When I first read the prologue to Tattooed Dots my jaw literally dropped open and I said out loud to myself "HOLY SHIT THAT WAS PERFECT." Yes, I talk to myself. Don't judge. It's not nice. What I mean by perfect is it left me wanting more. So much more. And I ended up getting so much more than I expected. I was shocked, disgusted, intrigued and may have even had some watery eyes all in very short amount of time. I had no clue where the story would lead. And the name of the book? Not at all what I expected.
Tattooed Dots begins with Easton whom is in the middle of a bitter divorce and what happens will leave you speechless and break your heart at the same time. Fast forward a few years and Easton is busy running his bar and caring for his daughter. Brooke is stuck in a relationship with a complete loser and wondering if this is all life has to offer her. When they are both presented with the opportunity to go on a cruise by their best friends they never expected to meet someone that they would have such a profound connection with. Each other.
Easton is EVERYTHING I love in a male character in my romance reads. He is sexy as hell, has a rocking body, and that swagger thing going on. He is the bad boy that gets what he wants when he wants it. He is one of those characters you love to hate. His transformation throughout the book was perfectly paced. He easily goes from a character you love to hate to a character you will absolutely adore.
Brooke is such a sweetheart! Despite having to grow up way to quickly she never complains. She is the lady that tries to take care of everyone else by putting others needs before her own. She is beautiful inside and out, funny, caring and someone you would be honored to call friend.
I experienced so many different emotions whilst reading this amazing first book in the Halo Series! Prepare yourself to be shocked, to swoon, to laugh, and probably even shed a few tears. 5 Stars for Tattooed Dots <3
-Tattooed Dots is the first book in the Halo Series.
Strong Independent woman, who had a shit upbringing and has a loser boyfriend. Man Whore asshole by night, single father doing the best he can for his girl by day. He's participating in life but not really living.
He turns swoonworthy. She learns to let others help her. They get together... Happy for now....
Longer but not too much longer version...
Easton's best friend Avery is looking for the one. Not the one for a night like Easton. He convinces E to leave his daughter Cheyanne with her grandparents and go on a singles cruise with him for a week.
Nicole is sick of dead beats and wants to meet a man. She buys Brooke a ticket for a weeklong cruise for her birthday... only she doesn't tell her till last minute it's a singles cruise. After, all Brooke has a boyfriend. Brooke agrees to be her wingwoman.
First day there they all meet. Avery and Nicole have insta-love. Brooke and Easton have insta-wood!
Brooke tells him flat out she has a BF and Easton just wants to know her better.
Nicole and Avery do it like rabbits leaving B & E together for the cruise. (Don't worry NO cheating happens... well one kiss...
When Brooke goes back to Boston though something happens that changes her life. Not only does she get of rid of Jared but something else..
Easton is in love.. he wants Brooke in New York with him... and his daughter...
How are they going to make it work with Brooke's "something", Easton's bar, Cheyanne and the 5 hrs difference between them? Well I'll let you read and find out...
The reason I stated there was a Happy For Now.. is exactly that. E & B story has been told... so far anyway.. no cliffhanger or anything, don't worry. Kimberly Knight mentions at the end of the book and that Book 2 will be about Avery and Nicole and book 3 back to B & E....
Ok so Thoughts...
This was my first KK book. I liked it a lot. I will say I had no freaking idea why the book was called Tattooed Dots til like 87% or something though! But what a great name it is. The covers hot, so that's what attracted me initially. I would either A put a bag over the cover models head or B have chopped it off.. Sorry he's not my type. Body yes, Face no The writing style is told is alternative POV between B & E and even if their name wasn't at the top of each chapter it was easy to tell who was who. The story flowed nicely. Great funny moments, Brooke & Easton's sarcasm was great! Declarations of love had me a bit misty eyed. Sex scenes were top shelf, even though they didn't happen till the back end of the book!
Really surprised how much I loved this one!!! It's not a cliffy but there will be another book. I really wish it was finished in one book. Hopefully there is not stupid drama in their book 2.
This book is amazing! I enjoyed watching the relationship between Easton and Brooke evolve and getting to know each of the characters who I am now looking forward to reading about in later books that will be part of the Halo series. Easton is a single dad who isn't ready to settle down until he meets Brooke on a singles cruise that his best friend, Avery, talks him into going on. Brooke has a boyfriend when she meets Easton, but there is no questioning the chemistry that is between them. I respected Brooke for not cheating on her boyfriend and waiting until she had broken up with him before getting involved with Easton.
Kimberly takes us through the experience of a young woman discovering that she has a tumor and how she deals with it. I love that Easton was so loving and supportive and stood by her through everything. And of course the sex scenes are HOT HOT HOT! :)
I'm greatly looking forward to reading about Avery and Nicole in the next book in this series! :)
This book comes from the same woman who gave us the B&S series, which I loved… But this book is something entirely different; it will shatter your emotions all over the place, not exaggerating here! You’ll be surprised by what the title is actually referring to; it will NOT be what you think – It’ll break your heart… Still crying ever since I found out what it was about. Lots of other surprises coming your way by the way…
In this first book of the series we get to meet the two main characters – Easton and Brooke and their two best friends and respective families. Brook is one of the strongest female leads I have ever read about, you’ll see what I mean by that. She starts of working as paralegal assistant and is in a dead end relationship with a dumbass of a boyfriend. Easton, well you’ll have to read about him yourself – not going to ruin the surprise here.. ;-) But he is freaking awesome, hot and oh so sweet, just loved how he handled the entire situation with Brook, what once again will break your heart and have you sobbing like a two year old! That being said, they get to meet one another when they go on a singles cruise, which each of them had been dragged to by their respective best friends. There their journey together commences. It’ll make you laugh, swoon and cry all at the same time.. Not to mention that their best friends fall in love with each other too, gotta love faith there! :-D Their time together is not going to be a walk through the park but you’ll be amazed by the strength that Brook is showing and the support that Easton gives to Brook.
That ending was just woowwww!!! I was crying like a baby, still am… Can’t wait for the other books!!
Theme song for the book: Kryptonite – 3 doors down
We first of all meet Easton during his divorce proceedings, and see how his world as he knows it changes. Then jumping ahead five years the story continues with him working in the bar he owns with his best friend “Halo.” Here he does nightly hookups, which ends up with him having his “cock sucked.” He isn’t looking for anything meaningful–his daughter comes first.
Brooke is in a long standing relationship with a right dick, who needs kicking into touch. He’s a lazy ass who thinks of himself only. With thanks to Brooke’s friend Nicole they both end up on a singles cruise, which is where I started to love Easton.
Their relationship isn’t plain sailing and although Brooke and Easton create a unique bond during the cruise, Brooke stays true to Jared.
Once arriving back home Brooke kicks Jared to the curb and things heat up a lot between Brooke and Easton. Easton proves to Brooke that he’s there for her through thick and thin and not just for a quick fuck.
Brooke has issues with her health and you’ll fall for Easton even more with the dedication to Brooke that he shows, and the obvious love.
What I loved about this book is the connection between the character, the humour especially when Easton’s daughter is talking about kissing a boy (so funny). I was relieved to discover that although a strong health subject is discussed, there wasn’t real angst, although I did feel close to tears once or twice. This was just a damned good story, with a HEA, which makes you desperate for the next book about Brooke and Easten’s friends, Avery and Nicole.
4.5 stars. This book started very slowly for me. I thought I had picked another dud. Then about a 1/4 of the way through it was like the heavens opened and this wonderful, amazing romance book unfolded.
The story really starts when two guy friends and two girl friends decide to take a "spring break" singles cruise. They are older than most of the real college students on board and are really there just for the fun of it, not really looking for anything permanent after the cruise is over. One of the girls even has a live in boyfriend at home even though the relationship is close to crumbling.
Once the friends meet on board, its lights out for any other relationships. Yes, kind of insta-love, but just so charming and delightful. The girl with the boyfriend tries to tokenly set up the guy with other singles on the cruise but it soon becomes apparent to everyone that they both only have eyes for each other.
What follows is heartwarming, sad, a little angsty, wonderfully romantic and just joyously sweet. I loved this book!
Loved this book from the first page! Finally, a book about two adults who weren't looking for love, but found it anyway, and the real-life issues they have to deal with and overcome. There is some drama in this book, but thank the stars it's not the usual "I walked in at the wrong time and now I mistakenly believe the man I love is trying to screw me over" crap. So refreshing to read about a fictional couple dealing with real life issues. And, this isn't a cliffhanger! I mean yeah, it's a series, but this one has a definitive end. I can't wait for the next book in this series :)
3.5 Stars! Tattooed Dots is my first read by Kimberly Knight, and I really enjoyed it. The romance was sweet and the story emotional and inspirational.
Summary: Easton Crawford is in the fight of his life for the custody of his precious daughter, Cheyenne. He refuses to let his high school sweetheart and almost ex-wife, Dana, take his rights away. Easton can't lie and say he isn't to blame for his current situation, because he is. He's the one who didn't respect his marriage vows or put his wife and child before his own selfish needs, but he refuses to be booted out of his young daughter's life without a fight. But when tragedy strikes, Easton's world is swiftly changed, and proving he's worthy of the gift Dana gave him is all that matters. Now, five years later Easton is learning to be the father Cheyenne needs him to be, but as she grows older, it gets harder. Easton isn't interested in marriage or a new mom for Cheyenne. He's content to sample the ladies from his bar because it allows for fast, no-strings hook-ups. Luckily for Easton, sometimes you find the very person you didn't know you needed when you least expect it, and his moment is on a singles cruise with his best friend, Avery. Brooke Bradley grew up before her time. Forced to become the primary caregiver for her younger sister, at the age of thirteen, while her mother jetted off to exotic locales, Brooke has always been somewhat of a mother hen. Now instead of taking care of her now adult sister, she must take care of her thirty-four year old boyfriend, Jared. When she gets the gift of a cruise from her best friend, Nicole, Brooke jumps at the chance for a much needed break. What Brooke doesn't know is it's a singles cruise. When she finds out, she goes along for the sake of her best friend, but doesn't expect to meet anyone for herself. Upon meeting, Easton and Brooke form a bond without sexual strings, making it stronger, and become close friends with an undercurrent of sizzling chemistry. Easton finds his perfect match in Brooke, and Brooke finds the support she's always wanted. But off the boat, their connection isn't as easy to maintain. They live close to five hours apart, Easton has Cheyenne, Brooke has Jared, and some unknown, potentially life-threatening obstacles threaten the love they could share. With an uncertain future, Easton and Brooke will learn that people enter and exit your life for many reasons, not always happy ones, but the people to challenge where you're headed are worth grabbing hold, right.
First, let me say, thank you to Ms. Knight for sharing a bit of her own personal story. You are very strong, a survivor, and an inspiration to others. As a nurse, I find the best way to make my patients feel better, and myself better is feedback from others. Some of the thoughts and feelings you spoke of are incredibly helpful, and for me, will be put to good use for future patients. So, thank you! I really adored Brooke. She was so incredibly giving, hardworking, and loyal. I hated the childhood she led, and felt no remorse at her actions toward her mother. Her hardships, where it would have broken others, seemed to make her fight harder, become stronger. It was beautiful to see. Easton really tore my heart out in the beginning. He wasn't a man I'd want to know. Luckily, he endeavored to win me over, and worked hard at it. He turned out to be loving, thoughtful, supportive, and trustworthy. Easton and Brooke were fantastic together. I wish we had a bigger scene with Jared. Maybe a bit of begging on his part, some humiliation. Lol. I also would have liked to have had a few more scenes with just Cheyenne and Brooke. I didn't quite get the connection I was hoping for, but hope to see that in the continuation of their story. While I truly enjoyed the book, I found some minor editing errors. Nothing too crazy, but still present. Also, some of the chapter ends were a bit abrupt for me. It was easily read over, but startling none the less. I'm really looking forward to Avery and Nicole's book. There seems to be so much more under the surface for them, so I'm looking forward to getting to know them better. <3
Book one in this new series from an author I haven’t heard of before but I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Easton Crawford could initially be described as an absolute arse. In the first few pages meant that he didn’t exactly endear himself to the me he was in the throws of a divorce trial – fighting to retain the one thing that he was actually prepared to fight for- joint custody of his daughter Cheyanne. As the saying goes never judge a book by its cover – because Mr Crawford certainly proved himself to be a bit of a revelation and I can honestly say I developed a bit of a soft spot for Easton. The story jumps forwards a number of years and we find Easton in New York, a single father, with the needs of his daughter Cheyanne definitely coming first in his life, not to say that his needs are not being met.Talked into taking his first vacation in years by his best friend Avery – Easton is bothered at first that Avery has suggested a one week’s singles cruise from California to Mexico. but since he is not looking for a partner, he knows his needs will be met by the plethora of singletons on board. Avery is a different kettle of fish – long-time friend to E (Easton) and Uncle A to Cheyanne (for some reason Avery likes to refer to everyone by their initials) he is definitely looking to find “the one” as he puts it on the cruise. Little do they know what lies in store for them? Brooke Bradley is a bright, funny woman – a paralegal by profession but nurturer by nature – who since being tasked by an errant mother at the tender age of 13 to care for her little sister – has been caring for those around her ever since including her woeful boyfriend Jared. Brooke’s best friend Nicole gives her a gift for her 30th birthday, a one week cruise to Mexico (can you see where this is going!) Not being a fan of the useless Jared, it takes Nicole a little while to come clean with Brooke and admit it is a singles cruise. And not being someone to cheat, Brooke only agrees to go as Nicole’s “Wingman”, she is not interested in meeting anyone else – no matter how shaky her relationship with Jared is at the minute. Some Sun, Sea and a Massage ( to help take care of a painful shoulder problem) is all Brooke is looking for – but then again she doesn’t know that she is about to come face to face with Easton Crawford. Brooke and Easton strike up a friendship after being left together by their otherwise occupied best friends. Brooke admits to Easton that she has a boyfriend but to his credit Easton takes it in his stride and their relationship remains platonic for the duration of the cruise. A kiss on the final night is all it takes for them both to know that there is between them and no matter what – their impending goodbye is never going to be forever – it is just a shame that they don’t get a chance to talk before they depart. Easton is giving Brooke the space she needs to deal with her relationship with Jared but it does not escape him that she is in his every thought. News of Brooke’s medical situation reaches Easton through his friend and unwilling to just take a back seat – he steps up to be the man she needs . The ensuing relationship between Brooke and Easton is a romantic waltz through modern life’s trials and tribulations – family life for Easton, work and illness for Brooke and the not too small a matter of the fact that they live in different cities. But determined to make her his “superwoman” Easton is romance personified. He woes and surprises Brooke at every opportunity, and is there for her when she needs him most. Destiny had a plan for these two and in this the first of the series – it is clear to see that there is much more to come not only from them both but also from Nicole and Avery. Life can be a bitch but it never gives you more than you can cope with and these two can cope with everything that is thrown their way, because they have each other. I look forward to the next instalment.
After reading my Co-blogger's Review for this book I simply had to read.
After going through a bitter divorce, Easton wife dies after leaving a mediation where they got into it pretty badly. Dana died in a car accident leaving Easton a widow to raise his baby girl Cheyanne as a single father. Easton carries a lot of guilt over the way things ended with Dana and her untimely death.
Years later Easton is just drifting through life with only his daughter as his main focus but at the back of his mind something something is missing "My father told me that when I met the one who I was supposed to be with forever, she would devour my every taught. She would make me smile just by her walking into a room, and also make my dick hard at the same time."~Easton
Brooke is a young women stuck in a dead end relationship with her complete lazy tool of a boyfriend. For Brooke's birthday her best-friend books them on a cruse (a singles cruise).
Avery, Easton's best friend is tired of being single and tired of seeing his friend fill his weekend with different women, so he booked them on that very same singles cruse.
Neither Easton or Brooke had any exceptions for the cruise, but as soon as they met on the first day the sparks were undeniable and the chemistry almost combustible. Even thought the sexual tension between them was like a constant electric current between them, they never crossed the line. I respect them both for keeping themselves in check especially Brooke even though her relations with her good-for-nothing boyfriend was practically over. Their friendship was beautiful, honest, pure and lead to changes in both their lives. "Easton was right. I needed to take that leap. I was changing into a different women and it was all because of him." ~Brooke
I really liked all the characters and story line; Brooke is a strong beautiful women who deals with whatever life throws her way head on. After returning from the life changing cruise Brooke had to face two major hurdles but I loved the way she handled them.
When Easton departed from the cruise his future relationship with Brooke was uncertain, but he manned up and fought for what he wanted. "She deserves so much better and I will fight to prove it to her. I need to be true to myself. I can't hide or lie any more."~Easton
I'm happy that I read this story because its captivating and heartfelt. The story is well written with a good flow, Kimberly's writing has also come a long way and I will most defiantly be reading the books to follow in this series. Just so you know this book does not end with a cliffhanger but Nicole and Avery's story will be told next. Those two hit it off whiles on the cruise and spent the week going at it like rabbits.
"People are brought into our lives for may reasons. Over time, we find out what those reasons are. Some are to be a temporary acquaintance while others are there for life."~Brooke One of the main thing that will stay with me for a long time after this book is the main lesson I took away from the story which is summed up perfectly in this quote. "You Never Know when It will be your last day, so live with no regrets. Love with no regrets."~Brooke
Defiantly get to know Brooke and Easton if you don't your seriously missing out, the story is organic, meaningful and a positive reflection on life and everyone can take away something from the story.
"Brooke made my dick hard when she walked into a room, and she put a smile on my face at the same time. That's when you know your in love."~Easton
"Easton was my best friend, my boyfriend, my lover, my soul mate."~Brooke 4 Stars from Natasha
***** I received an ARC copy for an honest review *****
Wow, I just finish reading this book, and once again Author Kimberly Knight left me speechless. I loved it. I love the characters and love how the story turned out to be. I have to say that at some point, I got mad at one of the character. I really had fun reading this book and love how the characters came together.
The first few chapter will tell you about Easton and Brooke's separate lives, which is great cause you get to see how they met, and how their chemistry toward each other grew more each day that passed by. This is a heart warming love story.
The story began with Easton fighting to gain custody of his five year old daughter. That was the day that change his life, and he had full custody of his daughter, Cheyenne. He never brought a woman to his house or in his daughter's life, he just was not looking for the one. Five years later Easton was part owner of a bar name Halo with his best friend Avery. He had his own house and all he did was work to support his daughter...and occasional hook-ups.
Brooke lives with her boyfriend. They've been together for four years. On Brooke birthday, her best friend Nicole gave her a ticket to go on a cruise. Brooke's boyfriend, Jared, was a lazy bum and all he could think about was playing his X-Box games and their relationship felt more like they where roommates to Brooke. A few days before the cruise, that's when Nicole told Brooke that it was a cruise for single people.
Once they where on the cruise, that's where Brooke and Easton met each other. From there, they became good friends and they got to know each other. Easton taught Brooke how a man is supposed to treat a woman. That's when she opened her eyes and knew that she was not happy with her boyfriend. Brooke taught Easton how to be a better man and father. Going on the cruise was not what Brooke and Easton was expecting and their lives changed.
I feel in love with this couple. I love the way that Easton is there for Brooke when she needed him the most, how good of a father he is, and I love to see him taking care of the ones that he loves.
I really enjoyed and loved reading this book and I hope that once you get the chance to read it, that you would love it as much as I did. Author Kimberly Knight THANK YOU for introducing me to this amazing characters and this awesome book. Cant wait to read more of your books.
Disclosure: ARC received from author in exchange for honest review. All opinions are completely my own.

This is a story of romance, redemption, and second chances. Tattooed Dots will make you despise the hero, rip your heart out, and ultimately have you falling in love with Easton.
I said it. You'll hate him, really truly despise him. I could make excuses that he was young and stupid, but honestly he was young and stupid. Move forward in time and he has moved, has a child, and owns a bar with his best friend. Easton's hot and all grown up (okay, 31). But he grows up, a little because of age and a lot because of his child. Don't get me wrong - Easton is a total player, but when he meets Brooke all bets are off.
Brooke meets Easton on a singles cruise, even though she isn't technically single (blame her best friend, Nicole). Brooke won't let herself become a cheater, since she is still in a relationship, but that doesn't stop both she and Easton from talking and falling for each other. Nicole and Easton's best friend, Avery, become an item on the cruise and that forces Easton to spend even more time with Brooke. Even though Brooke is running away by the end of the week, that doesn't stop Easton.
Kimberly Knight weaves a story of sweet love, growing up, and facing what life throws at you with the person you love by your side. Easton is there to catch Brooke when life throws a few twists into the mix. This story hit home for me and holy crap, let me tell you I was bawling! (Damn you, Kimberly!) Tattooed Dots had the perfect ending with the best characters.
There are some loose ends for the characters, but this is the first book in the Halo Series and I cannot wait to read the rest of their stories. I can say I've never met a Kimberly Knight Book that I didn't love. Just add this one to the list.
I had a lot of hope for this book after reading the blurb, but it did not live up to my hopes :( My main complaint was the maturity of the characters, specifically the main male character. Even in the beginning, when he was still young, he acted much younger than his age. He seemed more like a spoiled frat boy than a husband and father. He told us (in his POV) how awful his ex-wife was, how she nagged all the time, and then in the next paragraph, told us how he became a male model and cheated on her with lots of whores. I wondered why she nagged? It couldn't have been because you were an emotionally and physically absent playboy who forgot he had a family to take care of? No, didn't think so. And then at his custody hearing, he was feeling up his own lawyer (not to mention what they got up to in the parking garage!). In the car on the way home, he started to feel a little regret, but said there was no way he was going to apologize to his ex-wife because of how horrible she had been. And then of course she died. His relationship with the female MC didn't redeem him in my eyes because so much of the focus there was on her illness. And also because he still seemed pretty self-unaware and absorbed. I like a good romance, but to me that means there is some sort of character development, and unfortunately, I wasn't seeing that here.

oh my god!! This book was amazing. I have been wanting to read Kimberly Knight's books for a while now and just haven't had the chance until recently. Tattooed Dots was phenomenal! I absolutely fell in love with the characters, every one of them except maybe Jared because well he's a douche. Easton acted like a douche but was really just broken and needed to fine the one. I love that he had no filter and of course neither did any of the other characters but Easton was my absolute fave. I think he's become my new book boyfriend. I wanted to cry when I found out Brooke had a tumor. The thing I loved most about Tattooed Dots is that Kimberly seemed to know exactly what she was talking about when it came to Brooke's procedures and all, once finishing the book I soon found out why and my heart goes out to her. I hate when I read a book and an author doesn't do all the research that was so not the case here. I could relate on so many points in Tattooed Dots, I love when an author writes from experience because there are so many others out there that can relate. I highly recommend Tattooed Dots, it's HOT! I can't wait to see what's to come in the rest of this series!
This book is not what you think.... It's sooo much more. I went into this thinking about a tattooed covered hot model and was pleasantly surprised when tattoos took on a whole new meaning.
I started reading and instantly hated Easton. He was an arrogant A$$ that was unfaithful and had a different woman nightly. Although, my hate didn't last long. I cried and felt so sorry for him and wanted him to be a better person for his daughter.
Brooke is sweet but almost to a point that you want to slap her and say open your eyes and see whats going on in your life. Jared is a douche and got everything he deserved. That whole part after the cruise is hilarious. I am sure there are many Video Game Widows that would love to do just what Brooke did.
I love the cruise and how Brooke and Easton Meet and how she was able to stay strong and true to herself. You will laugh and cry during this book.
This is so hard to write and not have spoilers. I can't wait until the 3rd book comes out. Although I love Avery and Nicole, I can't wait to get into Brooke's past a little more.
Tattooed Dots. A true ESR (easy sexy romantic). Although this book starts off with a TWIST - I was intrigued from the end of the prologue. Easton is first a dad (uh, love that!). Bar owner. Former model. Sexy. Likes the ladies to get the O. Brooke... well she has had her heart broke. Can she learn to trust? Who knows - but the ride was fun to see. A couples cruise - that was fun to read. I love how this book told a great story. I read it quickly. I loved the writing style.
Kimberly Knight is brilliant and she has written an amazing novel! Tattooed Dots is a beautifully written love story about two soul mates finding each other after years of searching and yearning for something they didn't know existed until they found each other. Their journey is about overcoming the low valleys and high mountains together and building the life they both earnestly wish to obtain.
From the Prologue, I was addicted to Easton’s struggle. Throughout the story, my heart began to flutter even more as this strong alpha male fell hard for the beautifully strong Brooke. It all began with a birthday gift from Brooke’s best friend, Nicole. They are going on a cruise to Mexico. Easton’s best friend, Avery decides the best way to find his soul mate is to drag his wingman on a single’s cruise, too. Little do they know, but all four of their lives will change forever in only 8 days.
The four meet during the fire drill and become inseparable. Brooke is up front and honest with Easton making sure he knows she has a boyfriend at home and is only here for her best friend. Avery and Nicole fall hard for each other and Easton and Brooke end up spending time together building a strong bond of friendship while secretly wishing they could act upon their desires for one another. At the end of the cruise, Brooke is scared by her feelings towards Easton and leaves a note saying she needs time to decide how she feels. Easton is unsure if they will have a future together.
There is an underlying problem with Brooke’s shoulder during the course of the story and even though her doctor has prescribed pain pills for it thinking it was only a pulled muscle, the pain continues to worsen. Nicole is concerned and schedules an appointment with the doctor she works for. From there the emotional roller coaster begins.
Both couples are intertwined so perfectly! You can feel the turmoil, anguish, lust, and eventually love that they share. Even though this is Easton and Brooke’s story you also able to follow the beginning of the fiery relationship of their best friends. Overall, this is a remarkable novel that I highly recommend you read. The author develops each characters’ flaws, desires, hopes, and dreams; thus enabling you to feel a close connection to them. I’m looking forward to reading more books in this series. Tremendous story, Kimberly! Thank you for creating these incredible characters, and delivering a novel full of hours of entertaining romance with a happily ever after ending. ~Flo

Easton didn't want to ever be in LOVE again, he I didn't think his heart could take it....after loosing his first wife and having to bring up his daughter Cheyenne with just the help of his parents life was getting harder and harder. His theory was one night and out so he didn't get attached for his sake and because he never wanted to bring Cheyenne up to get attached to another female if he knew they weren't going to be sticking around.
Brooke was stuck in a relationship that she thought was LOVE but Jared wasn't really what she thought she wanted but he was her safe zone.....until one day Nicole gives her the best birthday present....a cruise....but little does she knows it is a single cruise, but why would Brooke go on a single cruise is she was in a relationship ? She really didn't think it was a good idea but a vacation was what she needed. Time for herself to think of what she wanted, Jared....Marriage....Kids ?? Brooke raised her sister when she was little while her mom was off with the boyfriend of the month, so she knew this cruise was a time for herself to relax and enjoy quite time. But Nicole had a different view of the cruise....find herself the "ONE" but can Brooke find her "ONE" too ??.
Easton and Avery have different views of the cruise also.....Avery was looking for his "ONE" also but Easton was just looking for a good time, so when Avery finds Nicole ....you know what happens....but Easton and Brooke discover each other. There are the true sole mates but just don't know it yet......
But sometime life throws you a curve ball and when Brooke gets home she finds out the relaxation she needed because her should has been hurting for months turns into a life threatening illness and she needs Easton more that she ever thought she needed anyone in her life because she always took care of everyone and NOW she needed him to take care of her.
Will Easton change his mind about the one nighter's and let Brooke into his and Cheyenne's heart and will Brooke let someone take care of her for a change ?
I loved this book, so raw and emotional at times !! What an amazing and fantastic lived story !!
After reading the Perfect Fit B & S Series by Kimberly Knight I was impatiently waiting for her new Halo series to come out and I was NOT disappointed. The first book in her new series Tattooed Dots was well worth the wait. I couldn’t put it down! I thought that there would never be a love story like Brandon and Spencer, which was until I read about Easton and Brooke. Tattooed Dots has everything that a girl could ask for in a romance; a sexy refined player; drama; and above all a hot and steamy romance. From the moment I read the Epilogue I loved Easton. I loved him for all of the things that he was and all of the things that he wasn’t. Sure he had his faults, sure he was a player; sure he cheated on his wife; but the one thing I knew that would redeem him was the love for his lil peanut his daughter Cheyenne. And let’s be honest nothing is sexier than a man who absolutely loves their children, am I right? Of course I am. Then we have Brooke, she is smart, beautiful, caring everything that a man would want in a woman. Any man would do whatever they could to be with a woman like Brooke except for her jerk of a boyfriend who barely paid her any attention and would never chose her over his video games. She knew she deserved more than what she was getting from Jared but she didn’t realize this until she met Easton. Easton showed her how a real man would treat her. You will laugh; you will cry; you will not be able to stop smiling. Easton and Brooke are the new definition of the perfect love story; mainly because neither one are perfect. However, they are perfect for each other. Just remember that every asshole deserves a princess.
I Loved Kimberly's B&S Series and couldn't wait to hit this Baby. We first meet Easton the hero in the prologue during his divorce case and quite frankly I wouldn't even feed him to the dogs. He was the pits and its not fair to the dogs, but what we saw was a man who loved his daughter to the ends of the earth even though he was the worst husband on the planet. Easton gets what he is fighting for but this comes at the expense of a tragedy.
Brooke, the heroine. Dear sweet Brooke who has everybodies best interest at heart and in return gets a boyfriend who's a dick. I'd love nothing more than to shove a PlayStation up his rear end but that's a waste of a play station.
Eastons friend Avary drags him onto a singles cruise and Brooke's friend Nicole drags her on a singles cruise for her 30th even though she's not single.
Easton and Brooke strike up a friendship that helps them realise that there maybe aspects of their lives that are not as perfect and they deserve better.
Without spoiling a major story line let's just say Easton comes up trumps and we see his growth as a person. Brooke finally has a person that gives a damn about her and will do anything for her.
There are great supporting characters in Avery and Nicole and can't wait for their story.
Having never read anything by this author before I was pleased and lucky to obtain a review copy from a Facebook book page/blog. I love the story and the writing (although there's a few typos which would benefit from another proofread!). The relationships played out in this novel are realistic, making the book believable, unlike many of the romances we all seem to escape into these days. I was mildly disappointed by the ending because it came too soon for me and with about 7% of the book to go according to my Kindle app which turned out to be a preview/excerpt of another great book I've already read and recommend. I was VERY pleased to learn there's more to this couple and the other characters to come and can't wait for the next installment whenever it's going to be here because this is a tale I won't forget come the second release even if it takes ages. Easton, the male lead in this will have you yearning to be Brooke and if you're in a relationship will make you assess your partner according to where he comes on the scale of Jared to Easton!! I just discovered a new favourite author - thanks Crazy Cajun Book Addicts :D
“I look at the clock as it ticked, second by second, minute by minute…” ~Easton
Time passes so quickly. No one knows what tomorrow holds and that is so true for Easton, Dana and Brooke. Lives change by chance, chance changes lives. Growing up too fast by the chances life hands us is how two troubled soul mates came together and created something beautiful. I’m so in love with this story. The characters are developed to the point where I felt I was part of the story.
One character in particular is swoon worthy. Any man who will fly their daughter across country just to make sure she got to her destination okay to only immediately turn around and fly home, melts my heart. He always had his “first” girl in mind. Even when he found the “other” girl who fulfilled the missing parts of his heart, he still kept his “first” girls needs ahead of his own in wanting to fill the lonely void.
I love it, it’s a beautiful story. Absolutely breath taking bitter-sweet story.
Take the time to read this amazing story of regret, hope, love and valuing the time we have.
This may be one of my favorite Kimberly Knight books yet!!
Easton is a perfect example of overcoming your past. He is such a sweetheart in this book and the little bit of edge in his personality is really what gives him that extra hot factor! Through out the book you go from liking Easting to loving him and thinking he is pretty damn amazing!
Brooke is an amazing character in this book, and although she is strapped to a total loser, Jared, she has the potential to be the person she wants to be. I personally think she was with Jared because she was so used to taking care of someone else.
When Easton and Brooke meet, you just know that they are totally meant to be.
This is such an amazing book, that I cannot help but LOVE!! If its on your TBR list, make sure its near the top… TOTALLY WORTH it!!
I give this book a 5+ star review!!! IT IS A MUST READ!!
