a. Ultra macho men who are ginormous.
b. Every SINGLE man is a manwhore. They sleep with every thing in sight. Even when they are under a time crunch to save the test subjects, they hit a cafe where they pick up women's phone numbers.
a. Every time there's any "sexy" time, I wanted to puke... here are a few quotes:
"He could already smell her cream" (gross)
"In the supernatural world, it wasn't uncommon for females to save themselves for their mtes. He liked that his mate had done that" (ya... while he was sleeping with women left and right)
"Duke thrust a finger into her, tearing through her virginal barrier" (uh... and this is their first time when they're not in a private place)
"he came in jetting waves"
b. a strange woman grabs the hero's erect penis... in a cafe... with lots of other people around. He's erect cause he smells his mate, but why the author normalizes sexual assault in this book is beyond me.
a. she acts like a ditz. When she knows she's in danger, she puts on sound cancelling headphones (that she doctored to make them truly ALL sound cancelling) and dances around her apartment, packing her "go" bag. When the hero comes up behind her, she doesn't react. And doesn't really make sense throughout the whole first fight. And everyone's like "aww, how cute. She's a little crazy"
b. when they storm the facility, the hero tells her to stay behind. They're in the middle of a gun fight, so it makes sense that she waits until the rest of them clear the area. But no, she's "made a promise" so she runs and opens the door. A bad dude grabs her and bangs her against the floor and wall so hard, he almost kills her.
