Read the Handler first, then found the prequel. I always enjoy backstory, so this as a necessary read. Glad I read it. Well done, want to know more about the characters --- but, I'm glad I read The Handler first. Usually I recommend reading the prequel, but not in this case. Of course, all readers read in whatever order they prefer so just get the series and READ, READ, READ!
Although I have read the rest of the series, I had not read this one. This incident is referenced, more than once, during the series and gives good enough details that I didn't feel lost, I am glad I went back and read it. There are nuances that I liked finding out about. A good read, I couldn't put down and enjoyed very much.
I couldn't find a link to this book that worked, so I went to one I saw (but couldn't click on) and thought I'd save y'all the effort of typing all this in: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/1yn7dyxv39?...
I know most the stuff in this since I’ve read the first few books, but it was still interesting to get the details.
This was a great start to a series. I am sure the next book will be as good or better than this one. I got my copy from https://dl.bookfunnel.com/1yn7dyxv39?... when I looked it up on Goodreads.
