War Is Hell

Rate this book
"We used to wonder where war lived, what it was that made it so vile. And now we realize that we know where it lives...inside ourselves." - Albert Camus

Cruentus Libri Press is pleased to present an anthology of nightmares, direct from the frontline. From the Empire of Rome to the jungles of Vietnam, every theatre of war is represented in ghoulish detail in nineteen hellish tales of blood and carnage. As the bombs fall and the bullets fly, nobody is safe from the cruel instruments of war itself, nor the ceaseless march of the damned.

War Is Hell features stories from some of the world's finest horror writers, including David Thomas, Brandon Cracraft, Andrew G. Dombalagian, Joshua Rupp, Kerry G.S. Lipp, Scott L Vannatter, Patrick C. Van Slyke, Jay Wilburn, James Olivieri, Kevin G. Bufton, James Fadeley, Jonathan Ward, David Williamson, Naching T. Kassa, G. Lloyd Helm, Paco, Steven Gepp, Cameron Suey and K. Trap Jones.

First off, I would like to say that one of my stories is included in this book. But, I would like to say that I can look at this work objectively.
This is a fascinating anthology replete with stories of conflict. Though there are a preponderance of WWI stories, I none-the-less found it quite interesting. Perhaps the best story in the lot is "Requiem for the Unknown Soldier." I sincerely enjoyed the time travel aspect of that one.
