So Chisto told me about his amazing son’s imagination, he tells his dad his stories & Chisto brings them to life. My daughter is so similar so I had to read it & WOW I cannot believe this stemmed from a 4 year olds mind!
Goldie & Lionel are so proud of their little boy Timmy, Lionel has always wanted to be a dad & his “Tigger” is his whole world!
That world soon shatters when Timmy is taken from his crib & there’s no answers as to how it happened, with no sign of a break in & no one lingering outside it’s like he’s just vanished into thin air and all hope is lost of finding there baby boy 😔
But help comes in the form of a gnarly old lady, she tells them that they have exactly 24hours until Timmy is gone forever, they must reverse the curse of the death digger!!
They’ll do anything to get their son back !!
Oh this was great!! It was so descriptive, had an eerie feeling through it & was action packed! I still can’t believe this came from a 4 year olds vision! He is going to be extremely talented like his dad for sure!
I love that it has an open ending! I need to know what happened next Boe!! Thank you so much to Chisto for sharing this with me, the talent clearly runs in the family! Excited to see what’s next from Boe 🤎
This is currently available to read on KU & I do encourage you guys to give it a read! It really is something else from a child this age & he deserves to be seen! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Firstly, this story is from the brilliant mind of a 4 year old, told to his slightly older father, who then turned it into a book suitable for adults to read! Boe’s imagination is awesomely terrifying, extremely creative and clever, and if this is his standard for storytelling at such a young age, I'm convinced this little guy is gonna be a big thing in the horror writing world in the future! Coming from such a young, innocent and creative imagination, I think, makes this all the more creepy. The way things are described, with childlike wonder and fear, I remember those feelings well, and they were brought back vividly in this story. The fear and trepidation are real, this is genuinely creepy and horrifying, heartbreaking too!
Goldie and Lionel had always wanted to be parents, so when their son Tigger arrived, they doted on the little guy, would do anything for him, watched him sleeping with the utmost pride and joy. But their lives are quickly turned upside down and Lionel immediately determines to seek his revenge. Then a strange old woman appears, and tells the distraught couple they have just 24 hours to succeed in their mission to defeat the Death Digger and get Tigger back.
This sounds pretty simple right? It's anything but, their endeavor to find their child is fraught with terrors and horrors that will leave your jaw on the floor and you shuddering in horror. Sights, sounds and challenges beyond your worst imaginings.
And whatever you do….DO NOT GO IN THE BARN!!!!
I've been so excited to read this, I think it's an incredible thing that Chisto has done with and for his son, and it was beyond what I was expecting! Mind blown and nightmares triggered, this was an absolutely fantastic read!! Completely immersive and totally addictive! The barn scene was horrendous and left horrible, haunting images for me to deal with in my dreams….proper nightmare fuel for sure!!
Think of a bedtime story but absolutely dark, you get The Death Digger by Boe Healy. This tale starts off with a missing child, a classic beginning. However, as the story goes the mother and father soon find out this is no normal kidnapping. Oh boy, this was a thrilling novel from beginning to end. For a four year old to come up with the ending this book has, one would think he wasn't four. Yet, he is four.
It's amazing. I recommend you read this story because it's actually really damn good and there's room for a sequel!
The fact that such a graphic, disturbing story came from the mind of a child shouldn't be alarming, in fact it should be reason for praise. We live in a time in which parents shelter their kids from literature that they find disturbing to a point in which I'm concerned about the creative future of humanity. Instead of that, Chisto Healy encourages his son Boe to let his imagination and creativity run wild, which is what every parent in the world should do. Perhaps if I had had this level of encouragement on my creepy little stories, since I was young, I would have started writing when I was much younger. All of this to say that 1) You should definitely read the story, because it's a bloody, disturbing modern fairy tale of sorts in the vein of the brothers Grimm; 2) The little tells that you will find that hint at this having come from the mind of a child, only make the story more disturbing; and 3) Chisto Healy, madman that he is, is the best dad in the universe. Read this now. See the beginnings of a creative mind at work.
The Death Digger by Boe Healy, Goldie and Lyle, have planned and waited and they finally have the little boy Tigger who they couldn’t love more. When they notice baby Tigger has been taken Goldie is distraught and Lyle vows to get him back before they leave the house a strange which looking woman comes and tells them if they’re ever going to see baby Tigger again they must follow her instructions in the next 24 hours. Where her instructions lead them is to one of the craziest and also very scary place they do find babies there but not the cuddely cute babies were used to nor do they see Tigger. Will these parents ever find their sweet baby? Was the witch lying to them? I requested this book because in the description it said this is a story by a four-year-old who’s dad wrote it down and I am saying that because I want to state I did not give this book 5 stars because he’s four or because he has a great dad I gave it five stars because this book is truly creepy with a wow imagination threaded through it. I will definitely read another story by the Healy guys just know you can read this for novelty sake but make sure you like horror and creepy tales because OMG this was so good.
From the very creative imagination of a four year old child comes this creepy short tale of a baby being taken from his parents. The parents are on their way to tracking down the culprit known as “the death digger.” According to an old witch that made it a point to contact the parents, the parents have less than 24 hours to get their baby back before he’s gone forever.
The fact that a four year old came up with this story is mind boggling but children do have the best imaginations after-all!Can’t wait to see what you come up with next Boe and what a great supporting father you have to help make your stories come alive!
Wow… I was blown away by the sheer imaginative elements in this one. And get this…. Boe came up with this when he was FOUR!! I felt myself rooting for the characters as they try to save their son, felt chills when the Death Digger came into focus, and felt terror when the couple trudged through the paranormal as Boe wields a heavy and chilling tale that preys on a primal and old school fear of Death unknown. The horror community better prepare, because if Boe is pushing out stories like this in his younger years, I absolutely cannot wait to see what the future holds.
This story wasn't lacking anything, it had plenty of gory and dark aspects to please the most hardcore Horror fans. An unique monster that seemed original from every angle, I would have thought it was a strong story if written by an adult... but it wasn't, this horrifying tale was written by a child who is FOUR. His father helped him flesh it out, but when you consider the skeleton of this one and the source, I believe you'll find yourself as thoroughly impressed as I was/am. If this is what Boe can bring to the table so young, the rest of us better step it way up!
What an imaginative and fast-paced horror story! It grabs you right from the beginning and barrels toward and through multiple horrors. The atmosphere is dark and foreboding, and you sympathize with the two main characters as they struggle and fight to get their baby back within 24 hours. I was always excited to find out what happened next in the story and was never disappointed! I fully recommend this book to absolutely anyone! And the fact that the story was from the mind of a 4 year old just makes it more special. I can’t wait to see what’s next from Boe Healey!
Before I started reading this I was thinking it would be a good recommendation for young readers, but that is not the case at all. Even though the story was created by a 4 year old (yes you read that right!!) it is brutal and disturbing. The scenes in the graveyard will stick with me for a long time. I'm excited to see what young Healy has in store for us in the future. His imagination is going to provide the world with nightmares and I can't wait!
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading The Death Digger. Throughout the book, I had moments of wonder at how such a young author could come up with this frightful tale. Boe’s imagination is monstrous and bold. This is definitely a horror story for adult readers. It’s dark, scary, and raises topics readers won’t imagine or expect. This is a wild ride, and I’m ready for more.
Truely Riveting! It's a disturbing Disney story soaked in the blood! This twisted tale gives us something fresh and new. The Healy's have created something out of this world and like nothing you've read before! A breath of fresh air in the genre!
This book was such a fun and terrifying time that took me back to when I was a kid, reading scary bedtime stories to myself. I enjoyed everything about it and the fact that it came from the mind of a four year old made it even better. If it was possible to give it even more stars, I would.
A family hears a noise in the night. The parents discover their baby is missing. After a visit from a strange old lady, they set out to find him. They face a terrifying monster. Frightening story from amazingly talented authors.
Holy smokes! This is a quick read that sucks you in and doesn't let go. I am in awe that this is from the mind of a four year old. In a good way! A creepy bedtime story or a scary campfire story, this will be the one you want to tell.
This one kept my rapt attention from the get-go! Bringing every parent's worst nightmare to reality. A baby stolen from its crib quickly turns to a supernatural adventure.
Wow this is one messed up book, but good. This book was a story that a 4 year old boy, Boe Healy, told his dad. His dad then turned the story into a book. Itvis about a creature that steals the souls of children.
Wow, the fact that a 4yr old dreamt up this book is both amazing and terrifying. This is about a monster that devours children's souls. It is a fantastic horror novella and I'm glad I got to meet Boe and his dad Chisto.
Holy wow, this kid has some serious promise. He did a fantastic job with the story it was super creepy.... those eyes dude! The adult writing by his dad was awesome as well. This book is great and has shown me that some kids can be cool.
