Jordan Hall's shift is cut short when she takes yet another risk she shouldn't have. Not only does it lead to a suspension, but her partner of four years decides it's time to move on and team up with another paramedic who's less keen on breaking all the rules. Then, when Jordan's ambulance is high-jacked with her still in it, things quickly go from bad to even worse. Sawyer Lazzaro, the mysterious stranger who kidnaps Jordan at gun point, is an absolute enigma. In spite of the fact that her life is in danger from the moment they meet, Jordan can't help but be drawn to him and soon finds that beneath the dangerous exterior lies her own personal safe haven. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Jordan jumps into the driver's seat as the two make a run for it, evading enemies on both sides of the law and searching for the road that will get them out alive. **CONTENT WARNING: Language/Some Violence**

Dog Lover who likes her pastries full of cream and sugar...oh...and I write some ;-)

Aside from being an author, I am also a mom to a beautiful little girl. I tell everyone I named her after my great-grandmother (because that's the mature answer), but really, I named her after my favorite princess - just so happens I got lucky and they had the same name...If I wasn't a writer, I would work on a horse ranch - I'm an animal lover (in addition to dogs, horses are at the top of my list). I wear flip-flops pretty much everywhere I go. I would rather stay awake until 5 am than get up at 5 am (years of bar tending have left their mark), if I can, I'm going to the beach AND I will always be nice to people who bring me chocolate...or coffee...if you bring me both, I'll probably love you forever.

I write the way I live, following the story wherever it may lead, always ready to start the next one. This is clearly reflected in my body of work which to date includes everything from Children's Lit to Thrillers.
I happily reside in sunny Florida (for now) with my daughter and three dogs.

Drive is a short story, and even though it was short, it was awesome. i think this is one of the few books that had me grinning the whole way when i was reading it. its just so cute, impulsive, suspenseful and perfect. and there's even a freaking leopard named Jet. i think i was in love with the girl (no lesbianism intended), Jordan, since the start when she actually risked her life to save someone else. and the fact that she risked her life daily, even when that was so not in her job description, damn. she's da bomb. okay, anyway, basically this story is about Jordan, who was a paramedic. and she got suspended because she doesnt follow standard protocol. she always rushed in to save the people, without waiting for the police to arrive. and then there was the guy, Sawyer. hot, sexy undercover cop, who hijacked her ambulance. and then there was the high speed chasing and mobsters and other cool stuffs. i dont know about you guys, but i personally love all this. and the girl is one hell of a kick-ass driver. and then there's Fish. a super cuuuute BRITISH hacker with a funny name. im totally in love with him, and the way he can manipulate computers and even turn all the traffic lights to green. HAHA. i really love this book. and wouldnt it be cool to have another book based on Fish? and his leopard, Jet, of course. BUT ANYWAY, yeah i love the story line, and the way the girl was actually portrayed. its like, you wont be thinking "oh, where's Sawyer to save her?" because she's not that kind of helpless girl. in the end, it was actually thanks to HER that all the shit ended. YAY GIRL POWER. hahah, but all jokes aside, i really love this book. :)

It doesn't take long for you to fall into the action and fast pace of this book. Actually your in the middle of some pretty quick stuff on the first page. Spontaneous quick on her feet doesn't always think things through before reacting Jordan will have you holding your breath a few times. And don't forget about Sawyer. Swoon. Although the romance connection relationship between Jordan and Sawyer happens in basically the blink of an eye don't expect it to go smooth. Due to the quick brought togetherness the road is rocky, quirky, and your going to stumble a lot. But the adventure never lets up. Just the moment you think hey I can take a breath now, you turn the page and you realize you were wrong. A great story that will not let you put it down because you have to know what is going to happen next.

Jordan Hall never follows protocol and tonight was no exception when she went to a rescue without back up. Suspended and abandoned by her EMS partner Jordan is swept up into a cross country romp with an undercover cop suspected of murder. Several stolen cars later they pick up Fish and try to stay one step ahead of the law and the mob. Throw in romance and suspense and you have the perfect storm for a riveting novel. Kudos to Ms. Thomas for penning another gem.
This gets five stars for sure.

I received an ARC in exchange for a review. I thought it was an ok story. The beginning and ending were action packed but the love story was lacking. I couldn't even tell that they had fallen into bed together until pages later. The story came together toward the end. My favorite part was the chase scene. :)

I received a copy of the book for my honest review and I absolutely love this book. It's got some action and suspense in it.

Jordan is a paramedic. When her ambulance is high jacked. She seems to be attracted to the sexy guy who is the high jacker. Will she get over it or will he be addictive?

I'd like to give it 2.5. It started out really good, then it just seemed to lose pace.
