Anthology of short stories about the ones that got away from this guy. Some were rather humorous, but I found the book depressing, because it hit too close to home.
This was a collection of often funny short stories. However more than once I felt the other was making something out of nothing just to be capable of adding it to the book. Also most of the stories about "the ones that got a way" were more like, "the ones I wasn't super interested in but looking back on it wish I would of stuck it in them." Or "the ones that maybe kind of might have given me a shot, but probably not but I still wish I would have tried to stick it in them because they smiled at me that one time." I thought this book was going to be humorous or make me feel embarrassed for the author but really it's a collection of woman he met that he thinks he might have had an opportunity to sleep with if he said the right thing or the circumstances were different. It felt like he was saying that anyone he met was dying for sex with him. I guess I just expected this to be a different book than it was.
This book is a light, easy, overall enjoyable, interesting collection of stories which are racy without being too revealing, or risqué. The 34 entries ascend from least regrettable chance to biggest missed 'opportunity with women' of the author's life thus far. A quick read through this book may increase the readers awareness that, like life, some opportunities occur once - no rewind button. Don't miss out.
I was lucky enough to win this book and glad I did....it was worth the read,Thank You Mr Stegmann and Thank You for the Autograph copy. Ok this is a really funny book, well written. As I was reading thru the book the Shoulda's that is what stood out for me.....that would be my luck. Mr. Stegmann did an excellant job putting this together!
