at night I found myself humming the slower parts of the theme song from Magnum, P.I. in the back of my mind without even realizing what I was doing. So I guess I can do two things at once. *grin*

If you have followed the Aloha Shifters – Jewels of the Heart series from the beginning you will be more than satisfied with Love of the Dragon. These characters have become like old friends, and it was fun to interact with them all again, even if only briefly for some. With twists and turns, new bits of information and vivid word usage, Anna Lowe takes us back to Hawaii to the skies and the lava fields with such descriptions that you can feel the heat. I was so glad to discover that Ella will get her story told here in Lure of the Fox, and that we aren’t quite done with this amazing series just yet.

I completely loved Love of the Dragon – and I believe you will, too. Highly recommend reading for any Shifter Romance reader, and those who also have a fondness for a certain private investigator as well. You’ll feel right at home.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription (but I do plan to buy it to complete my set as I picked up the boxed set recently too).

Ok,
let me start by saying l loved this entire series and am sooo sooo happy Silas received is HEA. Cassandra was truly his match. A bartender from New York she's use to handling men with different attitudes and then some. Dials is a Dragon on a mission. He is one mighty alpha who protects his own. With all his family and friends of Koa Point finding their mates and starting a family they and the world word to protect weight heavy on his shoulder.

Silas Dragon knew the moment it laid eyes on the fiery lady in the back of the standing room only. He couldn't breathe. He was enthralled with the little minx. Cassandra didn't understand what the Tom foolery was going on with this tall, dark, and handsome of a gem in the from of the auction house. All she knew she was that she needed to get her hands on the diamond that was gifted to her by her aunt Eloise. It was sent to the auction house by her stupid cousin her aunt's son by mistake before the will was executed. She was lucky to make it before it was sold to Drax. Which would have been catastrophic. By doing so she attracted the attention of dragons. Her aunt told her a few things, 1. never trust dragons, they are bad. Witches and dragons don't get along. 2. Witches created the gems and witches alone can destroy the gems.

Cassandra was only 1/8 of a witch so she could not conjure up magic or a spell to save her life but she did will the power of the diamond. To keep the diamond safe she mailed it away for safe keeping. Never did she think the two of thwm would wind up on the same continent yet alone the same state but guess what fate has a funny way of happening. When cornered by Drax in an alley Silas comes and save the day and get injured in the process. Hence proving that not all dragons are bad. Then she meets Kai and Tessa who are also dragons who turn out to be the good guys. But she also meet that betych of a Dragon Moira likes power and had a past with her man Silas and broke his heart. oh hell to the naw...me jealous...we all have a past...Anywho, Silas and Cassandra realize they have a connection. Some magnetic pull, sparks fly...They like to take walks on the beach under the moonlight, fireworks explodes over volcanoes, getting her back blown out, smelling the hibiscus and enjoying your man leaving sweet roses reminding you an orgasmic night. Ralk about bubba hubba!

After spending the night with his mate and getting a taste Silas knows he has to do the right thing so he go and face off against Drax and Moira knowin it's not going to be a fair fight. Never once did he count on his mate coming to be by his side but never underestimate a woman on a mission to keep a good thang...so the dynamic duo prove the love of a Dragon along with the the spirit of a diamond gem and the strenght and determination of a mate you will loose each and every time. I cannot wait until the final installment although I will be sad as well. If you have not started start from the first book "Lure of the Dragon". If you have and you then get on onto this book. lurve ! Received an ARC copy

Love of the Dragon Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart Book 5
by Anna Lowe
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
OMG! I absolutely enjoy If you want to read and fall in love with a fabulous series. Then Love of the Dragon Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart Book 5 is just the book you want to read. This book features military romance, strong heroines, alpha heroes, werewolves, were-dragons, were-bears, were-bears, paranormal suspense, action-adventure, dragons battling it out, fantasy romance, and billionaires. The book is about Silas Llewellyn and Cassandra Nichols with a mysterious diamond known as the Wind Stone. Book 5 Jewels of the heart is a very thrilling series set on the tropical island of Maui. If you enjoy a book where the characters from the previous books are included in the present book then you will definitely enjoy this book. Here’s the thing about the ALOHA SHIFTERS: JEWELS of the HEART Series: they are consistent. Yes Anna Lowe tweaks the particulars, but you can always expect a funny and feisty heroine with an gorgeous alpha hero. The characters are fantastic and compelling along with chemistry between Silas and Cassandra. There is never a dull moment even including with the secondary characters. It's so great that we get to continue to fall in love with the pack along with addition of Cassandra Nichols.

Their quest to save the pack with the diamond makes this book have everything you will want..romance, battles, arrogant antagonists, love, sex and victory. This book is a delightful gift that I have enjoy reading and giving my review of this book which I really enjoyed this book. Great story that will keep you involved. Great job again Anna Lowe. incredible from the first word to the last This is the continuation of the Aloha series. That's why I enjoy about Anna Lowe's Aloha Shifters Series, but I have to admit that Anna Lowe does it well. It’s a double-edged sword and I have enjoyed this series and at this point I would buy and read them just because Anna Lowe wrote it. It’s smart and sharp and sexy. It’s a book and series which I enjoy reading. It has humor and I laughed more than once. This book features new characters, which I really enjoyed . You will enjoy how exciting and fantastic the characters are. There are few twists and surprises that Silas is the key. This another great book in this fantastic series. So bottom line: it’s classic Great Book, which brings to light who is the owner and the battle between dragons for the fifth stone. But I will tell you that the book will keep you turning the pages until you turn the last page. You will enjoy this exciting, suspenseful, thrilling, sweet, some times humorous and blazing hot shifter Romance as much as I did! It's a five star series that I highly recommend you read. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series!

The fifth Story of Aloha Shifters-Jewels of the Heart has lots of action, mystery, romance and adventure. I loved Heroine Cassandra the feisty bartender who inherits the Fifth Spirit Stone, but has no idea of its power or how to use it. Action sequences at the start of the story and near the end provide bookends to a reflective time in the story when Cassandra escapes to Hawaii and lives in Silas' home in Hawaii for her protection.

While there Cassandra studies in his extensive library to expand her metaphysical skills and knowledge. While doing so she also comes to better understand Shifters in a way that is different from the fearful manner her Aunt taught her. I also like how Cassandra's prejudices fall away as she gets to know the whole Shifter crew while living with them at Koa Point. She observes the mated pairs daily and comes to see that these Shifters are devoted, tender, loving and gentle, in addition to being fierce and protective, especially of those they love and consider extended family.

We see that Silas' grumpiness is actually stress and are given insight into Silas' motivation through this story arc has been to build a safe place for his extended family. He particularly wants to stop the threat of Drax and Moira, knowing the mated couples in his family group are pregnant or will be having families shortly. His preoccupation has been to try and strategize how to create an extended peace for all Dragons, but particularly safety for his little band. Like in the other stories, interactions with Keiki the Kitten demonstrate Silas' softer, gentle, loving side. I also really liked the women have been striving to loosen Silas up to get him to relax a bit, and while on the way to a Black Tie charity function, he and Cassandra take a detour to a food truck. This scene is charming.

Still loving the tropical beauty of Hawaii as a backdrop, but this story also has scenes in New York City. I love the Bonus Scene Epilogue that takes place in a New York Penthouse overlooking Central Park. Highly recommend readers sign up for Anna's Newsletter to access the Bonus Scene epilogues that have heartfelt 'what happened after' moments.

Looking forward to next book, the final one in this series with Fox Shifter Ella. I am voluntarily reviewing a book gifted to me by the author with no obligation.

Recommend this series!

Silas is in New York to but a diamond at an auction house if it is the Spirit Stone. Kai and Tessa came along also in case Silas needs them. Drax and Moira are there too. When they realize that it is the spirit stone the bidding goes up to three million dollars before Silas has to drop out because he doesn't have anymore money. While he was bidding he noticed a woman in the back of the room getting angrier the higher the bids go. A man in a brown suit who was standing next to the woman started to walk to the front of the room. As the auctioneer was saying "going once, going twice" then man interrupted him. The auctioneer then said that the true owner of the diamond has been revealed so the diamond was no longer for sale.
Cassandra was the woman in the back. Her aunt died and her son put everything up for auction before the will was read stating Cassandra was the owner. Her aunt told her a couple days before she was killed that she had to keep the stone away from the evil dragons. She knows that Drax is a dragon and so is Silas because of their eyes changing to red with emotion.
She escaped into the bathroom but Moira follows and threatens her. She stands up to Moira but Tessa comes in to help.
She gets the diamond and slips out of the auction house without being seen. She mails to diamond to someone who she believes will keep it safe.
Drax catches up to her and turns into a dragon to kill her but Silas intervenes. Then Silas, Kai and Tessa talk her into going with them to get away from Drax.
Silas knows she is his mate but he pushes her away because he thinks that he can do everything on his own because he is the leader. He also doesn't want her to get hurt. He is strong, noble, honorable, and loyal to a fault.
Cassandra must convince him that everyone needs someone and that it is not a weakness.
There is battle action involved in this story plus we find out the power of the stone. It was an incredible story that keeps your attention from beginning to end!

Dragons never give up. 5 WHITE JEWELS

destiny never revealed her plans, and fate loved springing surprises. Witches and dragons are enemies. So where does that leave us? To hell with destiny. We’ll make our own fate. HA! Who knew that one lowly little ol' human would be able to lure in this Dragon! And WOW!! She blew me away too!!! I have to say that this EPIC book is my new favorite! Unbelievable but true!! OMG! I wasn't even 20% in and Silas's Dragon had me almost crying I was laughing so much!! Anna did a phenomenal job with Silas & his Dragon! Dragon has a personality - pardon me, dragonality - that is larger than ... Well larger than a dragon! I love how he was so drunk on Cassandra right from first seeing her and pestering, badgering, goading & trying to do everything he could to get Silas to agree with him! Cassandra herself is everything I wish I was! I loved her even before Dragon did! Okay, maybe just a touch after he did! wink I laughed, cried, laughed some more, held my breath, gasped, cried again and pretty much every other emotion I could go through while reading a fantastic book!! From the start you could tell that Silas’ book was going to be The Book To Read and WOW! Anna gave Silas the story we all wanted, that he deserved all without “rushing” through anything and WOW! I just LOVE all of the Love of the Dragon! And getting caught up with my Shifter friends at Koa Point was the melted butter on top of Tessa's fresh baked papaya/vanilla muffins! All in all I think that Anna did a FANTABULOUS job giving Silas his time to fly high, soar & glow! And that is exactly what they did! Anna is a phenomenal author whose books should be cherished like the gems they are!

DANGER & STEAMY ROMANCE!

Wickedly-delicious is this story that entices you to keep turning pages until the last word. Inside; thrilling suspense and action, humor, picturesque and dynamic vivid scene descriptions, earth-shattering danger, life-threatening incidents, and a delightful happy ever after that is so well deserved.

Cassandra is a brave-hearted beauty and a witch who has in her possession a powerful spirit stone. Two dragon shifters yearn to have it; Drax is power hungry and Silas is the leader of the shifters in Maui who yearns for peace. When Silas and Cassandra meet it is under dangerous circumstances; Cassandra's aunt informed her that she had to protect the spirit stone as dragons were evil-minded and would not use it wisely. Unfortunately, her life is in horrific danger and she ends up under Silas' protection. Silas finds Cassandra irresistible but he holds back his feelings because of the onslaught of danger; he must figure out a way to protect all he holds dear.

MARVELOUS fast-paced five-star well-written read; the characters spring to life with engaging dialogue, and the romance between Silas and Cassandra is incredibly dreamy with sensuous steamy scenes. Cassandra shows much bravery in this story and Silas is definitely an alpha with a kind heart; loved them together. I always adore this author's heroes and heroines as they are quite believable. If you treasure shifter stories this is definitely a great choice for your library. I found this to be a most entertaining read and I enjoyed this story so much {I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy.} Without reservations, I recommend this read.

Silas and Cassandra - swoons and danger

I loved Silas and Cassandra fated mates, human-shifter, opposites attract, enemies to lovers romance. It was wonderful mix of sweet, steamy, real life issues, and danger. Cassandra is part human and a small part witch. She is also the guardian of the Windstone, the strongest of the five spirit stones. Two weeks before the start of the story, she found out about being a witch and was warned about evil dragons. Silas is a dragon shifter who recently retired from special forces. He lives in Hawaii with his four shifter brothers in arms. Eight years ago he was betrayed and had his heart broken by the female dragon shifter he thought was his mate, Moira. Moira is now with his cousin and nemesis, Drax. Silas and Cassandra meet when the Windstone is put up for auction but before it can be sold, it is returned to Cassandra as the rightful owner. When Drax attacks Cassandra, Silas, knowing she is his destined mate, brings her back to Koa Point, the estate he lives on in Hawaii. To get to their HEA, Silas and Cassandra will need to learn to trust each other, unpack their baggage, and take leaps of faith all while tying to thwart the evil plans of Drax and Moira. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline as shown through sweet moments, steamy scenes, fighting, dangerous situations, shifter physiology and cultures, evil actors, henchmen, loyal friends and family, tragic back stories, mystery, revelations, plot twists, big feels, healing, and laughs. I can’t wait to read the final book in this series.

Loved how Anna Lowe wrapped up this series and can't wait for her next one to come out.

You take a dragon shifter, heir to his bloodline, and mix in a commanding officer from special forces and you will come up with Silas. He is strict with trying to uphold the traditions of his people, even though it seems that his opponent does not.

Book starts at an auction in NYC, where both dragons are bidding a handsome fortune on the gem they believe is the Windstone of legend, only to have the true owner of the gem stop the auction at the last second by proving her claim for the gem.

The owner in question is of the witches bloodline though it is very diluted in her case. Cassandra is a feisty bartender in NYC, and she comes upon a fight between the two shifters, one of which is trying to get the diamond from her. Silas winds up saving her life from Drax, and with everything that has happened convinces her to come home to Koa Point with them.

Silas' dragon is insistent that she is his mate, and both of them are fighting their mutual attraction to each other. Cass is learning that maybe not every shifter is as bad as she was made to believe, even though some will still fall into that category. Will these two ever come to see eye to eye, or will her mistrust and his stubbornness fall it all to fall apart? Read the book and I'm sure you will not be disappointed in the least.

I am voluntarily reviewing a book gifted to me by the author with no obligation, and like I said previously I can't wait to see what she comes out with next.

Out of all the shifters Silas was the one that I have been most interested in. So when his story came out I was so excited. Silas in each book we have read has had so much mystery surround him. I would say that is what has made him so interesting but I think it is more then that. Though I have found each and every shifter very sexy, Silas is the one that has radiated more sex appeal to me. Maybe because he is more alpha then the others or maybe it is something totally different. I will say this story made me fall for him even harder.

We know that from the previous books that Moria had really hurt Silas. We got to see how evil Moria really was in this story. For some reason I have a feeling we have not seen the last of that evil dragon.

I truly loved Cassandra. Though she was afraid of what she had to do she found this inward strength to stand up and do what needed to be done. She was like a gem that was hidden and was brought to his real beauty though the fire.

Every time we have seen the appearance of Drax I have grow to hate him more and more and this story was no different.

I love that Silas’ secrets were revealed in this story. I also love the great lengths he went though to protect Cassandra. I also love that he was willing to open his heart again.

In this story we get to see love blossom, sacrifice, willing to protect what you love, and how family is not always blood. You will also get to see some pretty steamy parts as well. The author will not disappoint.

I think this one may be my favorite yet! Silas is the head of this group of wonderful shifters. He's a dragon shifter and makes sure that everything runs smoothly. Drax is his cousin and a nemesis that causes such turmoil in his life. Moira was his love of his life that left him for Drax figuring Drax would be able to give her everything she needs. If you've been reading this series then you know about the Spirit Stones and the fact that there's a powerful diamond still out there to round out this group of stones. Both Silas and Drax are in NY to bid at an auction house on this stone. However, there's a lovely brunette in the back of the auction house that catches Silas' eye. Before Silas can lose the bidding war to Drax, the stone gets pulled from the auction.
Silas believes the woman is behind it and so he goes to meet the beautiful Cassandra. She's a bartender that takes no b*s from anyone. She's 1/8 witch and doesn't trust dragons although she feels that she may be able to trust this one and definitely fears Drax.
I don't want to give everything away but I loved watching Cassandra learn and grow while at Koa Point. The writing during the battle scene kept me on the edge of my seat. I felt like I was there and flipping the pages as fast as I could. This was fantastic! If I thought it couldn't get any better after that, I was wrong. What an ending! So glad to see there's more to come for this group!

Anna has done it again, even more so because Silas has been so lonely all this time since his finance' left him for his cousin. But he is at an auction in New York because there is a diamond up which he and his cousin believes is the Wind stone, but just as it is going to go to his cousin a lawyer has it pulled from the auction and the woman that was holding her breath is the woman that owns the stone and his dragon tells him she is his mate and he can hardly keep from looking at her she is beautiful but the Wind stone is more important at the time. Cassandra Nichols is part witch and her aunt Eloise told her that she had to use the diamond to kill all the dragons because they are all evil and she is glad that they didn't get it. She did something smart with it so no one could take from her and then she tried to make it home but Silas tried to get her to come with him, Kai and Tessa but she refused until she was attacked by Drax his cousin in dragon form and Silas protected her in his dragon form, this completely blows her mind because she didn't believe her aunt was telling her the truth. The adventure begins and it is fantastic and the characters bring out the whole story so that you actually see in your minds eye how it is happening, at least I did. Love this fifth book even though it is not the last. Juicy. I was given a copy as a gift from the author. I am providing an honest review.

This series continues to be one of my favorites! Love seeing Silas find love, and I always love the adventures surrounding the magical crystals! I suppose this could be read as a standalone, but there are previous characters in this book, and there is a story throughout the whole series, so I think it's better to read from the beginning. I also listened to the audio book version of this book, and I really enjoy the narrator's performance, and would recommend listening to this series! In Love of the Dragon, dragon shifter, Silas, is sort of the head of a group of shifters. There's dragon shifters, a bear shifter, wolf shifter, and a tiger shifter! Read the previous books for their stories! Silas takes on a lot of responsibility, and with evil dragon shifter, Drax, trying to rule the world, he's got a lot of pressure on his shoulders. Cassandra is aware of shifters, but she's been warned against them. She's also in possession of one of the wind stone, which has magical properties over the wind. When Silas and Cassandra meet, there's an attraction between the two that won't be denied. Cassandra needs to decide if she can trust Silas and his group because being in possession of the wind stone has put her in a very dangerous position. Lots of fun action, and sexy, hot romance to be had in Love of the Dragon! Love the Hawaiian setting, and the opening scene at the auction was great! Looking forward to the next book!

The wind stone

This is another great addition to the Aloha Shifters series featuring Silas Llewellyn, the former special ops team leader and alpha of the group of retired soldiers living on an estate in Hawaii. Silas, a Dragon shifter, is a strong, stoic, workaholic, silent type, who has the weight of the world on his shoulders. His team of friends has grown as each have found their mates, leaving Silas as the relationship odd man out. Then a large diamond comes up for auction in NYC. On the chance it's the fifth spirit stone, the Wind Stone, Silas, Kai and Tessa attend, finding their old foes Drak and Moira already there. As bidding escalates, however, the diamond is pulled at the last minute and a new player emerges.
Cassandra Nichols recently learned she is part witch when she was tasked by her now dead aunt with protecting a diamond, especially from dragons. Now the NYC bartender finds herself caught in a war between two dragon shifters, not knowing who to trust. Both exude power, but where one screams evil, the other blankets her with protection. Before she knows it, she's on a jet full of dragons headed for Hawaii, with her aunt's warnings about dragons echoing in her head. And a green eyed Dragon shifter filling her thoughts. This action packed romance is another great KU library read. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Oh My Goodness....FINALLY someone actually "sees" Silas! He's the strong , silent, steady sort of alpha that steps up to help each of his misfit crew find their own destiny. Moria has destroyed his faith in true love and shattered his hope of ever finding peace by aligning herself with his greatest enemy. Drax is dead set on crushing Silas in every possible way. But this world of intrigue did not see Cassandra coming and she enters it with a flare! Finding out she is part witch from her dying aunt is a real shocker but discovering the paranormal world all at once is beyond belief. Her dying aunt has set her a quest that she intends to complete at all costs. You see dragons and witches are like the Hatfield's and McCoy's , mortal enemies it seems. After her extremely intense introduction to these three dragons her quest gets a bit more complicated. Cassandra is whisked off to Hawaii for safety and there she struggles to learn her own heritage and strengths. This is book 5 of the best darn series I have read in ages folks. Each book is a stand alone but the rich depth of character is found by reading about all of the crew. I can just about guarantee you won't be able to put this one down.

A fast-paced, action packed novel with steamy passion that leaves you breathless and lingers in the mind long after the last page.

Silas, the last brother-in-arms, is the alpha of the group of shifters on a beautiful estate in Hawaii.
He is a dragon shifter with the responsibility of keeping his friends and their mates safe. He is lonely at times and wishes for peace, but fears that it's not possible with his archenemy, Drax, who desires the Spirit Stones for his own personal gain.

Cassandra is part witch and doesn't like shifters, especially dragons. Drax learns Cassandra has one of the Spirit Stones and corners her. Silas rescues her and to keep her safe, he takes her to his estate and there she gets to know the real Silas.

Soon, she realises that not all dragons are bad, greedy and murderous. She teaches Silas that there is more to life than work and worrying and they learn they are stronger together.

Ms. Lowe kept the best for last! I was captivated from the first book and was not disappointed until the last page of the brother-in-arm's journey!

A splendid series recommended to all Paranormal lovers!
